2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; change it to face-down Defense Position. If a face-up "Djinn" Xyz Monster you control would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from that monster instead.

Today we look the last of the Symphony Djinns,
Maestroke, The Symphony Djinn. Or as The Mighty
Pojo, referred to, "Music Man". Maestroke seems to
be the conductor and leader of the rest of the
musical Djinns. A Rank 4 Xyz, needing 2 level 4
monsters with 1800 ATK and 2300 DEF, good stats,
even better if you can find a way to switch them
around. Maestroke does a few things really well. It
can detach an Xyz material to target a monster your
opponent controls to make it go face down, so your
opponent's biggers monster are a lot easier to deal
with, especially if you're packing a Nobleman of
Crossout. Another thing Maestroke can do is
something i really like in a monster, self
preservation. If a face up Djinn monster you control
would be destroyed, detach a Xyz material from
Maestroke to save that Djinn monster. Those little
guys could use it. Maestroke is one of the better
musical Djinn monsters, as it can quite handy in
several ways, kinda like the swizz army knife of the
Djinns, as it can be used for both offense and
defense purposes.

A Djinn XYZ for today's card and one that's
fairly reasonable to bring out. While his stats
aren't the greatest, he makes up for it with very
nice, although limited, effects. He can turn strong
attackers into weak defenders if they have a low DEF
stat, or save any Djinn XYZ from any type of
destruction. He's really meant to share the field
with other Djnns, so his overall usability is a bit
low, but he still makes for a decent card that's not
too difficult to bring out.

Philosophical
Psycho
I keep spelling this guy's name as Maelstroke. I
dunno why, I just do...
Anyway, Mae sports a respectable 1800 ATK and a
rather sturdy 2300 DEF. 2300 doesn't defend a lot if
he were 2100, although 2300 with a boost from Gates
of Dark World does start walling some big things.
2100 (with a Gates boost) is also pretty good, and
can get pretty astounding from further boosts from
Muzurhythem or Temtempo, or also 2600 ATK from a
single Solidarity.
Now for his effect. Now, once per turn, during your
Main Phase, Mae can flip an opposing Attack Mode
monster facedown. It really is a shame he can't
target monsters already in Defence Mode. Even being
a Quick Effect would be useful, but otherwise, you
won't use the effect much outside of trying to block
a monster's effect (such as Utopia's or Stardust's)
or to put an attack target into a more vulnerable
state (such as Caius or Stardust).
His protection effect is not necessarily bad. It's
better than nothing. However, he takes off the Xyz
Material of the monster that's about to be
destroyed, which is a problem because for the other
Djinn Xyzs, I'd much rather conserve their
materials for THEIR own offensive purposes. Mae
could've been better if he used his own Xyz Material
as a Quick Effect so that no Djinn Xyzs can be
destroyed that turn. That might be a little broken,
but I would still like it if Mae could draw upon his
own Material to save at least one Djinn Xyz, or
perhaps extending his effect to ALL Xyzs.
A good wall yes, and can get some pretty scary
boosts off the other Djinns. I might splash him into
random decks, if only to make the most out of his
flipping effect. I'd use him in a Djinn Deck, but
the question arises to why not summon Queen Dragun,
another Rank 4 Djinn Xyz with 400 more ATK. But at
least Mae is a safer option lest Queen Dragun runs
into a Bottomless Trap Hole and whatnot. I've been
hearing and seeing things how Maestroke is a
powerful Extra Deck splash. You can take other
people's words for it, but, in terms of
splashability, I do agree that Maestroke is useful,
albeit very limited in what he can accomplish.
Niche Decks: Generic Fiend, Djinn, Control/Beatdown,
Stall, Dark World (helps with Dark World Lightning
especially), Gladiator Beast
Traditional: 2.5/5 (self-defense effect helps defend
against the likes of CED and Ring of Destruction,
and plus he's Dark himself)
Advanced: 2.75/5
Aesthetics: 4.8/5 Maestro is Italian for master,
professor, etc. Oh, and this may very well be the
most demonic-looking Djinn Xyz. That outfit is boss,
I love that blank expression, and having a cutlass
for a conducting baton!
