Creeping Darkness is certainly an interesting little Magic card.   By removing two Dark Monsters from your Graveyard from play, you can add a Level 4 Dark Monster from your Deck to your Hand.  Let's look at that, technically that's a -2, the card itself plus the two removed Monsters, just to add ONE to your Hand.  Although removing Monsters isn't a bad thing usually, and retrieving them, especially Dark ones, is even easier, depending on what Monster you choose you can make an advantage out of this fairly simply.  This card is hardly broken, and I'd appreciate if it were add a Level 4 or lower Dark Monster, but still, this card can be useful enough I think.

Dark decks get a boost from today’s card. Creeping Darkness does two really good things for dark monsters. First, it banishes dark monsters from the graveyard. That is perfect for use with Escape from a Dark Dimension or Return from a Different Dimension. It is also helps to regulate the number of dark monsters in your graveyard for use with Dark Armed Dragon.

Second, it lets us search for a level 4 monster from our deck. It is a ROTA for dark monsters that you can play in threes. If you are playing a TeleDad type deck, you are searching for cards like Dark Grepher, Summoner Monk, Destiny Hero-Diamond Dude, and maybe even Doomcaliber Knight.

There are a number of dark decks in play today like Blackwings that can make use of this card, but the only deck of any relevance that I know of is Dark World. When used with yesterday’s card, Trancer Archfiend, Creeping Darkness works like a charm. There are dark themes coming out in the future so keep this card in your collection.

Today, we look at Creeping Darkness. A Normal spell card. It says: Banish 2 DARK monsters from your graveyard; Add 1 level 4 DARK monster from your deck to your hand. A decent card for the DARK decks running around out there, but there are downsides to this. 2 DARKS in the grave shouldn't be a problem, and banishing them both for a level 4, and a level 4 only DARK monster. Your best bet is Blackwings and maybe....maybe, Gravekeepers.  It also helps out Necroface a bit. But this and Dark Armed Dragon may not get along as you want those dark in the grave to use for his summoning conditions/effect later. An ok card for a great theme, but you have a lot more cards that do better things. If you're gonna try this card, I suggest casual first. Give it a good test run.

Creeping Darkness
Normal Spell
"Banish 2 DARK monsters from your Graveyard; add 1 Level 4 DARK monster from your Deck to your hand."

This card is great for searching out cards from any DARK deck. Not the best for Chaos or Dark Armed Dragon, obviously, but great for decks like Dark World, Blackwings, Inzektors or Gravekeepers, where you don't have to have monsters in the Graveyard. All-in-all, a great card despite the heavy cost for it's use.

This is the only one of week's cards I have not heard of before, and I am rather surprised.

A semi-splashable card, this card will literally net any Level 4 Dark from your Deck for a fairly negligible cost. I'm sure many other cards benefit from the banishment as well, such as Cyber Ouroboros, Necroface, perhaps the new Dragon strategy of throwing monsters into the Different Dimension... And hey, it works with Trace Archfiend in so many ways! Another notable target is Summoner Monk, which will very quickly transition into a Rank 4 Xyz or Level 8 Synchro.

I wouldn't run more than two, though. It is also limited by the fact it searches for strictly Level 4, and the lower-Level monsters have slowly grown more prominent in the Dueling meta.

Traditional: 2/5
Advanced: 3/5 (Use it if you think if can help you. It's a decent splash if you have a healthy amount of Darks, but beware that the cost doesn't hurt you too much.)
Aesthetics: 3/5 And thus, the Corrosive Contagion Infestation turned Gishki Noellia into Evigishki Psychelone.
