The Forces of Darkness is an incredibly simple,
Normal Trap, one you are obviously using for Dark
World. This is a +1, as you give up this Trap, but
return two Dark World Monsters from your Graveyard
back to your Hand. Early enough in the game, I
suppose it can be a dead Draw, but resource
replenishment is a wonderful thing. If you're
playing Dark World, you're playing 1-2 of these.

I apologize for missing out on yesterday’s card
review as it is one of the key cards to the Dark
World theme that we are reviewing this week, as I
was busy judging YCS Columbus. I bring that up
because as were anticipating Dark World to jump to
the top ranks as soon as the structure deck was
released last week, however this did not happen.
Maybe it is because the top players felt that the
current deck they were playing was more consistent
and that most people would side deck against it, or
maybe no one has hit on an idea to make it more
consistent. (Note: the YCS winner was Billy Blake
and he played the exact deck he played in Toronto).
Dark Worlds are dependant on discard effects so if
you only have monsters that work when they are
discarded, or all support cards, then you loose.
That being said, let’s take a look at one of the
cards that a good Dark World deck may rely on, “The
Forces of Darkness”. Any card that will get you a
two for one is good. By playing this card with at
least two Dark World monsters in the graveyard, we
automatically plus ourselves. Another nice benefit
is that we get to choose which cards we want
depending on our situation. Because this card does
not say add BOTH targets to your hand and says add
THEM to your hand, if one target is removed the
other is still added to your hand. A negative to
this card is that it is a trap card instead of being
a magic card so it is going to work slower. This is
not all bad, however as it can be useful in drawing
out MST’s giving you a plus 2 advantage.
When deciding on if this card would warrant a
coveted spot in our Dark World deck, I looked at
other deck types to see if they played a similar
card, and I found that Gravekeeper’s were playing
two Gravekeeper’s Stele. Gravekeeper’s also did not
play many monsters and had a recruiter to search out
the right monster for the situation. Dark Worlds
have a recruiter for the hand in Scarr although it
has to be destroyed in battle to get its effect.
There are a lot of similarities between Dark World
and Gravekeeper’s that make you believe that maybe
with the right balance between cards, it could still
be top tier. If it does reach this status, look for
“The Forces of Darkness” to be one of the key cards
in the deck.

It's day two here on Pojo's look at the spooky
cards from the new Dark World structure deck. And
time for one of my favorite card names, The Forces
of Darkness. A simple, yet powerful name. And just
as simple is this trap card's effect. Target 2 Dark
World monsters in your grave and add them to your
hand. Good for recycling those Dark World monsters
that have been discarded and are waiting to be
discarded again. But just like yesterday's card,
this card can be shot down by Mystical Space
Typhoon, Heavy Storm before you can even use it, or
cards that banish from the grave, like my favorite,
D.D. Crow. A good, useful card, but too many ways
around it bring it down a little.

For day 2 of the best COTD week we have
The Forces of Darkness
Target 2 "Dark World" monsters in your Graveyard;
add those targets to your hand.
Very simple card, best used in conjunction when
you are forced to discard, and you get to use these
fun cards all over again. not much more to say than
that.
Welcome to the darkside!
Today we are reviewing The Forces of Dark world.
It is a basic trap card that lets you add 2 Dark
World monsters from your graveyard to your hand.
Seems Legit. Lets you recycle and resupply your hand
and its probably going to be played as it can be
chained to MSTorm. Aside from that there is not much
else.

Tuesday:
The Forces of Darkness
Normal Trap
"Target 2 "Dark World" monsters in your Graveyard;
add those targets to your hand."
A good bit of recycling for Dark World decks
that lets you get back any 2 monsters, regardless of
stats. Not a lot to say here since it's a fairly
useful retrieval card for the mid to late game.
