Fabled Grimro is the second most important monster in a Fabled deck. The ability to search out any Fabled monster in your deck is just amazing. You can use Grimro with the boss monster of Fables, Fabled Raven to get an effect or Synchro that is needed. Search for The Fabled Ganashia to get a level 6 Synchro, The Fabled Catsith to destroy a face-up card on the field, Fabled Lurrie to get a level 4 Synchro monster, or Fabled Krus for a level 4-7 Synchro monster.
 
Unlike Dark World decks, Fabled decks never found their nitch in Yu-Gi-Oh. If they ever get enough support to make a come back, Fabled Grimro will be a key card in the deck.

Now, today we delve a bit deeper into Konami's Haunted Mine Gold Series and look at Fabled Grimo. Grimo is a definite must for the Fabled deck. As I was doing research for this card, I see this card is capable of a lot of shenanigans, when you control other Fabled monsters of course. Discard Grimo to get Lurrie while Valkyus is on the field nets you a free draw when you use Valkyus' effect. Grimo gets a lot of things moving for the Fabled archtype and if you run them, this card better be in your deck.

Fabled Grimro

Light/ Fiend/ Lv 4/ 1700 ATK/ 1000 DEF

If you control a face-up "Fabled" monster: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; add 1 "Fabled" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Fabled Grimro".

In this deck, it is almost required that you run three of this card. There can and more than likely will be situations in which you draw or open up with this card and wish it was something else. Well, because of its effect, you can ditch it for something else like a Chowa or Kushano. This deck is packed with discarding cards like Dark World Dealing, Monster Reincarnation, The Tricky, etc. and the searching capabilities this card can provide is very versatile and very important to the deck’s explosiveness.

Pros: Good Type/Attribute, Honest-able, and can get the Fabled monster you need.

Cons: Searching requirements. (Not so much of a bad con, but one of the better ones you can get.)

Wow, a Level 4 monster with 1700 ATK. You sure don't see that around much anymore.
Light Fiend + good looks + falcon design = hella awesome (pun intended). Ok, but now for the actual review, and, again, simple effect means there's little to say.
 
The condition to have a Fabled monster already on your field can be often annoying, but it rarely matters, given the Fableds' swarming gameplay. Then, she's practically a Spell Card, granting you the search of any Fabled monster you want. Her effect isn't even limited to being once per turn. This automatically means you should run no less than two copies in a dedicated Fabled Deck. And because she's really a monster, not a Spell, you can do a lot of funky things with her once she's in the Graveyard, such as Monster Reincarnation, Pot of Avarice, Black Luster Soldier, etc. (all of which, BTW, should be included in your typical Fabled Deck).
 
For those of you who don't know, half the Fabled monsters have effects that discard from your hand as a cost, and the other half have effects that activate if they get discarded (this makes Fabled similar to Infernities for purposefully having bad hand management). Although the Fabled is a rather plentiful archetype, most of them are unimportant cards. Usually you already summoned a monster to fulfill her activation requirements, but if you already have, of course you're allowed to summon the monster you just retrieved. Now, ideally the Fabled you already got on your field is the kind that can discard straight from your hand (such as Valkyrus). Usually you want to nab the other version of Fabled with Grimro's effect (such as Cerburrel); using Valkyrus' effect, you can discard Cerburrel (who then Special Summons itself) and draw a card. Then, you use another Grimro, perhaps, to get Krus. Find a way to discard Krus, which by her own effect can summon Grimro to your field.

Aesthetics: 4/5 I got no idea what she's supposed to represent, but she's one wicked looking lady ♥ She's pretty yet demonic-looking all at once. The "Fabled" is a Light Fiend archetype and "The Fabled" are Light Beasts that are seemingly captured by the "Fabled." However, there are no cards that specifically support "The Fabled," so aside from Type, there is no difference. It is implied that the "Fabled" are the Fallen Angels you hear about in Christianity, so you might think, "Uh, then wouldn't it be better for them to be Dark Fairies?" Well, yeah, but the English department messes stuff up. Originally, the archetypes are called "Demonic Roaring God" and "Demonic Roaring God Beast." As we all know, the TCG translates "Demon" to "Fiend" and the "Fairy" Type is supposed to represent Angels, which the "Fabled" are no longer. And calling them "fables" is sorta...insulting. But yeah, Grimro is almost cool enough (and staple enough) to be the epitome of the whole archetype.
