Elemental Hero Nova Master, one of the better Elemental Hero Fusion Monsters to come out in ages, is a Level 8 Fusion, with 2600 attack, and 2100 defense, appropriately a Fire Monster, and a Warrior. Nova Master is Fusion Summoned with an Elemental Hero and a Fire Monster. Now, this card can only be Fusion Summoned, and not Special Summoned in another way, kinda of a drawback from the beginning. For positives, when he destroys a Monster, Nova Master lets you Draw a card. 2600 attack, while low enough for a Level 8, is strong enough to hold its own, maybe even for a while, and Drawing is always a good thing. I really feel this is one of those cards that isn't bad, but not great either...maybe waiting for a Deck or potential to be broken open (not necessarily broken, however.)

Ratings:

3/5 for reasons listed above

Elemental Hero Nova Master is our next general Elemental fusion--now we're just missing Wind and Dark. You can make Absolute Zero with Ocean, Gaia with Wildheart and The Shining with Neos Alius, but who can you make Nova Master with? E-Hero Heat, or Command Knight. There aren't many Fire monsters you'd have in an Elemental Hero deck. But this at least gives you more of a reason to use Heat. I use him in my super consistent Hero deck, which focuses on running lots of removal and just a few Heroes, recycled with Ocean and Hero City.

2600 ATK is a little disappointing. The ever-popular T G Rush Rhino beats this with Horn of the Phantom Beast, and it's under the magic 2800. If you're using cards like Burden of the Mighty, though, it doesn't matter. Drawing a card for each destroyed monster is a huge boost if you're using a control-style deck, with Stratos and Righteous Justice to clear the back row.

Nova Master really isn't the best Hero fusion. Zero and Shining are much better in this Trap-infested, TG-tastic metagame, and those two Fusions can net more advantage, faster.

3/5
Art: Mirrors Absolute Zero.
Fun Fact: I will not acknowledge the "HERO".
Tomorrow: I guess we're not done with Synchros.

HEROs, the new term for the Elemental, Destiny, and Evil Heroes, get a big boost in Elemental HERO Nova Master. This Fusion requires an Elemental HERO and a Fire type monster. Its Effect is what makes it so viable; if it destroys a monster by battle then you draw 1 card. The monster does not even have to go to the graveyard so tokens are fair game and Dimensional Fissure/Macro Cosmos will not turn it off. With 2600 attack this HERO is running over a LOT of stuff in the format right now. Card advantage is so important right now in the metagame that most HERO duelist should at least run one. Guess it is time to dig up those Evocator Chevaliers from Warriors Strike.

Elemental Hero Nova Master

The 4th element out of 6 to be released for the Elemental Heroes, Nova Master certainly doesn’t hold anything back. Like his cousins, Nova Master requires any Elemental Hero and another monster of his attribute (Fire). Notable Fire monsters include: Lonefire Blossom, Black Rose Dragon, Evocator Chevalier, etc. I’ve seen a few decks run the Plant engine in a Hero deck to cover Earth, Wind, and Fire. I’ve also seen a few Miracle Gemini decks running Chevalier to cover the Fire attrirbute. Both are solid ideas and I will definitely test them both. Anyway, Nova Master has solid attack and defense and a pretty nice effect. Whenever he destroys a monster by battle, draw 1 card. You should note that he doesn’t have to send the monster to the graveyard so if there’s something like Dimensional Fissure on the field, it doesn’t affect him. This card gives Heroes a bit of the speed they’ve been lacking. He is probably the most difficult to make, but his effect should make up for it. I really like this card and every Hero deck should consider it.

Elemental HERO Nova Master

Another Elemental HERO Fusion in the same line as Gaia and Absolute Zero. This one is slightly harder to make due to a lack of commonly used FIRE Attribute monsters (Lonefire Blossom comes to mind, but that's about it). Drawing a card whenever it destroys a monster is really good, since it's technically a +2, and 2600 attack isn't too shabby. HERO decks get a boost with him nonetheless, as it adds another powerful monster to their Extra Decks. With Great Tornado on the horizon, Debris HERO decks will probably become popular, combining the Plant Engine (or what should be left of it) with the HERO beatsticks for fun Extra Deck shenanigans.

Today, we take a look at a brand new Elemental Hero card for the TCG.

It stands at a nice 2600ATK and a respectable 2100DEF. Also, whenever this card destroys a monster by battle, you draw one card! Pretty nifty.

This card also comes in handy as another target for Super Polymerization, being a FIRE attribute. This also gives better synergy for gemini decks that use Evocator Chevalier. This card is also needed for the Future Fusion FTK/OTK deck, regardless of it's consistency or lack thereof.

Overall, it gives HEROs a new play toy.
