Wow...we haven't looked at a Synchro Monster in a
LONG time...Driven Daredevil, a Level 7,
Warrior-type, Earth attributed, Synchro Monster, who
is Synchro Summoned with a Warrior-type Tuner, and
one or more non-Tuner type Monsters. Driven
Daredevil only has 2400 attack and 2100 defense
(both low for a Level 7 Monster) but this is one of
those times where I assume that the effect(s)
warrants an extra Level. Anyway, while a Warrior
Deck (or most Decks even) could get along without
this Monster, Six Samurai could make sweet love to
this card. We have a Monster that cannot be
destroyed by Battle with a Monster with a higher
attack (although you still take Damage when
applicable). Speaking of Damage, after calculation,
if attacked by a Monster with a higher attack,
destroy the opponent's Monster it Battled. I
actually like this despite XYZ running rampant. But
it might not have much place in a typical tournament
Deck (again, minus Six Samurai)

We finish off the week with a Synchro (old
school) monster. I say old school because it is all
about the Xyz monsters these days. Driven Daredevil
in only good with Warriors, so you will not see it
in many decks. X-Sabers and Six Samurai are about
the only decks that can make good use of this card.
Driven Daredevil is not a bad card. It has 2400
attack which is good for a level 7 monster with a
decent effect. Not being destroyed by battle when
attacked will protect it from being attacked.
Unfortunately, it does not get this effect when it
attacks and it can still be bounced or destroyed. I
guess if you have a stall deck you can play Safe
Zone with it so you can be really annoying to your
opponent. Other than that, if you have room for
another level 7 Synchro monster in your extra deck,
then you might as well play this deck if you are
playing Warriors.

Well, we end the week on what feels like a low
note.
DD has poor ATK for a Lv. 7 monster and one HUGE
weakness: His effect only works if the opponent is
the one who attacks. He'd be much more useful if he
could get his effect when attacking, but since he
has to be attacked by the opponent, that severely
limits his usefulness. No one in their right mind
would want to attack him unless they can win the
duel that turn. He's sure to be Smashing Grounded or
such, what with his high DEF stat.
All-in-all, a rather lackluster card.

This card is a Synchro monster, white like a
grandma's hair. That's how you know it's old. More
specifically, Order of Chaos old (actually only four
months ago, one of the latest Synchros to have been
released).
Its effect, in a nutshell, makes it indestructible
by battle. You could go into complications and force
the destruction of your opponent's monster with a
card that forces Daredevil to be attacked, but
that's really, really complicated. And if you don't
do that, well, Daredevil can't actually use his
effect off his own attack, which makes him quite
very much like Spirit Reaper – just good for
defending, and you generally don't want that for a
2400 beatstick.
So yeah, simple effect, ATK isn't bad considering
the effect (gets killed by other 2400 attackers, but
hey at least you'll take the other guy out too
unless it's Exploder Dragonwing), but since it's a
Synchro, Level is especially important. The most
common Level 7 Synchros splashed in an average Deck
includes Black Rose Dragon, Ancient Fairy Dragon,
Scrap Archfiend, and sometimes Blackwing Armor
Master (who has better stats, effect, and arguably
easier summoning requirements).
I have a Dark Scorpion Deck. I ran Daredevil for a
considerable amount of time, but when Xyzs came out,
I found myself crunched for space (currently the
other Level 7 Synchros in there are Armor Master,
Black Rose, X-Saber Urbellum, Ancient Fairy in the
Side).
Obviously, Daredevil will require an ample amount of
Warriors for it to be used. Personally, it was a
strong throw-up between Urbellum and Daredevil
(Daredevil's summoning requirements were negligible
for me, but that was before I removed Junk Synchron).
In the end, due to how my Deck was structured, I
could use Urbellum's discard power over Daredevil's
self-protection.
If it is possible for your Main Deck to bring this
out reliably, such as the case of Six Samurais,
Daredevil is not a bad option to consider. Shi-En
can be your main Level 5 Synchro, Brionac or Gaia
being available if need be. Level 8 can go to
Crimson Blader or Colossal Fighter, and if you're in
a position to make 7, Daredevil will be there. Most
Level 7 Synchros have summoning requirements or have
theme-specific effects. Otherwise, splash in Gale
the Whirlwind and try Armor Master instead.

We are ending this week with a *GASP* Synchro
monster! Driven Daredevil is built just for Warriors
in mind. Needing a Warrior type tuner and 1 or more
Warrior type non tuners. His effect is an
interesting one. It can't be destroyed by battle
with a monster with a larger ATK, and if it does,
you still take damage but you destroy the monster it
battled with. The only way to get rid of DDD is to
either bump heads with another 2400 ATK monster or
use various card effects. Self preservation is a
good thing and DDD can get rid of a lot of bigger
monster problems, if you are willing to pay the
price in precious LPs.
