Wind-Up Zenmaister, a Rank 4 Xyz Monster, (and you
all know how I feel about Xyz Monsters) with 1900
attack and 1500 defense, both excellent base
statistics, and of the Earth attribute (meh), and
actually a Machine. Now, Zenmaister is Xyz
Summoned with two Level 4 Monsters, which is simple
enough, as at the very least, the two we looked at
this week are Level 4, and essentially garbage.
First, this card gains 300 attack for each Xyz
Material it has, since it starts with two, that 1900
attack becomes 2500, which is quite awesome.
However, again, even if this is automatic, referring
to Creator of the Point System, why not start with
something that has 2500 points? Anyway, by
detaching an Xyz Material from himself, you can flip
a Monster you control face-down, and then put it
back to face-up Attack position during the End
Phase. I'm under the impression (if only
because the card doesn't say otherwise) that this
can work during either player's turn, which is a
bonus, if true. Furthermore, it adds a bit
more playability to the earlier cards this week, as
flipping them down and back up should allow their
effects to be used again. As I believe I've
mentioned before, Xyz need a card that lets them
move Xyz Material from one card to another, like
Magic Counters, or something of that nature.
Even for how this more or less brings the Deck
together, it's still not impressive.

Wind-Up Zenmaister
Closing the week is the Wind-Up boss monster,
Wind-Up Zenmaister. Zenmaister is a Rank 4 Xyz
Monster, requiring 2 Level 4 monsters. He comes onto
the field as a 2500 attacker, which is solid, and
his effect lets you detach 1 Xyz Material to flip
one of your monsters into face-down Defense Position
and then it flips into Attack position in the End
Phase. He probably won't see much play outside of
Wind-Ups, since not many decks benefit from flipping
their own monsters. With Wind-Up Magician,
Zenmaister becomes very easy to summon, and his
effect lets you reuse the Wind-Up monsters' effects.
Since he does go in the Extra Deck and he's pretty
easy to summon, there's no reason not to run two or
three of him.
Traditional: 3/5 (Probably some cool Thousand-Eyes
Restrict combos here, basically he's another
Tsukuyomi)
Advanced: 3/5 (Outside of Wind-Ups), 4/5 (Within
Wind-Ups)
