Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En
#STOR-EN041 1 Warrior-Type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Six Samurai" monsters
Once per turn, when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card, you can negate the activation of that card and destroy it. If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can destroy another "Six Samurai" monster you control instead.

A Six Samurai Synchro Monster...interesting.
Legendary Six Samurai-Shi En is a Level 5 Synchro
Monster, of the Dark attribute, Warrior monster,
with 2500 attack and 1400 defense. Synchro
Summoned with one Warrior Tuner and one or more Six
Samurai monsters. Easy enough being Level 5 I
believe.
Now, once per turn when your opponent activates a
Magic or Trap card, you can negate said cards
activation and destroy it. It doesn't have to
be the first card, so that's a bonus. It adds
some versatility to this card, which is nice.
Furthermore, when this card would be destroyed, you
can destroy another Six Samurai mosnter you control
inated. A nice bit of protection helps too.
2500 is powerful enough, and Level 5, even with
specific monsters won't be difficult.

The COTD is warping
space to get bigger card pictures from Konami, just
for us! First Konami, THEN THE WORLD!!!
Unfortunately, that's also the case for the Six
Samurai. Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En is one of
the biggest reasons as to why all you
non-carelessly-spending-rich-people might not be
winning many tournaments after Storm of Ragnarok.
2500 ATK on a level 5 Synchro is great. A huge
support backup is great. Samurai protection is
great. A free negation every turn is more than
great.
The Samurais swarm. And swarm. And swarm. And they
have Tuners, now. Shi En's protection isn't always
needed, but seals a victory if there's no FTK.
5/5

Fun Fact: I'm writing a Karakuri article for you
guys.

Today’s Card is Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En.
Shi En is a pretty broken synchro monster. First
off, this card is incredibly easy to summon with the
Samurai deck; they have their own 3 star Boggart
Knight and their little 2 star tuner making bringing
Shi En to the field almost guaranteed any match. I
like the fact that this card has 2500 Atk, meaning
it can get over Monarchs and other synchros like
Magical Android. What really breaks this card,
though, is its ability to negate your opponent’s
spells and traps once per turn. Not only can this
card negate kill cards, like Smashing Ground, but it
can negate searching cards and draw power cards as
well, like ROTA and Charge of the Light Brigade. Shi
En also comes with some build in defense, so if you
need to keep him around, you can just blow off
another samurai you control.

Today is one of the new Six Samurai monsters. Who
saw that coming? This monster is a strong, level 5
synchro monster, whose effect is good too. Its
effect states that once per turn, if your opponent
uses a spell or trap card, you may negate and
destroy it. Its second effect is the generic six
samurai ability to destroy another six samurai
instead of it. It being a level five synchro has its
advantages too. Using the Six Samurai version of
Boggart Knight, you can special summon the level 2
tuner from your hand to synchro straight into this
big 2500 attacker. As I hope you have seen, this
card doesn’t really have a weakness.

Legendary Six Samrai - Inishi

All I can say about this new syncro is WOW! What was
Konami thinking about creating such a powerful card?
I know it's a specialized card for Six Samrai decks
but come on! Look at all the it has going for it.
-
It's a level 5 with an attack of
2500, which is nothing to sneeze
about. It can get over
other powerful level 5 (Ally of
Justice Catastor, Magical
Android) with no problem.
-
It can negate most trap cards that
would stop it from coming into play
(Bottomless Trap Hole, Trap Hole,
etc.). Remember it can not stop
Solemn Warning or Solemn Judgement.
They negate the summon.
-
Once on the field it's just about
impossible to remove since it allows
you to negate your opponents spells
such as book of moon, enemy
contoller, soul exchange, etc. And
negate their traps such as
dimensional prision, unflipped royal
oppresion, unflipped royal decree
and any non speed spell 3 trap.
-
When it gets destroyed you can
select another six samrai to take
its place. This means in battle or
any other ways it can get destroyed.
So you can go toe-to-toe with
another 2500 attack
creature. Destroy their monster and
keep yours by just destroying your
weakest six samrai on the field.
The only down side I see is that you need "1
Warrior-Type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Six
Samurai" monsters". Meaning you have to be playing a
Six Samrai Deck. But if you are planning to play
this card you are already playing a Six Samrai Deck.
So there really is no down side to it. Just be
prepared to see this syncro monster on your duel
tables soon.

Shi En is basically the backbone of the new
Legendary Six Samurai cards. He's a DARK Warrior,
2500/1400, level 5 Synchro Monster. You must use a
Warrior-type tuner, and a Six Samurai non-tuner.
He's essentially the younger, more virile version of
Great Shogun Shien. Once per turn, you can
negate and destroy any Spell or Trap your opponent
plays. This is a huge effect, which, when coupled
with his second effect, makes Shi En very tough to
take down. His second effect is the standard Samurai
redirection effect. When he would be destroyed, you
can destroy any other Six Samurai monster instead.
As if it wasn't bad enough, you can even further
protect him with the Samurai's new counter trap,
Musakani Magatama, which is a costless Destruction
Jammer while you control a Six Samurai.
Shi En is extremely easy to summon. Simply use
Legendary Six Samurai - Kageki, a Samurai Marauding
Captain, to bring out Kagemusha of the Six Samurai,
the Six Samurai's tuner monster. You can also use
Double Edge Sword Technique to bring him out
quickly. It's very easy to search out Kageki and/Kagemusha,
thanks to Gateway of the Six and Shien's Smoke
Signal. You can easily and consistently be summoning
Shi En on your first or second turn.
Being nearly impossible to take down, huge ATK
points, and a part of a great archetype, expect Shi
En to be making waves for quite some time.
Traditional: 2/5 Samurai might work here, but you'll
probably just get FTK'd first.
Advanced: 5/5 This guy is the new boss of the best
new deck we've had in some time. Watch out.
