Inzektor Exa-Beetle, a Rank 6, Dark attributed, XYZ
Monster, with 1000 attack and defense, brings into
play why the first two cards of the week could be so
important, what with the Level increases and all.
When this card is XYZ Summoned, you can target a
card in the Graveyard, either Graveyard note, and
this card gains attack and defense equal to half the
Monster chosen when equipped. Also, once per
turn, you can discard an XYZ Material Monster from
this card to select two cards on the Field, (one
from each side) and sen them to the Graveyard.
Sending cards to the Graveyard is good, even in this
case where its one of your own, as this combos well
with most of the other effects of Inzektors.
The only real downfall is the low attack (base of
1000) and the fact it only gains HALF the attack of
a Monster equipped. For instance, a 2000
attack equip only gives Exa-Beetle 2000 total
attack. But if you can equip something
powerful enough, you might have a force to be
reckoned with.

Now that we have covered many of the main
Inzektor monsters and how they work together, we are
going to put them to work to make Inzektor Exa-Beetle.
Exa-Beetle has a Scrap Dragon like effect but only
better. Instead of destroying two cards, it sends
two face-up cards (one on each side of the field) to
the graveyard. That fits right into the theme of the
Inzektors. You send their Stardust Dragon or Xyz
monster to the graveyard and one of your attached
Inzektors and get the effect of your sent Inzektor
monster. If you do not have an attached Inzektor
monster, just use Exa-Beetle’s first effect to
attach one to it when you Xyz summon it.
Getting Inzektor Exa-Beetle to the field is fairly
easy for an Inzektor deck. Most Inzektor monsters
are level 3 and are increased by 3 levels when
attached with another of the level 3 monsters.
Inzektor Giga-Mantis is also a level 6 monster and
can be special summoned from the deck by Inzektor
Dragonfly. If you feel like running some Rykos and
Effect Veilers in you deck so you can run BLS, you
might as well add a Chaos Sorcerer so you have
another way to make a level 6.
Obviously, Inzektor Exa-Beetle can be summoned by
other deck types as well. Chaos Dragons, Laval’s,
Jurrac, Evols, and Dragunity decks are just a few of
the decks that can make level 6 monsters fairly
easy. I am not too crazy about the 1000 atk and def
that Exa-Beetle has, but this little defect can be
overcome with its first effect or with other
Inzektors. By attaching Inzektor Giga-Mantis to Exa-Beetle
from your hand, you can make Exa-Beetle’s original
attack 2400, then add in the 1200 attack boost via
Beetle’s effect and you have a 3600 attack monster.
When this card is Xyz Summoned:
You can target 1 monster in either player's
Graveyard; equip that target to this card. This card
gains ATK and DEF equal to half the original ATK and
DEF of the monster equipped by this effect. Once per
turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card
to target 1 face-up card on each side of the field;
send those targets to the Graveyard.
Today we are reviewing our
first Rank 6 XYZ and it has some unique uses outside
of an Inzektor deck. In a Dragon deck you can equip
Light Pulsar Dragon or Light and Darkness Dragon.
When they are sent from the field to graveyard
(doesn’t specify whether as a monster or spell/trap)
and have their effects activate. This card can also
be used in various other decks like Destiny Hero
because of D-HERO Malicious and D-HERO Dasher,
Rekindling decks, Zombie Decks, and of course in the
intended Inzektor deck.
The best thing to do with this
card is retrieve your opponent’s monsters that they
were planning to revive like treeborn frog, stardust
dragon, etc. Over all, this card has some unique
uses, but it’s rank is kind of awkward to summon.

Well, this guys is interesting, but far too
restrictive. Even with equiped Inzektors on the
field, that's a lot of effort to get out a guy who
might not have very good targets to draw on for his
equip effect. He certainly won't hit the field until
the late game and by then, his effect might not be
enough to win you the duel. Having to lose one of
your cards as well is what really hurts the
usefulness of his second effect as the card you'll
have to lose might be a critical one. On top of
everything else, he's a Secret Rare, meaning he'll
be rediculously expensive and hard to get. My advice
is to save your money.
Too hard to get out, too weak and a rather sharp
cost for might end up being a situational effect.
