Now we get to a solid Gusto card. Musto, Oracle of
Gusto, is one of the few Gusto Monsters to have a
respectable attack score for a Monster of its Level.
This is a Wind, Level 4, Psychic Monster, with 1800
attack and 900 defense. Once per turn, you can
target (note target) a Gusto Monster in your
Graveyard, and then another face-up Monster on the
Field. The Gusto Monster is shuffled back into your
Deck, and IF successful, the second Monster you
target, its effect(s) are negated until the End
Phase. That's fun, IF your opponent has an answer
to that, they can stop you, or simply allow you to
attempt to destroy the Monster. I mean, being able
to prevent an effect(s) is a great thing, if even
only for a short time. This is the easiest Gusto to
use thus far, this week, by far.

The next Gusto monster we will look at is Musto,
Oracle of Gusto. One thing I would like to point out
is that the Gusto monsters are all Wind monsters so
you can use them with Quill Pen of Gulldos. They
should have called it Quill Pen of Gustos because it
works perfectly with Gustos monsters. It puts two of
your Wind monsters back into your deck and bounces
one of your opponent’s monsters back to their hand.
Quill Pen is a great card in this format with all of
the Xyz summoning being conducted now days.
Musto, Oracle of Gusto is actually not a bad card.
You can use it to negate the effect of your
opponent’s Galaxy-Eyes, Cataster, Utopia, Leviathan
Dragon, Tragedia, Stardust, King Tiger Wanghu,
Thunder King, Shi En, Vanity’s Fiend, and the list
goes on. Then Emergency Call or Call of the Haunted
your tuner, Synchro summon and attack those mean old
monsters.
With 1800 attack, Musto has some decent stats. You
could use a Forbidden Lance to help it stay on the
field or even Safe Zone to keep it on the field to
use its effect for several turns. I really like this
card in a Psychic/Gusto deck. I still do not see
Gusto type decks being top tier so my rating will
reflect that.

This card is very interesting,
the “Effect Veiler” of Gustos. The reason why I say like Effect Veiler is
because the monste’rs effect is negated for the turn
in any location it may end up in. For example, if
the opponent summons a Stardust Dragon or E-HERO
Absolute Zero and you target it with Effect Veiler,
the opposing monster cannot resolve its effect if it
attacks into a Mirror Force. Other cards that can be
devastated by this card are Legendary Six Samurai-
Shi En, Ally of Justice Catastor, E-Hero The
Shining, Naturia Beast, Naturia Barkion, etc.
In short, this card has a great
negation effect, but it is very week against cards
like D.D. Crow, Transmigration Prophecy, and other
similar cards that target the graveyard. Also,
because of its typing, Psychic monsters have decent
support.

This is the highest-ATK Level 4
Gusto, making him one of their strongest attackers.
(In fact, not counting Synchros and Xyzs, he is the
third strongest Gusto...which is rather depressing.)
He allows you to recycle a
Gusto from your Graveyard into your deck, shouldn't
be too debilitating a cost (technically, it's not
even a cost at all). This is important to upkeep the
Gusto circle of life of using Egul to summon Winda
to summon Gulldo and by using Gulldo you can go
back-and-forth between Winda or just summon Egul
again... Anyway, my point is they summon straight
out of the deck and Musto lets you keep on doing
that. Alternatively, Musto can return a Synchro or
Xyz back into your Extra Deck, which takes little
fuss. You should not have problems not being able to
fulfill the first part of Musto's effect.
Oh yeah, and Musto can negate
the effect of any faceup monster. This only has
slightly less utility than Forbidden Chalice, but at
least Musto recycles your Gustos and has a sturdy
1800 ATK to work with. Anyway, like Chalice, his
effect lets him crush Marshmallon. Alternatively, he
can weaken Wind-Up Zenmaines or Stardust Dragon to
allow other cards to trump them. More importantly,
he can remove Utopia's effect to make the Daigusto
Sphreez OTK possible. Furthermore, he can also
target your own monsters, but this doesn't have much
utility. I suppose if there are no other monsters on
the field, he can target himself just for the sake
of returning a Gusto from the Grave to deck.
Finally, being a Psychic
monster, it is plausible for Gustos to splash many
Psychic support cards (such as Mind Over Matter,
Psychic Overload, Hyper Psychic Gunner) without
being slowed down.

ever a FTK combo that involves returning a Gusto
