Continuing the week, we come to Sephylon, the
Ultimate Time Lord. This is a Level 10, Light
attributed, Fairy-type Monster, who also has 4000
attack and defense points. Sephylon cannot be Normal
Summoned or Set, and can only be Special Summoned by
having ten or more Monsters in your Graveyard. This
Monster is just screaming for abuse in LIghtsworn
Decks. Now, what can Sephylon do? Once per turn, you
can Special Summon a Level 8 or higher Fairy-type
Monster from your Graveyard. It's effect(s) is(are)
negated, but for a trade off, its attack becomes
4000. Let's see...swarming the Field with 4000
attackers--I like that, a lot.

We have a spectacular card to review for you
today. Sephylon, the Ultimate Time Lord comes with
the card we reviewed yesterday, Shooting Quasar
Dragon, with a paid subscription to Shonen Jump
magazine. First a little back ground. Sephylon is
based on the Jewish and Christian God, Yahweh. It
was named after Sephirot or the Tree of Life which
the ten lower “Time Lords” are based. This is
probably why we have the requirement of 10 monsters
in the grave to special summon it. All of the other
“Time Lords” cannot be destroyed by battle or card
effects.
Sephylon has a fairly easy summoning requirement
in the right deck. Those decks include Fairy decks,
Lightsworn, Twilight, Machine, and Magical Merchant
variants. It is really good in Fairy decks because
they already play around 30 monsters, can get
monsters in the grave quickly, and play several
level 8 monsters in Kristya and Hyperion. Lightsworn
decks can mill quickly, play Kristya, and can clear
the field with Judgment Dragon. They also have
Beckoning Light. Sense Sephylon is a light monster,
all you have to do is load the graveyard with a
couple of Judgment Dragons and Sephylon, play
Beckoning Light, and attack for game.
Machine decks can load the graveyard with Future
Fusion and crank out this bad boy easily. Magical
Merchant variants can load the grave while searching
out key cards like Monster Reincarnation. And then
there are the Darklord monsters including the ones
we just got in Legendary Collection #2. Sephylon,
the Ultimate Time Lord loves to special summon them
as all but one of them is a level 8 or higher. There
will be someone who comes up with an awesome OTK or
FTK deck. One idea is to use a Feather of Phoenix to
place Sephylon on top of your deck and summon
Phantom of Chaos, use its effect on Sky Scourge
Norleras to clear the field and to draw and play
Sephylon, special summon a level 8 Fairy and pump it
to 4000 and attack for 8000 life points.
As you can see, this card is very good and can be
used in a multitude of decks even if they do not
have level 8 Fairy monsters in them.

It's the middle of the week, and we are taking a
look at the JUMP card, Sephylon, The Ultimate Time
Lord. Sephylon is a Level 10, Light/Fairy type with
4000 ATK and DEF. This is a very big fairy.
Sephylon's effect allows it to be special summon
when you have 10 or more monsters in your grave, and
can't be special summoned in any other way. Sorry
Reborn the Monster. Once per turn you can special
summon one level 8 or higher fairy from your hand or
graveyard. That summoned monster's effects are
negated BUT it's ATK becomes 4000. Now before you go
throwing Sephy into your fairy decks, read on. Sehpy
here can be splashed into most decks, including
Lightsworn. Need to get monsters in the grave?
Morphing Jar, Card Destruction, Magical Merchant and
Foolish Burials get monsters in there pretty fast.
While Sephylon's built-in monster reborn that
negates effects and turns its ATK into 4000 is very
good, Time Lord is good enough to stand out in
almost any deck, and could win in a late game, top
decking contest.

