You can substitute this card for any 1 "Nordic" Tuner monster for a Synchro Summon. If this card is used as a Synchro Material Monster, all other Synchro Material Monsters must be "Nordic" monsters. Once per turn, you can send 1 "Nordic" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard to change this card's Level to the Level of the monster you sent to the Graveyard, until the End Phase.

Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant, a Fairy tpe Tuner,
with 1200 attack and 400 defense. Obviously
this is one of the Tuners speifically to fuel the
Aesir Deck, in order to more easly perform a Synchro
to summon Thor, Loki, or Odin. You can use
this as a substitute for any one "Nordic" Tuner
monster for said Synchro.
If you use this monster all other Synchro Material
Monsters must be "Nordic" monsters. Now, the
best part of Vanadis is the fact that she can
discard a Nordic monster from your Deck to the
Graveyard, to change her own Level to the same as
the monster you just dumped, until the End Phase.
This is also great too, as it feeds monsters into
the Graveyard to feed the big boss Synchros too, as
they can be used to be removed for Special Summoning
if they are destroyed, or what have you. If
you are playing with them, you are likey using this
I think.
Today's card is Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant,
which is a 4-star dark fairy with 1200 ATK and 400
DEF, though the stats are negligible because it's a
tuner. Vanadis is the generic tuner for any Nordic
deck, as it can be used as any 'Nordic' synchro
material monster, though all of your other synchro
material monsters must be Nordic as well. Vanadis is
primarily used with the Tanngrisnir tokens in order
to make the Aesir of your choice. She also has an
ability that lets you dump any Nordic from deck to
grave in order to give her the star level of that
monster until the end of the turn, so if you end up
needing a 3 or 2 star tuner for some reason, you can
make her into one. A nice trick you can do is to
dump another Vanadis with this effect, so that your
Aesir will now have two revives instead of just one.
All in all, great card for a deck of any Nordic
variety. Now if only it wasn't so expensive...

Vanadis is what you could call the centerpiece of
the Nordic deck. Her stats are pretty bad, and being
a DARK doesn't do much to help it in the Nordic
deck. As a Fairy, it can work in Valhalla versions.
Vanadis can copy the level of any Nordic from your
deck, by sending it to the graveyard. This can be
very helpful for mixing up levels to get the right
Sychro, and for fueling the revival effects of the
Aesir. It can only use other Nordic monsters when
performing a Sychro Summon, but that's not a big
problem if you use Tanngrisnir of the Nordic Beasts.
Not much to today's review, as Vanadis can't really
be used outside of a Nordic deck. But within that
deck, Vanadis is amazing.
Traditional: 1/5 Nordic's don't FTK.
Advanced: 3/5 If Nordics could just get a bit more
support, they'd be high tier. Vanadis is one of the
reasons for that.
The
Crowing
Here we have a Nordic card. This one is Vanadis
of the Nordic Ascendant, A DARK Fairy Tuner with
1200 attack and 400 defense. Vanadis here can
subsitute itself for any Nordic tuner, since Loki,
Thor and Odin all need specific tuners. So yeah
thats actually pretty good for them. However all the
rest of the synchro materials must be Nordic, which
considering your synching for a Nordic Synchro in a
Nordic deck, probably isnt that much of a stretch,
unless you stuffed your Nordic deck with a bunch of
non nordic monsters, to which I would reply. Why did
you do this? But I digress. Her last effect is you
can send one nordic card from the deck to the grave
to have her be the same level as the monster sent,
so you get a free mill and level adjustment. Pretty
cool, could set up some plays.
So yeah all in all a pretty good card for nordics.

Vanadis of the Nordic
Ascendant
Now here we have some good support for the Nordic
themed decks. Vanadis is a level 4 LIGHT Fairy Tuner
with 1200 ATK and 400 DEF. These stats mean almost
nothing, except that because of the whole Nordic in
the name thing that it works with all of those
support cards, which is not much but a littl ebit of
a plus.
The effect is that it can be used to substitute for
any Nordic Tuner in a Nordic Synchro, meaning it is
easier to bring out one of the Nordic Gods, Thor,
Loki or Odin. It can also send a Nordic monster from
the deck to the graveyard in order to make it's
level equal to the monster that you sent to the
graveyard. It can also only be use in a Synchro
summon if the other monsters are Nordic.
This is the only support card that is even close to
making the Nordic deck playable, in a fun way. It is
a good card, but not quite enough to make it
competitive, which is almost sad. Almost.
