Shien's Advisor, a Level 4, Earth type, Warrior monster, with 1200 attack and 400 defense. While these stats are rather unremarkable on their own, the effect makes up for it. When this card is Normal Summoned, which is a bit odd, as the Samurai like to swarm, if you control a face-up Six Samurai monster, you get to declare a Monster type, and all Monsters of said type can't attack OR be Special Summoned. I like it, a lot. Said effect is in play while this card is face-up on the Field. This may not seem all that possible, but the Samurai have enough damn support that anything is possible, and that it could become incredibly annoying, really fast. Certainly worth trying out.

Shien's Advisor
This Shien guy seems to get a lot of help, but he
certainly doesn't need his Advisor. If you've ever
played YuGiOh, you know all about Six Samurai. The
Samurais FTK/OTK like crazy. This is a control card.
Control cards aren't very useful in OTK decks, even
if they can be sided to lock down type-based decks,
such as Blackwings, Dragunities, Karakuri, other
Samurais, and Plants. But Samurais aren't about
defense. They're about six minute matches.

Shiens Advisor
More Legendary Six Samurai support. Thankfully,
Shiens Advisor isn't "broken" or even particularly
good. The advisor is a 4 star earth warrior -
shocking right - with fairly abysmal stats - 1200
atk and 400 def. Its effect allows you to to declare
one monster type and while said card is on the field
face up monsters of said type can't declare an
attack or be special summoned. Uh...neat I
guess....but you need to control another six sam
when you normal summon him for said effect.
What...why? The question really boils down to why am
I going to tech this in my six sams. Will it speed
up my pumping out shien/barkion and setting up for
control/beats? No. So why? Well...it is a fairly
decent side deck card but I just don't see it being
put to much use. If you want to mess around by all
means but meta players should just stick to basics.
