You can Set this card from your hand to your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Spell Card. During the End Phase of the turn this Set card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone was destroyed by an opponent's card effect and sent to the Graveyard: Target 1 card your opponent controls (if possible); Special Summon this card from the Graveyard, and if you do, destroy that target (if any).

The best card out of Return of the Duelist. PERIOD.
Although not #1 on the list, this is the most
splashable card in the set, but that is only part of
what makes it the best. Silver Sentinel, while not
all that strong, being a Level 4 Warrior with only
1500 attack and 1300 defense (also an Earth
Monster), but his effect is what makes him such a
gem. Silver Sentinel is everything Toy Magician
wants to be. Toy Magician is marginally stronger at
1600 attack, and has the benefit of being Light
(although I'd certainly play Toy Magician in
Spellcaster). Silver Sentinel can be placed face
down in your Magic and Trap card zone. During the
End Phase this Set card (in said Magic or Trap zone)
is destroyed by an opponent's card effect and sent
to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon Silver
Sentinel. Also, you can target and destroy a card
your opponent controls. Now, it's certainly worth
noting, for one, that this is a compulsory effect,
and that you do NOT have to have a card on the
opponent's Field to target in order to Special
Summon Silver Sentinel. The Special Summon and
destruction and said to happen simultaneously.

Silver Sentinel has one of those cool names like
Silver Surfer. Silver Sentinel also reminds me of
one of those cards that we thought might be good
when it came out but as it turned out was not so
good – Toy Magician. Sentinel works much the same
way as Toy Magician in that you can set it in your
spell and trap zone and when it is destroyed by your
opponent’s card effect, it has a mandatory special
summon effect. Silver Sentinel is the upgraded
version as it can destroy any card your opponent
controls.
So now we have to ask ourselves, is the destruction
effect enough to make Silver Sentinel playable? Well
the first issue we have is that it must be destroyed
by your opponent’s card effect while it sits
uselessly in your spell and trap zone. Fortunately,
our opponents can play 3 MST’s along with Heavy
Storm, turning Silver Sentinel into a plus 2 for us.
It is also a nifty card to use against Lightswarm
decks with Celestia and Judgment Dragon and against
Dark Armed Dragon.
Now the question is: what deck do we play it in?
Probably the best deck that I can think of is in an
Elemental HERO/Bubbleman build as Silver Sentinel is
a level 4 Warrior. You can search for it with
Reinforcement of the Army, set it as a spell or trap
to be destroyed, or summon it, and then special
summon Bubbleman to Xyz summon Blade Armor Ninja or
Heroic Champion – Excalibur. Silver Sentinel has
great symmetry with Bubbleman as it is a card that
can always be set from your hand, thus clearing the
way to special summon Bubbleman.
As cool as Silver Sentinel sounds, I am not
convinced that a card that has to be destroyed by
your opponent to be useful and has to sit dormant in
your spell and trap zone can garnish a spot in a
deck. For now, the jury is still out.

Silver Sentinel
A better toy magician eh? I'll take it! I like these
sort of cards, and hope more are made in the future.
Put this in your s/t zone, let your opponent pop it,
then summon this while killing a card of theirs? In
no way is this card meta changing, but these are the
sprt of cards that should be in sets, not completely
trash, and could serve a purpose in the future

Sneaking in at #3 is Silver Sentinel. A level 4
EARTH/Warrior with 1500 ATK and 1300 DEF. I like
this card because for a long time, Toy Magician was
the only monster that can do what it did. And I like
Toy Magician.
You can set this card from your hand to your
Spell/Trap zone as a Spell card. During the End
Phase of the turn this set card in your Spell/Trap
card zone is destroyed and sent to the graveyard by
your opponent's card effect. Target 1 card your
opponent controls (if possible) special summon this
card and destroy that target (If any).
This card is good at what it does well, catching
your opponent off guard and making them waste
a resource thinking it's something else. The only
thing I kinda don't like about this card is it comes
in at the end phase. There is a possibility that it
may get removed while in the graveyard by something
like D.D. Crow or something along those lines. Or it
will give your opponent time to prepare for Sentinel
and/or whatever else you may have planned. It's a
really good card if you can pull it off, and I like
to think you can most of the time.
