Dodger Dragon
LV4 1900/1200
The Normal Summon of this card cannot be negated. Your opponent cannot activate Counter Trap Cards the turn this card is Normal Summoned.

A very interesting card from Extreme Victory that may see sporadic play in a few decks or side-decks. The most obvious, and frankly best, use of this card is in Dragon decks. Use its Normal Summon as a quasi-Trap Stun, then bring out Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and proceed to laugh at the Solemn Warning that the opponent cannot activate. One thing worth noting, Dodger Dragon does not need to remain on the field for its second effect to continue applying. Also, note that it does not say "Counter Traps cannot be activated" but rather "Your opponent cannot activate Counter Trap Cards" so you're free to use your Seven Tools of the Bandit or cards like it to protect your swarm.

The second use of Dodger Dragon is in the side-deck. A 1900 beater that turns off Counter Traps for the opponent is very devastating against decks like Gladiator Beast and Counter Fairy. Imagine you're playing Gravekeepers against Gladiator Beasts and your opponent summon's Laquari and sets a backrow against your T-Set opening, reading a Spy. Chances are, they have a Chariot or Warning to stop your Spy. Summon Dodger Dragon, turn off the Counter Trap, flip Spy, get Descendant, get your plusses.

Unfortunately, the effect only works when it is Normal Summoned. If you could Special Summon it and claim your Counter Trap Stun effect, I'd recommend it higher. As it is, it really only shines in a Dragon deck.

Traditional: 1/5
Advanced: 3.75/5 in a Dragon deck.

Well, here is my review for Dodger Dragon:

So, today we're looking at one of the many TCG exclusives that have been included in Extreme Victory, Dodger Dragon.

Dodger Dragon is an interesting card to say the least. It being a 1900 beat-stick is pretty nice, but it has a pretty neat ability too.

When it's normal summoned, counter traps can't be activated for the rest of the turn. Also, it's summon can't be negated by cards like Solemn Warning, or Solemn Judgment.

Unfortunately, it does fall to cards such as Bottomless Trap Hole, Torrential Tribute, Dimensional Prison, and Compulsory Evacuation Device.
Even so, I see Disaster Dragon decks playing 2-3 copies of this card, because once they summon it, they are free to go off and not have to worry about cards such as Solemn Warning, and the like. Pretty good card design through, and through. That's all for today. See you all next week.
