Normal Monster? There's not much to say here. We
have another Normal Monster with a ridiculously sick
picture, and a Special Edition Promo to boot! Noble
Knight Artorigus is a Level 4, Light attributed,
Warrior (all good things, work well obviously with
Chaos) who has 1800 attack and defense. Works well
in Chaos, Warrior, even a Beatdown (or a Normal
Deck, which do exist). There seems to be quite a
bit of lore behind this Noble Knight, I'd be
interested in reading it.

We start this week off with the promo card for
Galactic Overlord, Noble Knight Artorigus. There is
not much to say about this card as it relates to how
it affects the game. It has pretty decent stats for
a normal monster with 1800 defense and attack. It is
also a light warrior so it can be used in Warrior
decks and with Honest. You could also use it with
Rescue Rabbit to Xyz summon monsters like Utopia and
Blade Armor Ninja.
The real value of Noble Knight is in the artwork and
flavor. The first thing we notice is that the
picture is of a knight pulling a sward out of a
rock. This is because the name Artorigus means
Arthur – aka King Arthur. The text is written as a
poem and is the only Normal Monster to have its text
written this way. It is also one of the only cards
to have its artwork done by someone other than a
Japanese artist.
If you are a collector, you will want this card in
your collection. If not, then forget you even read
this article as you will probably never see this
card being played.

A new week means new cards....that aren't
Heiratic cards. First out the gate is Noble Knight
Artorigus. A Level 4, Normal, Light/Warrior type
with the pretty bold stats of 1800 for both ATK and
DEF. His flavor text pretty much says how he stole
Excaliber from King Arthur, I believe. Anywho,
Artorigus is a Normal monster, so he gets all access
to their crop of goodies such as Justi-Break and
Birthright. He's a Warrior-Type, so Reinforcements
of the Army, Warrior returning Alive, and all that
other countless Warrior-related stuff. Light
attribute, well, that equals Honest. But He's useful
when paired with Rescue Rabbit, you can get out two
copies to Xyz a Rank 4 monster of your choosing.
Overall, not the best Normal monster, but he has a
few uses.

Hey Duelists, Coming to you with today's COTD is

Today we will be discussing Noble Knight Artorigus,
a Light Attribute Level 4 Normal Warrior-type
Monster. with 1800/1800 attack and defensive points.
What can we really say about this card? Well, not
realy much of anything honestly. Key points however
are as follows, The art on the card is quite
impressive. Honestly, he looks like King Arthur
pulling forth Excalibur. Also, the flavor text on
the card is by far the best I've seen on a card in a
while. Now with that being said, do we see the card
being played? Not currently but who knows it might
be useful for the Heroic Champions when they emerge
later this year. A possible Rescue rabbit hybrid?
Maybe. Its a solid Blade Armor Ninja or HC
Excalibur.

I remember Dark Paladin and Argouru were doing the
last card for 2011: Sabersaurus. They both gave it
relatively low scores and had zero mention for its
Tour Guide and Evolzar combo, the only reason we
were really covering Sabersaurus anyway.
1800 is the highest ATK for any Normal Warrior, and
Arthur here also has the highest DEF of them all:
1800. This makes Arthur the strongest Warrior you
can summon with Rescue Rabbit.
But what is the point of all this? Is there any Rank
4 Xyz that specifically requires Warriors for its
Xyz Material? Well...yes, yes there is, and I
believe Arthur was designed specifically to work
with Rabbit to bring him out*. He is, however, not
as significant as the Evolzars, and that, in turn,
significantly hampers Arthur's own score as a very
bourgeois monster.
*That monster is Heroic Champion Excalibur. The
Heroics are an archetype of Earth Warrior monsters,
except for the Xyz Excalibur, which is Light. Quite
admittedly, however, Blade Armour Ninja is better
than Excalibur.
Traditional: 1/5
Advanced: 1.2/5 (the only applicable use I can think
for him is Normal Warriors with Dark Blade, if only
for his Attribute to summon Black Luster Soldier;
otherwise he can be used with a very situational
Rescue Rabbit)
Aesthetics: Anyone that comes with his own storyline
instantly maxes out in coolness value. He's almost
like anime girls, my go-to example being Dark
Magician Girl. They would be really awkward if you'd
meet them in real life, or even someone LIKE them,
but in concept...off-the-charts cool. He should've
been part of the Heroic archetype though, or at
least get more Noble Knight support.
Philosophy Corner: I do believe life is a game, but
that doesn't always mean you have to play by the
rules.
