Closing out this week is a Number Monster, in Number 92:  Heart-EartH Dragon.  This is a very beastly XYZ Monster, and one of the more difficult to summon, like Neo Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon or Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer, who need three high Level Monsters for an XYZ Summon.  Heart-Earth Dragon needs three Level 9 Monsters, and is a Rank 9, Dark attributed, Dragon, with 0 attack and defense.  So immediately, when you have to invest three Level 9 Monsters, you're hoping for one hell of a payoff.

Secondly, you see the 0 attack and defense, and probably wonder if you should even bother looking at the rest of the text on the card.  So for two immediately pluses, this card cannot be destroyed by Battle, and your opponent takes all Battle Damage involved in a Battle with Number 92.  Although that too immediately means you're looking at destroying this thing with an effect or Magic or Trap card, which is all too easy to do.

But wait, it seems you actually want this Monster to be destroyed.  Once a turn, by discarding an XYZ Material, you can remove from play ALL cards your opponent Normal OR Special Summoned, or Set, during the current turn.  Now, for your payoff, if destroyed while having XYZ Material, you can Special Summon it from the Graveyard.  Furthermore, Heart-Earth Dragon gains 1000 attack for each card currently banished.

This guy I think needs his own Deck to be truly successful, if possible.  The attack could get pretty high via that effect in a removal Deck, and obviously if a card is removed or returned technically, it would lose 1000 attack.  But it gets points for all removed cards, not just ones removed via its effect.  The only thing I'm curious about is when you Special Summon it via its effect, if it had XYZ Material left, are they still attached when you Special Summon it.

Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon is a beast in more ways than one. A Xyz monster that requires 3 level 9 monsters and has no attack or defense should scare the heck out of you. It means that it has a whopper of an effect. First, it can not be destroyed by battle and your opponent takes the battle damage. You are basically designing a build around getting this monster out, protecting it, and running into your opponent’s monsters to inflict battle damage. Second, you can banish every monster your opponent summons or sets in their end phase so you do not have to worry about their set flip effect monsters like Ryko and Night Assailant, or recruiters like Mystic Tomato and Apprentice Magician. And finally, when it is destroyed with material attached, you can special summon it from the graveyard with 1000 ATK times the number of cards currently banished in the game. By playing cards like Bottomless Trap Hole, Dimensional Prism, and Soul Release, Number 92 can be quite beastly.

Now for the drawback to Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon. First, it requires 3 level 9 monsters to summon it. I don’t know if you have noticed, but level 9 monsters are far and few between and most of them are Fusion, Xyz, and Synchro monsters. That means that we are going to have to manufacture them. One way is to get a level 10 monster like Tragoedia or Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon out and use the effect of Level Eater to reduce the level of your 10 monster to 9. Then use Red-Eye’s effect to summon another monster, use Tragoedia to take your opponent’s monster, or normal summon a monster and use Galaxy Queen’s Light to make them all level 9. You could also get 3 level 9 monsters on the field with Sorcerer of Dark Magic in the grave and Gagaga Caesar on the field with two other Gagaga monsters.

The second thing you will need to do is to protect Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon from card effects. You will need cards like Safe Zone, Heart of Clear Water, My Body as a Shield, Xyz Veil, and Xyz Reflect to protect it. Basing a strategy around Number 92 is going to be a beast to pull off and take a lot of resources. A top tier deck is going to disrupt this unwieldy strategy and run all over it, but if you are playing for fun, then a deck based around getting big Xyz monsters out is the deck for you.

Welcome to the final card of this week, and today we will be looking at the cover card of this set, Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon!

Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon

Rank 9, Dark, Dragon

3 Level 9 monsters
This card cannot be destroyed by battle, also your opponent takes any battle damage you would have taken from battles involving this card. During your opponent's End Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; banish all cards your opponent currently controls that were Normal or Special Summoned, or were Set, this turn. Hey, this effect looks familiar! At least it should if you have ever seen the Yubel line of monsters. This monster is basically the same, except it doesn’t replace itself when destroyed and it has a cool extra ability.

Basically, it can’t die in battle and they take all damage that you would have taken. Then, if they try to do defense during their turn; you can detatch a material to destroy all the monsters they summoned. THEN if they kill the dragon afterwards, it revives itself with an additional 1000 attack points for every card banished; thus making it into a beater.

