Gladiator Taming closes the week, a very fun
Quickplay Magic card. The fun thing about this
card is you don't have to play Gladiator Beasts to
use this, in fact, you're liking siding it in case
you come up against them. The first effect is
very reminiscent of Book of Moon, changing the
Battle position of a face-up monster your opponent
controls. Or, you can take control of a
Gladiator Beast from your opponent, until the End
Phase. Use it for Synchro, or equally fun,
attack with it, and then send it away to swap for
something else, but since you're not playing them,
nothing replaces it. Unless you are, then you
can, and that's good too.

Gladiator Taming

Gladiator Taming....dam I didn't think people hated
GBs that much. In NY; Brooklyn specifically, you
find a pretty high base of dedicated Gladiator Beast
players. I can only speculate if such takes place in
other specific locations. Regardless, nobody can
dispute that Gladiator Beasts are a tremendous deck,
that has been doing well throughout its Yugioh
career. They fell off a bit, but are still topping
and showing a presence. Gladiator Taming is simply
not the card to bring them down.
This card isn't horrible but.... its moreso a
question of why? Why would I use this card when
there are so many universal sidedeck cards for GBs.
Thats what GB Taming is, a sidedeck card in a era of
jam packed sidedecks. When a face-up GB card
is on the field you can activate one of two effects.
The first is selecting a face-up monster your
opponent controls and changing its battle position.
Cool...so enemy controller with restrictions. The
second effect to take control of a face-up Gladiator
Beast monster your opponent controls until the
endphase is much better.
Overall, if you haven't learned how to beat GBs or
live in a meta jam packed with them you may want to
try this card out. Personally, I don't have the
space in my sidedeck.
Sidenote: Might be fun to main in GBs if your meta
is full of them as shenanigans will ensue.
