This card can attack your opponent directly. If this card attacks, it is destroyed at the end of the Battle Phase. If this card is destroyed by the effect of a "Scrap" card and sent to the Graveyard, you can select 1 "Scrap" monster in your Graveyard, except "Scrap Worm", and add it to your hand.

Today's card is Scrap Worm. The worm is a 2-star
earth insect tuner with negligible stats. Its effect
allows it to attack directly, however, it is
destroyed at the end of the battle phase if it does.
Also, if it is destroyed by the effect of a Scrap
and sent to the grave, you can add a Scrap other
than Worm from your grave to hand. And FYI, if he is
destroyed by his own ability, the effect still goes
off. So you summon him, peg your opponent for 500
direct, then get to pull a Scrap from grave to hand.
And if you need, he's a 2-star tuner as well. I'm
not too terribly familiar with the Scraps, but this
seems pretty useful. At least, there's no obvious
downsides I can see.

Scrap Worm, another bit of support for the Scrap
theme, though this time its pretty lackluster. Being
a level 2 EARTH Insect doesn't do much to help
within its deck, and Scrap Worm can't be effectively
used in other decks either. It is a tuner though. It
can attack directly, and if it attacks, it is
destroyed at the end of the Battle Phase. When
destroyed by a Scrap card (including its own effect)
it returns any Scrap monster other than Scrap Worm
from your graveyard to your hand.
It has the benefit of destroying itself easily,
allowing you to grab what you want right away. The
problem is that usually you want to grab those cards
before the Battle Phase, not after. Scrap Worm also
likely used up your Normal Summon, meaning it's very
hard to take advantage of it. At least a direct
attacker is something new to the theme, allowing
them to poke for little bits here and there when
there are defenders in the way. It useful when
combined with Scrap Golem to keep reusing it.
Overall you're probably better off using Scrap
Breaker and Scrapstorm to destroy other Scraps,
rather than using Scrap Worm on itself. A copy or
two might still be useful in some builds, as it has
its niche uses and is a tuner.
