#ORCS-EN034
Once per turn: You can banish 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard to target 1 Level 4 or lower LIGHT monster your opponent controls; equip it to this card. (You can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect.) If this card on the field would be destroyed, the monster equipped to it with this effect is destroyed, instead.

If you run DARK decks, this is for you. Hate
Lightsworn, or LIGHT variants? This is your guy.
Dark Blade is a Warrior-type, thus he gets all their
good stuff...Such as Reinforcements and Warrior
Returning Alive. And being DARK, he can be thrown in
a lot of different decks. The Captain has pretty
good stats with 1800 ATK and 1500 DEF. But what
really makes him good is his ability to banish a
DARK monster from your grave to nab a level 4 or
lower LIGHT monster your opponent controls and equip
it to Dark Blade. If he is equipped with a LIGHT
monster when it's destroyed, you can send the LIGHT
monster it's equipped with is destroyed instead.
While it maybe a bit situational, but under the
right circumstances, Dark Blade can get past a lot
and survive whatever your opponent can throw at him,
at least once. It's worth at the very least a spot
in the side deck, just in case.

Sigh, another card that could've been great if it
wasn't so restricted. This guy is severely limited
by the attribute and the level of the monster he
uses his effect on. If he could target high level
LIGHT monsters, he'd be very useful, but against
lower level LIGHT monsters, he's lackluster. He'd be
great against Lightsworn decks, but not a lot else.
If he wasn't so restrictive on his effect, he'd be
an alright splash card in Blackwing, Gravekeepers
(as long as Necrovalley is not in play), or Dark
World decks. As it is, he's another almost unusable
Silver rare.

Psycho
At least if the effect lets you down, his ATK
isn't too shabby.
First and foremost, you do not use Dark Blade in
your Main Deck; he is always in your Side Deck.
Even then, he is too quite too situational to
warrant a slot. His effect, whilst not
appalling, is not something you can really take
advantage of. If you have a Deck with D.D. Scout
Plane and intend to do a lot of banishing Darks,
Dark Blade can be a consideration, but he's not
spectacular, and you really might as well use
Penumbral Soldier Lady. 1800 ATK for a Dark
Warrior is almost unsurpassed, though.

Aesthetics: 4.5/5 If a retrained version of the
original Dark Blade isn't awesome enough for
you, you most definitely have issues. However, I
feel Evil World is a huge ripoff from Dark
World, and if they're not gonna put Captain Dark
Blade into Dark World, they better make a whole
freaking Evil World archetype.
