Safe Zone, a Continuous Trap to end the week. So,
you select an attack position monster. The monster
cannot be destroyed by Battle, or by card effects.
It also cannot attack directly. Now, for whatever
reason, I think you can use this on your opponent's
monster, so these stipulations apply the same in
that situation. It might be fun if it was the only
monster they ever played, and you never played one
so they couldn't ever attack you. When this card is
destroyed/removed from the Field, and the same for
the Monster, the other card is subsequently
destroyed. Your monster (the selected monster)
likely becomes all but indestructible, but it leaves
this big fat Continuous Trap on the Field. Unless
you can rid the Field of whatever your stalling
against, this becomes less and less useful.

Safe Zone is one of those cards you hear/read people
talking about but fail to care about until you have
to review it....if your me anyways.
So I finally looked into this card and well...it
suffers from good but not room in my deck syndrome.
As with many cards in the yugiverse, Safe Zone is
good but just not worth a slot in most of your forty
card decks. By losing the ability to attack
directly one of your monsters gains immunity to card
effects and destruction; battle as well. Your
monsters cannot be "targeted" or "destroyed" but the
card itself can be, so its far from amazing.
However, it can lead to some really irritating
situations. Imagine this card behind LSS Shien or
Naturia Bambooshoot. Simply destructive. For that
alone, the card deserves some testing. But as I said
before, its outclassed by staples and other cards.
Test if you feel bold.
Today’s card is Safe Zone, by far the best card
of the week. It is a combination of Forbidden Lance
and Chalice without the attack modifiers, although
your monster cannot be destroyed by battle, and it’s
continuous. This card can protect your themed deck
boss monsters (such as Herald of Perfection) or
toolbox oriented monsters that need to survive (such
as Gladiator Beasts). The activation requirements
are that the monster target must be in attack
position, but it does not have to stay in attack
position. Like all continuous equip-type traps when
the monster leaves the field the card is destroyed
and vice versa.

PS: Again I want to thank you guys for welcoming me
and I look forward to being with you all (my fellow
reviewers and pojoers) for a long time to come.
Today's card was one of my favorites before the set
came out. There was a lot of hype about using this
card with Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En. Some
builds succeeded with it, but most did not. The only
decks these days I see it being successful in is
Herald of Perfection and occasionally Gladiator
Beasts. When successfully equipped to a Herald of
Perfection, the player is in a very good spot. You
don't have to worry about using your negates on
things like Dark Hole, Smashing Ground, Mirror
Force, etc since Perfection will survive all of
that. The only big worries you have are cards that
can remove Safe Zone and that's what your negates
are for. When you combine this with Herald and the
Djinn that stops special summons, you basically win
the game. In Gladiators, I see this card used as a 1
turn Waboku so you can safely tag out and used on a
Heraklinos because that's just annoying. In
traditional, I see very few uses for it with all of
the destruction and backrow removal. This
!
card is good, but will only find itself in a few
decks.

Safe Zone:
This is one of my favorite cards from Extreme
Victory. Being able to provide almost absolute
protection for any monster is really good. You can
drop this bad boy on a Shi En, Herald of Perfection
or even a Kristya just to make sure they won't be
going anywhere anytime soon. The clause about not
being able to attack your opponent directly is
hardly a deterrent to play this card, as you should
feel comfortable just leaving the attached monster
out there and picking off smaller monsters. I really
like this card, as the only common things to really
get around it are Brionac, MST or Trunade, but smart
playing can make those ineffective.
