You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard. Once per turn: You can send 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand and 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, then target 1 card in either player's Graveyard; banish that target.

Welcome to Dragon week! Darkflare Dragon opens the week, quite the interesting Monster. This Dragon is Level 5, and has 2400 attack with 1200 defense, of the Dark attribute, but as opposed to tributing, but ala Chaos Envoys, can be Special Summoned by removing a Light and Dark Monster from your Graveyard from play..furthermore, you can send a Dragon from your Hand AND Deck to the Graveyard, to remove a card from either Graveyard from play. I don't like you have to give up two cards just to remove one, but it IS good that you aren't removing two to remove one. I like this Monster, obviously in Dragon Decks, easy enough to Special Summon, and the removal (second effect) is nice, if not a bit costly.

This week we will be talking about some of the main cards from the new Dragons Collide Structure Deck that was just released last week. As this structure deck relies on light and dark dragons, we are going to start off with Darkflare Dragon. Like the Chaos monsters, you need a light and a dark monster in the graveyard to special summon it. Once summoned, you can easily set up your graveyard and banished area by sending a light or dark monster from your hand and one from the deck to the graveyard and then banish ether one of your monsters or a card from your opponent’s graveyard.

There are a number of cards in this deck that benefit from being sent to the graveyard. Eclipse Wyvern and The White Stone of Legend, both get there effects right away. By sending Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and Red-Eyes Wyvern to the graveyard, you can bring out the Metal Dragon at the end of your turn. Besides Darkflare Dragon, there is Chaos Sorcerer and Lightpulsar Dragon that can use those light and dark monsters in your graveyard to be special summoned.

The nice thing about Darkflare Dragon and most of the monsters in the new structure deck is that they can be special or normal summoned in other ways, so using it in a Disaster or Hopeless Dragon Deck is certainly an option.

It seems I have been good to the all mighty POJO because he has us reviewing the newest cards from one of the best structure decks in some time, Dragons Collide. Also, Dragons are my favorite type. First off is my favorite monster card in the deck, Darkflare Dragon. A level 5, DARK/Dragon type, with 2400 ATK and 1200 DEF. Darkflare's effect: You can special summon this card from your hand by banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK type monster from your grave. Once per turn, you can send 1 Dragon type monster from your hand and your deck to the grave, then target 1 card in either player's graveyard and banish it. I cannot go on about how great this card is. You can put what dragons you want/need in the graveyard where Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon can work his magic. Or set up a special summon for Lightpulsar Dragon, Chaos Sorcerer or even Black Luster Soldier. This card works in tandem with Eclipse Wyvern as well. And at level 5 it's great to synchro summon with Delta Flyer, or even Xyz with Vice Dragon. A great card that adds speed to the powerful dragon type.

Dragons make it big in Chaos with the newest structure deck: Dragons Collide. We're reviewing the new cards from the deck this week and start of with one of the best dragons yet to hit the game (yes, I'm rather biased about these guys :) )

Darkflare gives one of the best graveyard fillers in the game desite being restricted to dragons. Dump one dragon in your hand to send any other dragon from the deck to the graveyard. You can set up cards to special summon another Darkflare, a Lightpulsar Dragon, or Black Luster Soldier, Envoy of the Beginning. You can also normal summon him for a single tribute, if you wish. You can also set up strong dragons to be special summoned from the graveyard, as well. This card works great in any dragon deck, as well as any deck that needs lots of dragon-type monsters in the graveyard.

All in all, one of the best dragons around.