But before we can talk about its effect; let’s discuss the fact that it is a rank 9. Let’s also address that level 9 and level 11 monsters are the hardest to come by and you realize…. Hey; this thing is stupid-hard to get out and I might as well just run a Yubel deck if I want to use a monster with this effect. Luckily though, there is a second way of summoning this monster; which is by using Number 53.
53 is easier to summon thanks to its ability to summon this Dragon when destroyed… but it will only have number 53 as an xyz material; unless you use Overlay regen or something.

So…. We have a conundrum. While it would be best to summon 92 using 3 level 9 monsters to get the most out of the card…. Is it really feasible? The easiest way I have seen to summon this card is to summon Red-Eyes Darkness Metal dragon; reduce its level by 1 with level eater and then use Galaxy Queen’s Light while you have a monster on the field revived by REDMD. Basically a 4 card combo.

If we summon it by using 53; we have to give up 3 level 5 monsters; but the end-result isn’t as impressive.

However… there is one flaw in 93 and that is the lack of protection. Boss monsters with high summoning conditions need protection or else they become a huge waste of resources. A simple Solemn Warning, Dimensional Prison, or Compulsory Evacuation Device leaves you at a huge disadvantage for such a loss in cards.

I won’t say that it sucks…. But it isn’t very good.

It’s ok and isn’t the worst thing to summon; but there are definitely better cards

Ya…. Good luck getting out all those monsters before being OTK’ed

Art: 3.0

It’s a pretty awesome looking Dragon-Serpent thing. Sadly though, with the amount of dragons in the game; they have to be very impressive in order to get a high rating.

Monday’s Card: I wonder if they hit the shift key on accident when making these?

Shadowlaw

Hey yugioh fans Shadowlaw back in for my third review.  Up today is the fearsome #92 Heart-eartH Dragon.  Heart eartH is a pretty interesting card, kind of like a supped up Yubel.  So let's look at what this dragon can do.  First he cannot be destroyed by battle....which is fantastic, also all battle damage is taken by an opponent which is also great.  Third by removing one xyz material you can banish all cards your opponent normal summoned, special summoned or set at the end of the turn they were played.  That is just insane you can literally erase an entire turn with this one card.  Lastly whenever Heart-eartH dragon is destroyed if it has materials it can come right back.  Now I've been looking online and there are quite a few decks around this card and chain destruction that let's you destroy Heart-eartH copies from your extra deck in order to bring a set of these dragons into play and honestly I think that's about the best (if not only way) to summon this card.  Because honestly three level nines is practically impossible to get out.  Overall I think this is an amazing card with a lot of potential and the ability to win games all by himself.  But he needs his own deck.

Ratings:
traditional: 1.5/5 this is a stall card traditional is not a stall format.
Advanced: 3/5 this is an overall rating for the deck based on him but I think I may be undervaluing him just a bit.

SO today we are reviewing a number card. But is this number monster a good card? Let’s find out!

Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon

Attribute-Dark
Types- Dragon/Xyz/Effect
Rank 9
3 Level 9 monsters
This card cannot be destroyed by battle, also your opponent takes any battle damage you would have taken from battles involving this card. During your opponent's End Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; banish all cards your opponent currently controls that were Normal or Special Summoned, or were Set, this turn. If this card is destroyed while it has Xyz Material: You can Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. When you do: It gains 1000 ATK for every card currently banished.
ATK/0 DEF/0

This card is very interesting. This card’s effect is very useful, it’s hard to destroy, and can become a huge beat stick. But is this card really worth playing? There are no decks that I can think of which can summon three level nine monsters with ease. Luckily you don’t have to do that! The only way you should play this card is if you have a deck that can summon 3 level 5 monsters easily. Now you might be wondering why I say that. The easiest way to summon this monster is by using Number 53: Heart-eartH. This monster is rank 5 and is made up of 3 level 5 monsters. Number 53 can special summon Heart-eartH Dragon if it is destroyed by a card effect while it has no xyz material attached to it.

There aren’t many decks that can play this successfully. Wind-ups can overlay three of their sharks to summon Number 53. Inzektors can also make rank 5 monsters relatively easily with their lady bugs. There is another deck that can summon this aswell. One rogue deck that I’ve played that can actually summon Number 53 with ease is my Des Frog OTK deck. Here is a link to that deck:

http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=1105589

If you have trouble accessing the link then just copy and paste the link to go to it. It is relatively easy make Number 53 with this deck. I haven’t tested this card in the deck yet but please try it out!

Advanced:1.75/5
-Heart-eartH Dragon has a very nice effect but it’s hard to summon in most decks. I probably wouldn’t suggest playing this right now but it may be good in the future.
Traditional:1/5
-This is way too hard to summon in this format. It’s just not worth playing here.
Art:5/5
-I’m not sure why but I really like this card’s art. It just reminds me of chaos and looks really cool!

