If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. During the End Phase of the turn this card on the field was destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "T.G." monster from your Deck to your hand, except "T.G. Striker".

T.G. Striker, in the genre of yesterday's card,
is a Level 2, Earth attributed, Warrior monster,
with 800 attack and 0 defense. This is a simple
card, and one you are almost certainly playing if
you're playing the Deck. This is a Tuner, who can
also be Special Summoned if your opponent controls a
monster and you control none...better if it were
monster(s) and you had fewer or none, but whatever.
You're only using this to Synchro anyway, you won't
be attacking with this guy about ever. Honestly,
this guy is far less valuable, at least playability
wise, compared to yesterday.
Today's card is T.G. Striker. Striker is really the
core of the T.G. deck. Both of his abilities greatly
help the deck. His first Cyber Dragon like ability
allows you to special summon him for free assuming
that you control no monsters and your opponent does.
This ability is even better with the fact that T.G.
Striker is a tuner, this makes synchro summoning
very easy. Just like the other good T.G. monsters,
Striker comes with a second ability that resembles a
more toned down version of Darksoul's ability. This
adds a lot of consistency for the T.G. deck, if you
have nothing good in your hand you can always set
the Striker and get another T.G. Monster from your
deck when he's destroyed. Also, just to throw in
another awesome point about Striker, he's a warrior,
so you may search him out using ROTA, just saying.

I'd like to apologize for taking the last few
days off. A friend loaned me Portal 2 and I
got addicted to it. Now today I picked up L.A.
Noire, so I may get distracted again.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm not impressed by the
whole T.G. thing. Don't get me wrong, the
synchro monsters are amazing, there are just better
ways to bring them out. It's a decent idea in
theory, synchro into T.G. Hyper Librarian, do all
sorts of combos to pull off synchros every turn and
rebuild your hand then eventually go into something
like Halberd Cannon. But why should you empty
your hand to synchro when so many other decks can do
1 card synchroing?
Anyway, onto today's card. T.G. Striker has
the typical T.G. text of replacing itself if it gets
destroyed. The end phase search works like
Genex Neutron instead of Darksoul if I am reading it
right, so you can't "stack" the effects like
Darksoul. 1 card destroyed and in the grave in
the end phase = 1 search. In addition to the
replacing effect, you have a Cyber Dragon effect
that can allow you to swarm the field. Special
Summon Striker, special summon out Warwolf, Normal
Summon something like Reborn Tengu, let the
shenanigans ensue.
Like I said, maybe it's just me, but T.G. is just a
deck-type that just isn't there...yet. But
when it does get there, I have a feeling that this
card may be a central part of the deck.

Wednesday: T.G. Striker
Continuing our Tech Genus talk, we come to the first
tuner of the archetype, T.G. Striker. Striker is a
level 2 warrior-type monster with 800 atk and 0 def.
However its effect is pretty good. If your opponents
control a monster and you control no monsters you
can special summon him from your hand. Does that not
sound amazing? Did I mention he is Earth attributed
as well? It really helps with getting out the
Naturia synchro trio of Beast, Barkion and Landoise.
This card can easily be splashed in a lot of decks
that are synchro heavy honestly. It's the same as
Unknown Synchron just 1-level higher. I could see
this being teched at 1 in decks like Karakuri or
Machinas where most of the monsters are Earth. This
gives easy access to the Naturia synchros like I
mentioned. This card is honestly probably better in
decks that are not Tech Genus. It could easily be an
influential card of the set. I may be overhyping it
a bit, but I see potential for this card if somebody
can find it. What do you guys think? You think
Striker might have a slight impact on the game? I
think there is a definite possibility.

of impact
Artwork: 2.5/5 Pretty generic looking warrior art
honestly.

Another T.G. monster. Striker is a level 2 800 atk/0
def tuner. If your opponent controls a monster and
you don't you can SS him from your hand...which is
really cool simply because he is a tuner and that
means you can synchro with some ease. He also has
the same replacement effect other T.G. monsters
have; destruction/graveyard = add another T.G.
monster from deck to hand except Striker in the
endphase. Being a warrior you can search him via
Reinforcement of the Army. He can also be used well
with reinforced truth for more synchro potential. He
combos well with the T.G. Warwolf -3 star non tuner
with boring stats- as that monster SS from the hand
when you SS any monster. So you get a themed tuner
monster that can SS and has access to reinforced
truth. I see some potential combos for
synching.
