3 Level 5 monsters
Once per turn, when this card is targeted for an attack: It gains ATK equal to that attacking monster's original ATK, until the End Phase. If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. When this card on the field is destroyed by a card effect while it has no Xyz Materials: You can Special Summon 1 "Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon" from your Extra Deck and attach this card from the Graveyard to it as an Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon.)
Well after our Top 10 Countdown from Cosmo Blazer,
we shift gears again a bit. Welcome to XYZ
week! Four of the five Monsters we review this
week are Number Cards, but all these cards are
worthy of reviews. We open with the little
cousin of Number 93: Heart-EartH Dragon.
Before I knew we were doing our Top 10 Countdown, it
made sense to review this guy following said Dragon.
But anyway, we're looking today at Number 53:
Heart-Earth! This card is a Dark attributed,
FIend-type, Rank 5 XYZ Monster, with 100 attack and
defense, who is XYZ Summoned with three Level 5
Monsters.
This Monster, as you may have guessed, works
similarly to Number 92. So, once a turn, when
targeted for an attack, Number 53 gains the attack
of the attacking Monster. So it should always
be stronger than that Monster during that attack,
since this Monster all ready has 100 attack of its
own. Keep in mind it gains attack only to the
Monsters original attack however. If this face
up card would be destroyed, it can spare itself,
simply by discarding an XYZ Material instead.
Furthermore, when destroyed while it has no XYZ
Material, note by a card effect, not by Battle, you
can Special Summon Number 92 from your Extra Deck.
You do get to use this as an XYZ Material to Number
92, but it seems to me IF you were going to play
Number 92 at all, you would be more interested in
XYZ Summoning the Monster itself in its own way.
You can obviously make a Deck to play both, or one
or the other. I think Number 53 is powerful in
its own accord, and certainly leaps and bounds
easier to Summon than Number 92. Honestly I
don't expect either to see a whole lot of play but I
wouldn't fault anyone for trying to put together at
least a casual Deck with one or both of these cards.

We are going to be reviewing a number of promo
cards this week, but first, we are going to take a
look at a “number” card from Cosmo Blazer. Number
53: Heart-eartH takes some resources to bring out
with 3 level 5 monsters. Looking at its stats, it
looks like a weenie monster. 100 ATK and DEF are
just about as week as it gets. That is where its
effects come in.
First, it will gain the original ATK of a monster
that battles it. Not really a good effect in the
current Meta. Fire Fist decks obliterate Number 53.
Forbidden Lance, Honest, and Spellbook of Power just
thumb their nose at it. In addition, you get no
boost when you attack so Number 53: Heart-eartH is
primarily just a defensive card which does not combo
well with today’s aggressive decks. Another
disadvantage to the first effect is if you opponent
has two monsters on the field, they only have to do
is attack with the weaker one first, then kill it
with the stronger monster as it says once per turn
it gains the ATK. Boo!
The second effect of Number 53: Heart-eartH will
help to protect it from destruction by detaching a
material, giving it three chances to survive. Then
when it gets destroyed by a card effect with no
material, you can special summon one Number 92:
Heart-eartH Dragon and make Number 53 one of its
materials. That is a nice effect, but your opponent
is knows that and will simply work around it.
If you are playing a defensive deck that can special
summon level 5 monsters like crazy, then Number 53:
Heart-eartH would be a good fit. Off hand, I know of
none. It is more likely that you will want to use
your level 5 monsters for Xyz monsters like Tiras or
Adreus. This is because all of the decks that I know
of that can mass produce level 5 monsters are
offensive in nature, like Hieratic, Inzektor, and
Dark World.

