Eclipse Wyvern is the midweek card, and one that
obviously combos well in the Dragon Deck, not to
mention with other cards we look at this week.
Let's look at basics...Light is good, 1600 attack
is respectable, and Wyvern literally can pull of
essentially the equivalent of an eclipse. If sent
to the Graveyard (regardless of how) you can remove
a Light OR Dark (key word OR = awesomeness) Level 7
or higher Dragon-type Monster from your Deck. Then,
if Wyvern itself is banished (and it IS Light
remember, possibilities people), you add the Dragon
removed by this prior effect to your Hand.
Beautiful, just incredible, not a Special Summon,
but I think then we'd be border line broken, at
least for the Deck. Likely whatever you removed
can/will be Special Summoned anyway.

The next piece to the Chaos/Dragon puzzle is
Eclipse Wyvern. It is a light monster, so it helps
in summoning the cards we just reviewed this week,
Lightpulsar Dragon and Darkflare Dragon, and Chaos
monsters. The nice thing about Eclipse Wyvern is
that its effect activates whenever it goes to the
graveyard, so things like foolish, milling,
discarding, tributing, and being sent as Xyz
material all work.
The effect banish a level 7 or higher monster from
your deck gives you access to Dark Armed Dragon and
Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. You can use the
effect of Darkflare Dragon or special summon a Chaos
monster or one of the above monsters. This will get
you the monster you banished to set up your next
play of ether special summoning DAD or REDMD to
control and swarm the field and push for game.
The other nice thing about Eclipse Wyvern is that
the monster that you banished can be special
summoned with cards like Escape from the Dark
Dimension and Return from the Different Dimension.
You can even run Dimensional Alchemist is this deck
to grab one of your banished monsters as this deck
does a lot of banishing. Needless to say, Eclipse
Wyvern is an important piece to the puzzle that
cannot be left out. If Chaos Emperor Dragon-Envoy of
the End comes off the ban list, you will need to
take my ratings and make them all a 5.

Our look at the Dragon's Collide structure deck
rolls on with a look at Eclipse Wyvern. Wyvern is a
level 4 LIGHT/Dragon type with 1600 ATK and 1000
DEF. Wyvern's effect is If this card is sent to the
graveyard, Banish 1 level 7 or higher, LIGHT or DARK
Dragon type monster from your deck. If this card is
in your graveyard and is banished, you can add the
banished monster from this effect to your hand. This
card is excellent for setting up a few plays ahead.
There are a few Dragon monsters you can banish with
this effect, but the most popular choice will be Red
Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. Wyvern is great, as its
effect doesn't really where it has to come from as
long as it goes to the grave, so Foolish Burial,
Future Fusion and a few other ways will get you
Wyvern's effect. If you're using the new Dragons,
This card is a must.

One of the best search engines a Dragon deck
could ever hope for. Sadly, if the dragon you want
to search out is already in your hand or graveyard,
this guy won't do much, but when combined with
Darkflare Dragon and Dragon Ravine, this makes for
an amizing search combo that can grab you cards like
Blue-eyes White Dragon, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal
Dragon, Gandora the Dragon of Destruction, or Dark
Armed Dragon.
So far, the official rulings on combining EW with
Darkflare Dragon are unclear, but if you can use
EW's effect to search out a dragon to banish, then
remove EW from the graveyard as the last part of
DD's effect to add the removed dragon to your hand,
then it's a rather fast combo to make use of that
seems almost cruel.
If that's not the case, then I'd recommend using
Dragon Ravine first, then Darkflare Dragon or a
chaos summon to get the high-level dragon into your
hand, or use D.D.R to special summon the removed
dragon.
An amazing card that works well in any dragon
deck.
