Paladin

Welcome to Hidden Arsenal 7 week! In this set we received a great deal of support for Fire Monsters, many new Gem Knights, as well as Constellar and Evilswarm Monsters. Constellar Pleiades opens the week. A Rank 5, Light attributed, Warrior type XYZ Monster, who is XYZ Summoned with two Level 5 Monsters, specifically of the Light attribute. This Monster has 2500 attack and 1500 defense.

This is one XYZ Monster you could certainly play outside of a Constellar Deck, but you might need a fairly specific, if not complete, Light build, given the Light requirement in the XYZ Summon. Light and Warrior are excellent, BLS food, Honest compatible, etc. By discarding an XYZ Material, you're allowed to target a card on the Field and return it to the player's Hand.

This effect, for starters, can be used during either player's turn. Obviously a good thing, and as stated, a card...yours or your opponent's. So use this on offensively or defensively, to reuse a card or card effect perhaps of your own, or on your opponent to rid yourself of a powerful Monster or Magic or Trap card, or even face down Monster. The card can be face up or down note.

Ratings:

Traditional: 2.5/5 The Light specific summon does hurt, but it's hardly the end of the world.

Advanced: 3.5/5

As everyone knows, the Hidden Arsenal #7 set is due to release this week, and with it comes some great expectations with some powerful cards that are sure to change the current Meta. The first card on our list is Constellar Pleiades. Pleiades is a nifty Xyz monster with a quick effect that allows it to return one card on the field to the owners hand once per turn. This is a great effect to use on your turn to return and reuse your Call of the Haunted, Fiendish Chain, and Fire Formation – Tenki, or to bounce your opponent’s Xyz monster. Then on your opponent’s turn, you can use Pleiades to disrupt your opponent’s strategy.

All you need to summon Constellar Pleiades is two level 5 monsters. Hieratic and Constellar decks, along with Cyber Dragon and Ghost Ship can accomplish this easily. Constellar decks will make the most use of Constellar Pleiades as they have the most level 5 monster support and support cards for Constellar monsters. For example, you can play Constellar Star Chart, Xyz summon Pleiades to draw a card, then bounce and replay Chart and then overlay with Constellar Ptolemy M7 for a second draw. In fact, if you are playing Pleiades, you will probably want to play M7 to give you more options.

Constellar Pleiades is a very good Xyz monster in a deck that plays level 5 Light monsters and will fight Adreus and Tiras for Extra deck space. It will definitely be a force to be reckoned with after this week.

Bleak dragon55 Welcome to Hidden Arsenal week! This week we will be looking at many of the new cards being brought in from this extensive collection. Today we are looking at a very strong constellar monster, Constellar Pleiades!

This thing is quite the threat in a constellar deck. Thanks to the combination of Kaus alongside Sombres, Polux, or Algedi, the constellar deck has the ability to push out rank 3,4, or 5's quite easily on turn 1. Furthermore this thing is probablly one of the best rank 5's we currently have, and yes, that does include Volcasaurus and Tiras!

Unlike Volca, Tiras, or even Adreus; Pleiades is a fantastic first turn play. The reason being is because it is a compulsory evacuation device (CED) on a stick, but even better as it can target any card on the field. Essentially, you have the ability to disrupt any of your opponent's plays they try to make on turn 1. We all know how crucial that first normal summon is for our combo pieces, which is why a first turn warning last format was so devastating. While it won't destroy the monster, Pleiades sets the field up to put some massive damage on during the next turn.

Advanced: 3.75

Sadly, it is limited to its own deck thanks to the restrictions, but that doesn't make it any less powerful. If a constellar play drops this turn 1 against you, prepare for a hard match for sure

Traditional: 2.5

It isn't too bad here thanks to Magical Scientist. You can make two Mokey Mokey King and xyz summon this, thus making your opponent's first turn play harder for them. Though the resources are better for an OTK...

HHoly Knights of the stars eh? Pretty awesome looking!

Today we are looking at: Constellar Pleiades

"2 Level 5 LIGHT monsters

So here is an interesting card, but only for light monsters, that are level 5. I would even go so far as to argue that it is on par with Adreus. (For lights, that are level 5.) however, unlike Adreus, the bounce effect could be seen as either a positive, or a downgrade. I personally favor the former, bouncing is way better than destruction this format. (Arguably)

I like him, but only in light decks. Or, maybe, in Constellers. Overall he is a great new card for light decks that gets around some of what hurts Tiras and Adreus's playability.

Today's Card of the Day Review is a card from the Hidden Arsenal 7 set: Constellar Pleiades.

This is a Rank 5 Xyz monster with 2500 ATK and a very useful effect. It needs 2 Level 5 LIGHT monsters to bring out, which for some decks, is not that hard to pull off.

"Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 card on the field; return that target to the hand."

Simply put, it is a longer-range Compulsory Evacuation Device on legs. This card can deal with any problem Xyz and Synchro monsters on the field with little issue while having the ATK to survive many battles. It also works to take away turns like, for example, if a Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear was Normal Summoned, you can use this effect and sending it back to the hand, taking away a turn just like that unless they have a Fire Formation - Tensu.

That's pretty darn good esp. with a 2500 ATK body.

Even better is the simple fact that this effect can be used on your own cards. Got a face-up Call of the Haunted you would love to re-use? Please, by all means, help yourself to adding back to your hand and using it again.

Galaxy/Photon can summon this with ease making it having to fight for its Extra Deck spot against Tiras, Keeper of Genesis thanks to Photon Satellite. Cyber Dragon is a Level 5 LIGHT monster and so is Solar Wind Jammer. Ghost Ship is another Level 5 LIGHT that can be called upon at will. Lightsworns can drop this if they are making use of Effect Veiler. After all, any Level 4 LIGHT + Effect Veiler = Constellar Pleiades.

And let's not forget the deck the card is named after. Constellar Virgo is a Level 5 LIGHT monster that can Special Summon another one straight to the field from your hand when Normal Summoned, making this card instantly. Constellar Kaus is a Level 4 LIGHT that can make itself as high as Level 6 or as low as Level 2.

Talk about being flexible.

Lastly, if you run out of Xyz Material, don't fret. Constellar Ptolemy M7 can make use of this by Chaos Xyz Change this into Ptolemy M7 and give yourself a small ATK boost and a extra effect for basically free.

For those who has been keeping watch, this card is REALLY good. I will be looking into getting at least 2 copies of this card because, once this set becomes hard to find, I'm sure this card will rise along with it.

I'm actually glad I reviewed this card. I need it for my own build now.

Traditional Format: 3/5 (It is actually good enough to see play there. Talk about something that annoys players and can ruin a carefully-planned play.)
AAdvanced Format: 4/5 (It is REALLY good. It is so good, it's scary. It's the kind of card that I'm afraid of playing any cards against. Good thing it is basically only can be summoned by LIGHT decks. Oh, the nightmare it would be if this card was generic.)