A new week, that gives us a new week of cards to
review...Xyz cards! Becuase Pojo knows you kids love
those wacky Xyz monsters. Up first is Number 53:
Heart-eartH....I see what they did there. Heart-eartH
is a Rank 5 Xyz, needing 3 level 5 monsters to
summon, and is a DARK/Fiend. This is a counterpart
to Number 93: Heart-eartH Dragon and comes into play
later. Once per turn, if this card is targeted for
an attack, it gains the ATK of the attacking
monster's original ATK until the end phase. This is
good, as it will make your opponent think twice
about attacking, unless they have some kind of ATK
power gain going. If this face up card would be
destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz material to save
this card from destruction. That is good, as it gets
you one step closer to getting Heart-eartH Dragon
out. When this card is destroyed while it has no Xyz
materials on it, you can special summon 1 Number 92:
Heart-eartH Dragon from your extra deck and attach
Number 53: Heart-eartH to it as an Xyz material, it
also counts as an Xyz summon. that is pretty good.
Cards that get stronger versions of themselves when
destroyed is really good. You can even destroy this
card yourself while it has no Xyz materials on it to
get H.E. Dragon out. The only thing is this is one
of those cases where a card like this needs its own
deck.

Welcome to another week of card reviews! Today we
will cover the younger brother of Number 92 and a
card that is actually pretty useful; let’s take a
look at Number 53: Heart-eartH
Number 53: Heart-eartH
Dark/Fiend/Rank 5
3 Level 5 monsters
Once per turn, when this card is targeted for an
attack: It gains ATK equal to that attacking
monster's original ATK, until the End Phase. If this
face-up card on the field would be destroyed, you
can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.
When this card on the field is destroyed by a card
effect while it has no Xyz Materials: You can
Special Summon 1 "Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon"
from your Extra Deck and attach this card from the
Graveyard to it as an Xyz Material. (This Special
Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon.)
First of all; let’s examine the summoning condition.
3 Level 5’s is quite the hefty cost. The best ways I
can think of doing it are:
So, getting out 3 level 5s is quite the feet. Is
this card worth it? The answer is a big solid….
Kinda. He works like Dark Mist and he gains the
attack points of the first monster he battles. Then,
if he would die; you can detatch a material instead.
If your opponent gets fed up with it and destroys it
through Dark Hole or Triple JD eff; you then get to
replace it with Number 92.
It isn’t that bad at all! However…. There are many
ways to exploit this card.
1) Battle
So, if you have a Caius and a Dupe Frog on your side
of the field and you face up against this, just let
Dupe Frog attack first then finish it off with
Caius. Simply letting your weaker monster take the
hit will take care of the primary effect of this
monster.
2) Protection from
card effects
Ya, so it can only protect itself from card effects.
If you can exploit the battle option, then you
should be fine here. Just don’t waste your dark
holes against it. It doesn’t provide an immediate
threat whatsoever. Also, since it says Destroy and
not specifically anything else; you can easily
Dimensional Prison it when it tries to kill one of
your monsters.
Don’t get me wrong, it is a pretty cool card with a
decent effect that can replace itself when destroyed
with something even better; the problem lies in
protection and actually summoning this monster.
Advanced: 2.25
I rate it higher than 92 simply because it can
replace itself with 92 when destroyed.
Traditional: 1.0
I wouldn’t even bother.

Today we are looking at: Number 53: Heart-eartH
“3 Level 5 monsters

This card has bunch of cool effects mashed into a
small hard to kill body, and he also happens to be
the easiest way to bring out Number 92: Heart-eartH
Dragon.
If you manage to get 3 level 5 monsters on the field
(Every one and their mother is running some way to
stop you from summoning, and Solemn Warning is a
thing right now.) your opponent is going to have a
bad day. Once this guy hits the field he is always
going to have 100 more attack points than whatever
he battles, so you can’t attack it. You pretty well
have to use an effect to bounce/remove him, or just
keep hurling destruction at him until he finally
dies. And then, when he actually dies, he spits out
Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon. Obviously you’re not
going to have much luck running him unless you build
a deck around him, but in his own deck he is pretty
obnoxious. Heck, he could probably even win a local
tournament just by the surprise factor alone.
That being said with the current state of the game
you will have to fight pretty hard to get him on the
field, and hope your opponent doesn’t have answer
his summon. But, if you can pull all of this off you
have a great shot at winning.
I like him, but you’re not going to see him in any
tier 1 events anytime soon. (Unless I am missing
something)

