Target 1 face-up monster you control and 1 monster in your Graveyard with the same Level; banish the target from the Graveyard, then draw 1 card and reveal it, then if the card you drew is a monster with the same Level as the monster on the field, Special Summon it.

Welcome to a short Holiday week. Monster Slots, a
rather interesting Magic card opens our week. This
card allows you to select a face up Monster you
control, and one of the same Level in your
Graveyard. The Monster in your Graveyard is removed
from play, and then you Draw a card. You reveal
that card, and if said card is a Monster, specificly
of the same Level as the original Monsters, the new
Monster can be Special Summoned. This card is
obviously a combo card. Fun to use, but not very
practically. This is a -1, whether or not it works.

It's Thanksgiving this week here on COTD and The
Mighty Pojo has granted us a short review week.
First up is Monster Slots. A normal spell card and
it is an interesting one. You target 1 face up
monster you control and one in your grave with the
same level, banish the one you chose in the grave,
draw and reveal 1 card, if it a monster with the
same level as the monster you control, special
summon it. What could have been a better card is
held back with too many "must be this level"
restrictions. If it was something more like if the
revealed card is a level 4 or lower monster, then
we're talking. Too much set up for a monster that
needs to be the same level as one on your field.
You're welcome to try Monster Slots, but don't be
surprised if it blows up in your face. The only good
side is, you get to draw a card, but your opponent
gets to know what it is. You wanna draw a card? Try
Pot of Duality or Upstart Goblin.

Tomorrow: X marks the spot.
Starting off this week is a common from Photon
Shockwave that I have high hopes for, Monster Slots!
Monster Slots is a Normal Spell Card that requires
you to control a monster and for you to banish a
monster of the same Level in your Graveyard. Doing
that allows you to draw a card and reveal it, and if
it also shares the same Level as your monster on the
field, you Special Summon it.
Decks that use a lot of monsters of the same Level
(Gadgets anyone?) can make good use of this. You
don't have to give up any hand or field presence to
use this card, since the drawn card will either
become hand or field advantage making up for you
using this card. A solid +0 card.
Hopefully this card will find a good use in many
decks.

Shorter week because of a
longer weekend. We’re still on Photon Shockwave so
let’s talk about Monster Slots!
Today’s card is a spell card
with a lengthy setup to it. First, you need a
monster on the field and a monster in the graveyard
with the same level. After you target both of those,
you banish the one in the graveyard. Then you draw a
card and reveal that card. Last, you special summon
that card if it’s a monster with the same level as
the one still on the field.
This can be used in a few
different ways with the most apparent ones being Xyz
summoning and Synchro summoning. But since you’ve
banished something, you can also provide a target
for your Leviair the Sea Dragon. I could also see
this being used in a Piper deck due to the higher
number of monsters with the same level.
I’d recommend that you only run
this if your deck is fairly predictable with its
levels. And I also recommend that you only run one
or two of this card if you do. Since Monster Slots
requires a face-up monster, it’ll become a deadly
dead draw when you’re falling behind.
Traditional: 1/5 (I really
don’t think this would help much)
Advanced: 2.5/5 in regular builds, but a 3.5/5 if
your deck is fairly uniform in level

Angelic Nightmare
Hello to our 3 day week of review, I’m Angelic
Nightmare and this, (Monster Slots) is Las Vegas’
worst nightmare.
We have a spell that lets you banish a monster from
your grave with the same level of one of your face
up monsters, draw a card and possibly special summon
it. This set is full is decent common cards,
something you can’t really say too much about other
sets. At worst, this card replaces itself and you
just thinned your deck out a little bit more.
Granted this card is a little situational with the
requirements, but it can come in handy if you draw
the one card you need to have game.

Hey all sorry I havn't been around for the last
two weeks, but I have been busy with school and
stuff.
To start this short week because of the American
Thanksgiving. (me being Canadian and all we
celebrate it in October)
we have Monster Slots:
Target 1 face-up monster you control and 1 monster
in your Graveyard with the same Level; banish the
target from the Graveyard, then draw 1 card and
reveal it, then if the card you drew is a monster
with the same Level as the monster on the field,
Special Summon it.
Well this an interesting effect, where for
banishing 1 monster from your graveyard you get to
draw 1 card with a chance of summoning a monster if
you drew it with that card, I do like this card, asI
don't find much cost with that card. simple effect
you should try it out.

in your Graveyard with the same Level; banish the
target from the Graveyard, then draw 1 card and

Well, this is an... Interesting card. To be
honest, there's very few decks this card would be
even remotely workable in. the only one I've ever
run that it could ever fit into was my Level 4
Normal Monster deck. IT's far too situational to use
and the effect, while alright, can be much more
easily accomplished in other, more reliable methods.
