Mental Seeker...doesn't this guy look like
someone out of the Mega Man universe? We have a
Level 3, Earth attributed, Psychic-type Tuner
monster, with 800 attack and 600 defense. So, I
really like the effect of this card, but I hate what
you have to do in order to be able to get it. When
this card is Special Summoned from being removed
from play, your opponent reveals their top 3 cards
of their Deck to you. One of the cards, of your
choice, is removed from play, while the other two
return to their Deck, and are shuffled. Obviously
this guy combos well with yesterday's card, but I
still prefer Psychics before they started all this
removal stuff. You might even have to remove this
card yourself, just to pull it off. Not bad, but
kinda tricky.

You'll probably never end up summoning Mental
Seeker over Esper Girl--while Esper draws a card,
Seeker provides some intangible advantage by
eliminating an opponent's key card... if you're
lucky. And if you find any Limited cards, you'll
know they aren't lurking around anywhere. Actually,
that doesn't seem too much worse than a draw.
What sets the Seeker apart is that it's a level 3
Tuner. This stacks up to bigger Synchros, whether
through other Synchros or not. Jeez, try typing
Seeker and Psychic and Synchro together. It's very
difficult.
You can quickly hop to Lifetrancer to remove more
Psychics and summon them back through Brain Hazard--Esper
turns Lifetrancer into Hyper Psychic Blaster, and
Seeker works off of Nightmare. Very good psynergy
there (a corny pun AND a Golden Sun reference! I
win!)

Art: So is he a little kid, or...?
Fun Fact: I absolutely refuse to use Sveta.
Tomorrow: Hush! Don't even talk about Sveta.

Mental Seeker

Mental Seeker reminds me of a Hero Kid in
appearance. Unlike the Hero Kids he is not utterly
useless. Three star psychic type tuner with
forgetable stats; 800 atk /600 def. When Mental
Seeker is SS from the removed zone reveal the top
three cards of your opponents deck, select one and
remove it from play, then return the rest to the
opponents deck. One can really take advantage of
this little guys effect with Serene - card reviewed
yesterday- as she pitchs a psychic to the removed
zone via her effect. Same can be said for Silent
Psychic Wizard and Hushed Psychic cleric. You can
also bring Mental Seeker out via Overdrive
Teleporter, Overmind Archfiend, or Emergency
Teleport. With Mind Seeker and the remaining
psychics from this set those interested in building
a psychic deck now have some decent choices. As I
mentioned yesterday the deck can be very frustrating
to play against and has much OTK potential. So try
them out if you are bored as you now have much at
your disposal to play around with.
