Damage Diet, a Trap that could be useful in a
pinch. This trap halves all Damage you take in a
turn, plus by removing this card, you can half all
Effect Damage you take. I think this is a decent
enough card, but not competitive enough to play.

Damage Diet is a pretty decent card to use
against burn decks. Once Damage Diet cuts all of
your battle and effect damage in half for the turn,
you can use it again on another turn to half effect
damage. Those are some pretty nice effects. Maybe
one day when burn decks are top tier, this card will
be useful. For now, just sock it away with your
extra cards. If you are thinking about using it
against swarm decks, try Battle Fader or Swift
Scarecrow instead.

Wednesday is here and it brings us our review of
the 3rd card of TRAP week, Damage Diet. Diet is a
few cards rolled into one and one of the very few
trap cards that can activate in the grave. When
activated on the field, you halve all damage you
take this turn, then you can banish this card from
your grave to halve all effect damage this turn.
While this card is trying to be helpful, there are
better cards out there, like Waboku or even Pikeru's
Circle of Enchantment that prevent all types of
damage. This card falls short just because there are
simply better choices.

Tomorrow: Someone forgot to put "Virus" in this
card's name.
Another common from Photon Shockwave! Damage
Diet!
A simple Normal Trap that halves all damage you'd
take the turn you use it. Plus, you can banish it in
your Graveyard to halve all effect damage you'd
receive that turn.
Not a very good card. There are many other
choices to stop/reduce damage like Waboku,
Threatening Roar, Des Wombat etc that are much
better and have other uses.
Don't use this card, unless you're making a
character deck inspired by Yuma Tsukumo for fun.

Greeting to all, I apologize for my absence.
Finals are around the corner and papers are being
written.
Anyways, today we have a new Common card from
Photon Shockwave- Damage Diet.
“Halve all damage you take this turn. You can
banish this card from your Graveyard; halve all
effect damage you take this turn. (You cannot halve
the same damage twice with this effect.)”
This card isn’t too bad, but it falls just a bit
short of being splashable like waboku and
threatening roar. If a card that has the text “…if
dealt damage by a direct attack…” like watts and
other cards, their effects still go off. If this
card prevented destruction and you still take half
the damage, I could see it being played, but until
then this might best be in the side deck for the
random burn decks if you have the space.
Pros: Chainable, does two things for one card,
can prevent OTK’s, and stall.
Cons: You still take damage and you can’t choose
what effect to activate.

Damage Diet
Normal Trap
"Halve all damage you take this turn. You can banish
this card from your Graveyard; halve all effect
damage you take this turn. (You cannot halve the
same damage twice with this effect.)"
Well, this card works much better than the
previous cards this week. It cuts the damage you
take from battle AND from effects in half, then can
be used again later to help you against effect
damage from the graveyard. If your opponent loves
hitting you hard with large monsters, this card,
while not the best defense, can definitely buy you
the time needed to counterattack. It's not the best
card in the world, but far from the worst as well.

CotD 11/30 Damage Diet
Hello all again, Blackmarketyugioh bringing you
Wednesday's CotD. Continuing with trap week for
Photon Shockwave, we review Damage Diet.
To be perfectly honest, this card has to be one
of the goofiest and most ridiculous cards I have
seen in a while. Straight up, I thinks this card
bites even as one of the worst set filler cards I
have ever seen.
Anyways, this trap says half all battle damage
you take this turn. And also, you can banish this
card to half all effect damage you take this turn as
well. So, you activate, then banish, and all damage
you take this turn is halved. Oh, and you cannot use
this effect twice on the same
damage..........really?
I see this card as not even being used in any
format. It could possibly be used as a side deck
card against burn, but where is anyone playing burn
nowadays? I like the idea that they try to make us a
good card, but we have so many better cards than
this.
Traditional-0/5 Not even looked at
Advanced-1/5 I see someone trying to side this
against burn decks
Artwork-0/5 really the goofiest and weirdest card
I've seen in a while.
