Maxx "C" opens the week, and this thing is so
rare because...? Level 2, Ea rth attributed, Insect
monster, with 500 attack and 200 defense. There
isn't a whole lot to do with this card, honestly.
You get to Draw one card ea ch time your opponent
Special Summons a monster.
You can only activate this cards effect by
sending it to the Graveyard from your Hand, so while
you can do it during either players' turn, obviously
they know it's coming...realistically speaking it
probably isn't enough to keep your opponent from
performing a Special Summon.

Hopefully, you all had a good time at the STOR
Sneak. We're starting off the week with a highly
sought-after card, Maxx C. It's not the shiny, black
kind. Instead, it's the card that turns into a LOT
of draws. For instance, chain it to the opponent's
summon of Quickdraw Synchron to draw 2 free cards,
one when the Fluffies come, and another for the
summon of Drill Warrior.
Gate of the Six activated? Looks like you're
drawing anywhere from 3 - 5+ cards. It's crazy.
However, you might not want to main this card.
Against other popular decks, such as Gravekeepers,
Watts or Karakuri, there won't be enough special
summons to go around and steal from.
Remember that Maxx C doesn't give you a draw for
that first summon. You need to look at that first
summon, and try to predict what will happen next.
You'll either draw a few cards, or really mess with
your opponent's plans. Like Effect Veiler, D.D. Crow
and Skull Meister, you can toss this card at the
opponent at any time. Use all of that to your
advantage somehow.
4/5
Art: I wonder what's in the "C" series's fridge.
Fun Fact: The 13th Pokemon movie was on last night.
Tomorrow: People like generic quick-play spells like
Book of Moon.

Today's review is gross. Someone should have
brought some Eradicating Aerosol.
Maxx "C" is a somewhat weird card, but it's
definitely got potential to be good. The stats are
terrible, and the typing is terrible, but you're not
really using Maxx "C" as a monster card, per say. By
pitching him from your hand, you will be able to
draw a card each time your opponent Special Summons
that turn. You can only play one Maxx "C" per turn,
so no stacking them.
This an especially cool effect when chained to
something. For example, your opponent Normal Summons
XX-Saber Boggart Knight and activates the effect.
You chain Maxx "C". You get to draw a card,
instantly replacing the Maxx "C" you lost, so you're
already doing better than Upstart Goblin. But the
best part is, your opponent had wanted to bring down
Pashuul to Special Summon Faultroll, then summon
Hyunlei. Your opponent can choose to continue with
his play, of course, and let you draw five or more
additional cards this turn... or they can simply end
the turn, to get out from Maxx "C"'s effect.
This same type of trick works splendidly versus
plant decks, Quickdraw, Infernity, Blackwings, and
pretty much any deck that can Special Summon
multiple times per turn.
If your opponent lets you draw a ton, then great.
If they hold off on making their good plays, then
that's great too. It's a win-win scenario!
Maxx "C"'s main flaws are that it's a purely
reactionary card. You can't really be forceful with
it, you'll just have to wait for the right moment.
And of course, it won't actually stop those Special
Summons. If your opponent is going to OTK you, Maxx
"C" won't help much (Unless all those draws get you
Tragoedia or Gorz!). Aside from that, it's terrible
stats aren't helping much, although it is prime
fodder to revive with Debris Dragon to summon Iron
Chain Dragon.
Traditional: 3/5 I can see this being side
decked. If you're playing any Exodia OTKs, this
could potentially help you win on your opponent's
turn, depending what your opponent is playing.
Advanced: 4/5 Since it's so easy to use as a
makeshift Upstart Goblin at worst, Maxx "C" is
definitely a good piece of splashable tech.
Art: Shiny Black "C" had thousands of babies. All
named Maxx.