Sephylon, the Ultimate Time Lord
Light/ Fairy/ Lv 10/ 4000 ATK/ 4000 DEF
Pros: Light Chaos Food, High Attack, Great Recursion
Effect.
Cons: Summoning requirements, enough said.
Let’s talk about the pros of the card. You have a
4000 ATK beat stick that can have “Honest” to back
it up. It’s effect let’s you revive a lv 8+ fairy
from your great. With the release of the new Dark
Lord monsters in Legendary Collection 2, it
shouldn’t be so hard. The hard part is getting them
into the grave ASAP to get this beefy beat stick on
the field.
The cons, you need 10 monsters in your grave. If
you’re running THAT many Lv 8 monsters I advise
running 3 “Trade-In” at minimum as well as a
recommended Hand/Card Destruction to keep from
clogged hands. Also, maybe running Armageddon
Knight/Dark Grepher might not too bad of an idea
either.
I imagine running this with Gallas the Star Beast
can lead to some nasty burn damage.

I Need Some More Time
These last few weeks have been flying and
honestly I've lost some time and a few reviews plus
our Halloween card review. Luckily though more time
is always easy to find, its always right in front of
you! Now time to end all these time based puns and
start a mess more below by checking out Sephylon,
the Ultimate Time Lord.
It's no joke that the moment Sephylon is
successfully summoned your time is up! I mean if
someone was fighting for the title of Lord of the
Fairies Sephylon took the crown and ate his cake
too. Examining this card you will immediately notice
the brick wall of 4000 atk and def and hope that
their must be some balance via this cards effect:
you can not normal summon or special summon it
without going through his special condition of
having 10 dudes chilling in the grave. That's
it...just ten cards in the grave...well I don't have
to be a professor to tell you that Sephylon +
unprepared opponent = WIN! I mean lightsworn can get
ten cards in the grave in the bat of an eye, mill
decks can possibly set themselves up for this card;
the capabilities for this card could easily fill up
this whole webpage and set it on an endless scroll.
Duelist might say that only being able to pull out a
level 8 fairy is too specific of an effect, but
think about what any person who's reading that just
said: a level 8 fairy...the card you are summoning
itself is already boss even if the effect seems
strict. Add on the cherry on top of this Time Lord
sundae and your newly summoned fairy friend also has
4000 atk, boosting cards like Master Hyperion,
Splendid Venus, Tualatin, Voltanis, and even
Archlord Kristya. I'm definitely seeing this card
make a big impact on the mid to late game section of
a lot of duels as one heck of a show stopper... you
know what...Final Countdown Decks just got ten turns
shorter!
Traditional: 5/5 (Easy to dump the right cards to
your grave)
Advanced: 5/5 (See Above reason)
Art: (While I don't normally comment on this - I
noticed they referenced this guy to basically being
the literal interpretation of God on YugiWiki)
Bonus: Please somebody this with Time Wizard just
for some good old fashion laughs!

Another ridiculously high-powered fairy. Also, if
he's a Time Lord, where's his T.A.R.D.I.S.? Getting
10 monsters into your graveyard will be a lengthly
process, so he's obviously a late game play. There's
not a lot of high level fairys that get used,so his
revive other high-level fairies effect won't see
much play. You'd have to build a deck around him,
rather than just toss him into an Agent deck, so his
usability is limited.

ZONE said, “Let there be
topdecking” and he saw that it was terrible. So he
made Sephylon, the Ultimate Time Lord to make it
right.
This is a level 10 Fairy-type
monster with 4000 attack and defense. To summon him,
you need to have 10 or more monsters in the
graveyard. That’s it really. Oh, and he has an
effect that special summons a level 8 or higher
Fairy from the grave or the hand and raises its
attack to 4000. This kind of effect appears to be a
common feature of the Time Lords; they are great
draws in the endgame.
Lightsworn decks can easily get
10 monsters into the graveyard. Darklord decks have
plenty of high level fairies that can make use of
Sephylon’s revival effect. I’m personally going to
try to make a deck with Aitsu, Koitsu, and this
card.
Overall, this is obviously a
powerful card. A dead draw in the opening and a
miracle draw in the end. Depending on the speed of
your deck and number of monsters in it, you may or
may not want to try 1. Free 4000 point beaters are
always welcome it my book.
