Happy Halloween! Welcome to Shonen Jump Promo
week! Opening this week, we look at Endless Decay.
This is a Level 5, Zombie type Monster, of the Earth
attribute with ? attack and 0 defense. Now, this is
one of the more interesting Monster cards out there.
Level 5 obviously requires a tribute, but Endless
Decay has a way around that. If you have 2000 or
less Lifepoints, you can Special Summon this card
from your Hand. When Normal or Special Summoned, the
attack of this Monster becomes half of your
opponent's Lifepoints. This is obviously best used
when you are really behind, if your opponent hasn't
lost any Lifepoints, the attack would be 4000.
Honestly, it's a nice little piece of Tech, but I
think your Zombie Deck can survive with out it. It's
quite situational.

If you do not have a subscription or two or three
to Shonen Jump Magazine, you are ether broke or an
idiot. Harsh words but true. The cards we are
reviewing this week are all free with your paid
subscription. The first card we are reviewing is the
card from the last magazine, Endless Decay. I have
to admit that I am not a fan of this card. It
requires you to have 2000 life points or less to
special summon from your hand for one thing. If you
have less than 2000 life points, you’re probably
loosing badly or if your not, your opponent’s life
points are down so Endless Decay is not going to
help you very much.
Fortunately, there are other ways to special summon
this monster. One, you can summon it with Pyramid
Turtle, because it has 0 defense. If it is early
game, you would want to search for Endless Decay as
it would have around 4000 attack points. It is also
easy to special summon from the graveyard with Book
of Life, Call of the Haunted, or Monster Reborn.
There are also tons of cards that can bring your
life points down to 2000. I am not a big proponent
for doing that however.
Being a level 5 monster has its advantages. Summon
Cyber Dragon or The Tricky and then this card and
you have yourself a level 5 Xyz monster. It is great
for Synchro summons as well. You can make level 6’s
with Effect Veiler or level 7’s with Plaguespreader.
This leads us to one of its biggest drawbacks. When
cards like Effect Veiler or Skill Drain negate
Endless Decay’s effects, its attack becomes 0 and
stays at 0. That is not good in a meta that is heavy
with both these cards.

It's Halloween here on COTD and we're looking at
a seres of JUMP cards this week. And the first card
is the scary Endless Decay. Decay is a Level 5
Dark/Zombie with ? ATK and 0 DEF. If you have 2000
or less LP, you can special summon this card from
your hand. When this card is normal or special
summoned, Decay's ATK is equal to half your
opponent's LP. Right off the bat, Endless Decay
cannot be special summoned from the deck by Mystic
Tomato due to his attack being ?, but Pyramid Turtle
can get him out pretty easy as well as Call of the
Mummy. Decay can be also used for Allure of
Darkness, and if you wanna keep your opponent's LP
high enough, Upstart Goblins as a draw engine will
make sure Decay's ATK stays high. Endless Decay
makes for great Synchros and Xyzs. The downsides of
this card, is while having a 4000 ATK monster on
your first turn is good, as your opponent's LP goes
down, so does Endless Decay's ATK. Also a well timed
Effect Veiler could turn this monster's ATK into 0.
Also 0 DEF can hurt as well. Endless Decay is pretty
good, and could catch your opponent off guard with a
possible 4000 ATK monster on the first turn, that's
a big scary mummy to knock down.
Traditional: 1 Your LPs could be 0 before you can
get him out.
Advanced: 2.5 He might need his own deck

Tomorrow: This dragon really shoots for the stars.
Starting off a new week is the JUMP promo,
Endless Decay!
Decay is an interesting and quirky Level 5 DARK
Zombie-Type monster with ? ATK and 0 DEF. He has an
effect that allows you to Special Summon him from
your hand if you have 2000 or less Life Points and
when he's Normal or Special Summoned, his ATK
becomes half of your opponent's Life Points.
Interesting indeed. Ideally you won't ever be at the
point where you can use this card's Special
Summoning effect (unless you're using Solemns
recklessly) and his ATK is variable since it depends
on your opponent's Life Points (hopefully they
aren't using Solemns too...). I wouldn't personally
use it.
However, this card does have some things going for
it. Without any Life Point manipulation involved,
this card will have 4000 ATK which is rather hefty.
Plus this card can be easily searched out by Goblin
Zombie due to its 0 DEF, and most notably Pyramid
Turtle.

Just off the Shonen Jump presses, I introduce to you
the newest addition to my Zombie-Sworn deck! Mill
this then use Book of Life or Zombie Master’s
effect! Really though folks, this card can compose a
really big early game threat and easy Synchro/Rank 5
fodder.
Zombie decks are very versatile when it comes to the
deck search/revive game. Search is with Pyramid
Turtle or Goblin Zombie. Also, thi card is dump-able
via Dark Grepher, Armageddon Knight, and Foolish
Burial then revive it with Book of Moon or Zombie
Master.
Pros: Great Attribute, Type, Lv, can be a free
special summon for fodder, and effect potential.
Cons: His effect prevents him from special summoning
himself for massive damage, and the attack potential
can be rather minimal if used late game.
Traditional: 2/5
Advanced 3/5 in Zombie variant decks.

Yet another zombie card, but this one has a very
interesting effect in that he actually helps you
better the more you're losing by. Being able to
special summon him is always a good thing, and this
guy can allow for a major come-from-behind victory.
