You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Hieratic" monster. Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 "Hieratic" monster, except this card, from your hand or your side of the field, to target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy that target. When this card is Tributed: Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, and make its ATK and DEF 0.

Hieratic Dragon of Nebthet, who continues to be a
Level 5, Light attributed Dragon, this time with
2000 attack and 1400 defense, is far superior to
yesterdays card, who albeit wasn't terrible. You
can Special Summon this Dragon unlike yesterday,
although you still have to tribute to do so. Once
per turn, you can tribute a Hieratic, other than
itself, to target and destroy one Monster on your
opponent's Field. When this card is tributed,
playing into earlier cards this week, you then gain
the standard Hieratic ability of Special Summon a
Nomral Dragon Monster from your Hand, Deck, or
Graveyard and making its attack and defense 0. I
like this card better than yesterday, but honestly
the effects are kind of trade offs. The destruction
is nice, and probably more useful in a pinch than
Level Manipulation.

The next Hieratic monster we will be looking at
is Hieratic Dragon of Nebthet. This monster is not
something you want to draw when you do not have a
Hieratic Dragon to tribute, so you will not want to
play very many of them in your deck. Most decks that
I have seen will play one of this card as a tech
card to get rid of big or troublesome monsters.
Hieratic Seal of Convocation makes searching for
Nebthet easy.
The strategy with this card is simple. Special
summon or normal summon a Hieratic monster, then
special summon Hieratic Dragon of Nebthet and get a
level 5 normal dragon monster or a Hieratic Seal
monster. You can then tribute it or a Hieratic
monster from your hand to destroy one of your
opponent’s monsters or simply Xyz into a Rank 5
monster. It you use its effect to destroy and get
the tribute effect from a Hieratic monster from your
hand, you could then get another normal monster to
Xyz summon with. Preferably, you would get two
level 6 normal monsters and the Xyz into Hieratic
Dragon King of Atum and use its effect to special
summon a level 5 dragon to then Xyz summon into a
rank 5 giving you two powerful Xyz monsters on the
field.
There are tons of things you can do with Hieratic
monsters. Their main objective is to swarm the field
with big powerful monsters. Once we have reviewed
all of the Hieratic monsters, I’ll show you how to
use them to OTK your opponent. For now, Hieratic
Dragon of Nebthet is a good addition to a Hieratic
deck, but not a must.

Nebthet is deffinately a crucial card for any HD
deck as you can nuke any monster your opponent
controls regardless of it's position, even if
face-down. There's few cards in the game that target
fd monsters, so this is a major boon to the effect.
Also, you can tribute from your hand as well as your
side of the field, making his effect even more
useful. Also, he can be Special Summoned, getting
you get off another HD's effect of replacing itself
by summoning them first, then tributing them for
this guy, resulting in more field presence, which is
always a good thing. Definately worth running in 3s
in an HD deck.

Arguably, monster
destruction is more important than Trap/Spell
destruction. Hieratics put Gaia Charger over their
Atums to gain a piercing ability, although this
won't block the effects of Snowman Eater or Ryko. My
Body as a Shield and Forbidden Lance, however, can
be used to protect against any Mirror Force or
Dimensional Prison. Regardless, Hieratics run a LOT
of monsters that Su, Nebthet, or Sun Dragon Overlord
can use as ammo, summoning a new Normal Dragon each
time. Anyway, Su is mainly popular for being Level
6, making it easier to Xyz for Hieratic Dragon King
of Atum; Nebthet does not have that privilege.
Otherwise, Nebthet is identical to Su, except that
Nebthet targets monsters.
Although not as dangerous as Su, Nebthet is still a
potent weapon in the Hieratic arsenal. Firstly,
Nebthet is similar to Su in that they don't waste
your Normal Summon. Here's an example:
Tefnuit is basically Hieratic Cyber Dragon. Special
summon that dude, immediately Tribute it to summon
Nebthet and start blowing stuff up on a scale almost
rivaling that of Inzektors. You can then Normal
Summon Eset, then immediately Tributing Eset for
either Su or another Nebthet and continue destroying
stuff. Don't forget that you can even Tribute a
Nebthet to play ANOTHER Nebthet, or even Tribute
Nebthet for a Su (which is why Nebthet's Level
5-ness doesn't always matter*). And of course, all
of this Tributing means you get to swarm with a
BUNCH of Normal Dragons for Synchro or Xyz.
*Of course, you can always use Eset to alter
Nebthet's Level or just go for Rank 5. Regardless,
in combination with Su's backrow destruction, you
should learn to respect the extent of Nebthet's
monster-slaughtering powers, being able to rid
Hieratic opposition in the form of an early Ryko,
late-game Black Luster Soldier, or just for the sake
of whittling down a Zenmaines'/Gantetsu's defences.

Aesthetics: 2.5/5 As you can see from my rant
yesterday, I am disappointed the Hieratics for Isis
and Nephthys having similar artworks, even if they
are sisters. Since Nephthys is the goddess of
mourning, I suppose it is kinda appropriate for
Nebthet to destroy monsters (and I guess that's why
Nebthet has the moon in the background, signifying
death, while Eset has the sun to represent Isis'
representation of life...and Level Stars). Hieratic
Su is the one that destroys Traps/Spells; they
designed it like that as Shu is the god of wind, but
it just seems so out of place that
his granddaughter destroys monsters. Effectwise,
Nebthet is Su's counterpart, but culturalwise,
Nebthet is Isis' counterpart, and I find that
confusing (or maybe I'm just making it confusing). I
think it is decent to make Nebthet Level 5, though,
compared to Su's Level 6.
