Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card. If an Equip Card(s) is sent to your Graveyard while equipped to this card (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon 1 "Inzektor" monster from your Deck, except "Inzektor Dragonfly". While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster's Level is increased by 3.

Inzektors definitely took the brunt of the hits on
the Ban List, and Inzektor Dragonfly found itself
also to be Restricted this time around. Inzektor
Dragonfly does a lot of things very well for an
Inzektor player. He increases the Level of a
Monster by 3, making Synchro Summoning and high
Level XYZ Summoning that much easier. He very
easily can let you Special Summon another Inzektor
Monster (aside from himself) when an Equip card that
is equipped to itself is sent to the Graveyard.
Also obviously a good thing, and it adds speed to
an all ready fast Deck type. His 1000 attack isn't
anything great, but his 1800 defense is solid, and
he's Chaos food, being Dark. Only having one really
helps to balance out how crazy fast the Deck is.

The dreaded Inzektor archetype was hit hard,
mostly by the limitation to its power card Inzektor
Hornet and the card we are reviewing today; Inzektor
Dragonfly. Inzektor Dragonfly was the catalyst for
exploding monsters onto the field. The concept for
this was easy. Summon Dragonfly and use its effect
to attached Hornet from the hand or graveyard. Then
use Hornet’s effect to destroy one of your
opponent’s cards and use Dragonfly’s effect to
special summon another Inzektor from your deck
(preferably Inzektor Centipede) thereby gaining a
plus two advantage. Card advantage wins games folks,
but the advantage does not stop there as you can use
the special summoned Inzektor to attach the same
Hornet and use Hornet’s effect again for another
plus two advantage.
The plusses just keep coming with Inzektors as once
you summon Dragonfly and attach Hornet, you can also
attach Inzektor Giga-Mantis from you hand and then
use Hornet to destroy Mantis. By using our now
limited Dragonfly’s effect twice, we can now special
summon twp Inzektors from the deck and one from the
graveyard with Giga-Mantis’s effect. Then by using
the three new monsters along with Hornet, you can
blow up your opponent’s field while loading your
field and hand with monsters. Imagine what you could
do with three Dragonfly’s?
Inzektor decks made Mirror Force and any card that
relied on attacking obsolete. Maybe now with
Inzektors slowed down and having Mirror Force at
three, we will be seeing more defensive minded
decks. At least that is apparently the plan.

Today's card was knocked down to 1 on this recent
Forbidden/Limited list change. Inzektor Dragonfly is
a key player in the Inzektor playstyle. You can
equip an Inzektor monster from your hand or
graveyard to this card, then if the card equipped to
Dragonfly is sent to the grave you can special
summon 1 Inzektor monster from deck, except another
copy of Dragonfly. Overall, this card was all over
the place when it was at 3, and was one of the
workhorses of the deck. Not surprised it got knocked
down to 1. Sorry for the short review, but im a bit
under the weather right now.