Today's Card of the Day review is Number 53:
Heart-Earth, an Ultra/Ultimate Rare card from the
Cosmo Blazer set and is the card that will most
likely lead into Xyz Summoning Number 92:
Heart-Earth Dragon.
We will begin by mentioning that this card is
asking for a hefty investment to Xyz Summon: 3 Level
5 monsters. This can be done with a combination of
Cyber Dragon, Garbage Ogre/Garbage Lord, Star
Drawing, and a ton of other LV5 cards.
Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how
you look at it), this is easier to do when compared
to Number 92. Despite if you are aiming to summon
Number 92 or not, let's speak about its effect,
posted below.
"Once per turn, when this card is targeted for an
attack: It gains ATK equal to that attacking
monster's original ATK, until the End Phase. If this
face-up card on the field would be destroyed, you
can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.
When this card on the field is destroyed by a card
effect while it has no Xyz Materials: You can
Special Summon 1 "Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon"
from your Extra Deck and attach this card from the
Graveyard to it as an Xyz Material. (This Special
Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon.)"
This card only has 100 ATK and 100 DEF so this
card's value is literally on the effects of this
monster. Fortunately, it can hold its own provided
its effect is still activated.
When attacked, this card can beat almost any
monster via battle. The only reason why I said
"almost" is because it only gains the original ATK.
Sorry to disappoint you but Tragoedia gets around
that since its original ATK is 0. The Calculator can
easily beat it in battle and Card Trooper will have
little issues running it over so it is best to add
some defense just in case.
However, it may not be necessary. Number 53 also
comes in with built-in destruction prevention, which
is also nice. Even nicer, the destruction prevention
is universal. If it gets destroyed by battle, detach
an Xyz Material and it will live. If it gets
destroyed by card effect, same thing. Since this is
not once per turn, it does make for a pretty decent
wall. Keep in mind that you are still taking Battle
Damage regardless.
The last effect is what going to give you Number
92. If there is no Xyz Material on this card and it
gets destroyed by a card effect, you can bring out
Number 92 successfully with an Xyz Material given to
it. Considering that you have managed to keep Number
53 alive by taking blows by card effects and your
opponent can't reliably beat it in battle, that is
very well possible. Even better, you can trigger it
by destroying Number 53 yourself so you don't need
to wait for your opponent's Dark Hole or Torrential
Tribute.
There is one more obvious weakness to consider:
This card is pretty good for defensive measures.
However, this card is outright terrible for offense.
Since its 1st effect only triggers when attacked, it
is more-or-less a sitting down that can be ignored
until you are ready to deal with it by negating its
effect and then running over the frail 100 ATK
monster.
Overall, this card is not outright terrible but
it is not exactly worth the trouble bringing it out
considering how much viable effect negation is
currently available within this game. If you are
going to try and play Number 53/Number 92, make sure
you bring suitable protection because they will need
it. Compulsory Evacuation Device will make this and
Number 92 cry. It is a fun casual card to play and
if you are into that, then I certainly recommend
giving it a spin.
Advanced Format: 1.5/5 (Its a nuisance at best, a
minor issue at the worst. You can get better
competitive value out of 3 Level 5 monsters than
this.)
Traditional Format: 1/5 (It's not competitive there.
Sorry.)

This week we are looking at some Anime/Manga Xyz
monsters. First off is one of Dr. Faker’s Xyz
monsters Number 53: Heart-eartH. We looked at Number
92: Heart-eartH Dragon earlier so what’s its little
brother like. Not great to be honest, effect number
1, is way too easy for the opponent to take
advantage of, have two monster and attack with the
weaker one first. Its protection effect is also a
problem for one thing it only works when it’s face
up which is not a good thing and it only prevents it
from being destroyed anything else and it’s gone.
The final effect allows you to special summon Number
92: Heart-eartH Dragon" but only if this card is
destroyed by your opponent, and it’s a card effect
and if it hand no materials, so if this card is face
dwon and destroyed by Dark Hole, then you get
nothing.
Overall 3 poor effects combined with a high
summoning cost, and terrible ATK and DEF for a
Rank 5 and you have a very poor card.
