Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster's Level is increased by 3, also it gains ATK and DEF equal to this card's ATK and DEF. While this card is equipped to a monster: You can send this Equip Card to the Graveyard to target 1 card on the field; destroy that target.

Inzektor week hmm? Well let's see how that
treats us...Inzektor Hornet opens the week. We
have a Level 3, Dark attributed, Insect-type Monster
(bet nobody saw that coming!) with 500 attack and
200 defense. Now, once per turn you can equip
an Inzektor Monster from your Hand or Graveyard to
this card. Adding the ability to play cards
(even in this manner) from the Graveyard is at least
a unique ability. When this card is equipped
to a Monster, it's Level is increased by 3, and it
gains attack and defense equal to this card.
Now while the attack (and defense) increase are
negligible, the increase of Level is interesting, if
only for things like XYZ and/or Synchro.
Furthermore, when equipped to a card, you can send
this card to the Graveyard to select and target a
card on the Field, and destroy. The second
effect there isn't bad, but there are easier ways to
go about that.

We start off Inzektor week with one of the key
monsters in the theme; Inzektor Hornet. This humble
little insect with the unimposing stats of 500 atk
and 200 def, can really pack a wallop and take down
the mightiest of beasts. In Yu-Gi-Oh, if you have
bad stats you probably have great effects. Hornet is
no exception.
The first few effects can be quite useful. You
can equip 1 Inzektor monster from your hand or
graveyard to this card. When this card is attached
to a monster, that monster gains all of its states
(Increases 3 levels, 500 more attack and 200 more
defense). It is the last effect that makes this card
really good, as when it is sent to the graveyard
while equipped, you can destroy any card on the
field. If you have Hornet attached to Inzektor
Centipede, you can detach it to destroy a card and
to search for another Inzektor. If you have Hornet
attached to an Inzektor Dragonfly, you can detach it
to special summon another Inzektor from your deck
and destroy 1 card on the field. We call that pluses
all day long.
Searching for Inzektor Hornet is easy. You can
get it to your hand with Sangon, Inzektor Centipede,
Gokipon, and Danipon. You can get it to the field
with Mystic Tomato, Inzektor Dragonfly, or Howling
Insect. You can also send it to the graveyard with
Foolish Burial, Armageddon Knight, and Dark Grepher
as it is a dark monster. In an Inzektor deck, this
card is essential. On a side note, running Debre
Dragon in an Inzektor deck may be a good option as
hornet has 500 attack and is a level 3 so you can
pull off Black Rose Dragon if the situation calls
for it.

It's Inzektor week. For those of you who didn't
read my Inzektor Axe - Zektahawk review, I'll
restate that the Inzektors are a weaker, yet much
more versatile version of the Dragunity archetype.
Pretty much any Inzektor can be equiped with or onto
any other Inzektor. The sad part is the low A/D
stats of most Inzektors, which makes support cards
very important, as well as the fact that the
Inzektor effects only work with other Inzektor
cards, negating any chance of splashing them into
other decks.
As for Hornet, he's one of the most useful, if
weakest, of the Inzektors. He, like almost all
Inzektors basically gives graveyard recursion of
other Inzektors as equip cards. As for Hornet
himself, he also grants the ability to destroy any
type of card controlled by any player. I'd recommend
running him in threes in an Inzektor deck, but
nowhere else.