Today's Card of the Day happens to be the esteemed cover card of the Cosmo Blazer booster set, the one we come to know only as Number 92: Heart-Earth Dragon.

This card is very interesting because it has 0 ATK and 0 DEF and it is difficult to summon. Fortunately, Number 53 makes bringing this bad boy out a lot easier but it only makes the task just slightly easier. With that said, is it worth pulling in all of that effort to bring this out? Let's find out, shall we?

This card's first effect makes it a more superior version of Spirit Reaper. It can't be destroyed by battle and all battle damage you would take is going back to your opponent therefore this card will make sure any Life Point damage is going nowhere near you via battle and will certainly go back to your opponent where it belongs. You can even ram it into a beefy monster like an Obelisk and make its controller eat the battle damage.

The second effect will make sure that any plans your opponent has to deal with your Number 92 gets cut off short. During your opponent's End Phase, you can detach an Xyz Material from this card to banish all cards on the field that is either Normal Summoned, Special Summoned, or were Set this turn. Case-in-point, if you think you can set a Book of Moon against this bad boy, Number 92 will see it and get rid of it before you can get a chance to use it as defense. Sorry. Monsters on the field that was summoned or set that turn will be getting a one-way ticket to the Different Dimension. So sad.

Its last effect is more-or-less insurance on the rare case it gets dealt with sooner than planned. If this card gets destroyed while it still has Xyz Material (talk about ending his fun early), it comes back with a vengeance. When he makes his wonderful re-appearance, he comes with an extra effect allowing it to get 1000 ATK for every banished card currently resting in the Different Dimension. This is typically harder to pull off without giving it extra help as, in most cases, when it is initially Xyz Summoned, it will have only one Xyz Material. If it gets destroyed with that one Xyz Material, it never had a chance to use its 2nd effect which means it coming back empty-handed and if it did use said 2nd effect, it doesn't have any more Xyz Material making it dog-food to anything that can remove it indirectly since it won't be coming back at all.

This card is all-mighty unfortunately it brings some very obvious weaknesses. First of all, it has no protection against cards that target or can destroy it. Soul Taker will get rid of it provided it has no Xyz Material. Another way to deal with it is by banishing it yourself since neither effects will help it when Number 92 is in the Different Dimension itself. It can easily be shut down by cards that negate its effect, including Breakthrough Skill, Skill Drain, Forbidden Chalice, Fiendish Chain and so much more.

With that said, this card needs protection if it expects to run its full course. One way to help it out is by adding extra Xyz Material to the card. Overlay Regen is one underrated common of REDU that can give immediate Xyz Material to Number 92 so it can make use of both of its effect if brought out by Number 53. Another way is to make sure that Number 92's effect can't be negated. Forbidden Lance will help in that regard since Number 92's ATK is most likely 0, it will only gain from being unaffected by Spells/Traps, making it even a bigger menace. Lastly, dealing with cards like Grand Mole and D.D. Warrior Lady that could challenge it is another issue so Fiendish Chain can come in handy to give it an added protection boost.

All-in-all, it isn't a very competitive card since there is a ton of ways to deal with it but it is a ton of fun to bring it out in casual games, which I'm sure this card is more suited for. It also looks pretty cool as well.

Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon
Dark/Dragon/Xyz/Effect/Rank 9/0/0
3 Level 9 monsters
This card cannot be destroyed by battle, also your opponent takes any battle damage you would have taken from battles involving this card. During your opponent's End Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; banish all cards your opponent currently controls that were Normal or Special Summoned, or were Set, this turn. If this card is destroyed while it has Xyz Material: You can Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. When you do: It gains 1000 ATK for every card currently banished.

To wrap up this week we look at Dr Faker’s Boss monster;  Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon.  Unsurprising for a boss monster it has a number of powerful effects. The first two effects scream “luck at me I’m the new Yubel except I’m harder to get out but I don’t have a crippling maintenance cost”.

The third effect is a powerful effect, able to banish a large portion or all of your opponent’s field just by detaching 1 Xyz material can be devastating but that can only happen if the opponent hasn’t already found a way of getting it of it before you can activate the effect.

The final effect allows you get revenge on the opponent if they get rid of it, but only if it’s destroyed with material still on it and it goes to the graveyard and  provided you have actually banished any cards, but if you are playing this card you should have already thought of that.

Overall Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon is like most Boss cards, really powerful in the show but when it gets into real life its flaws become apparent. The first flaw is the high summoning requirements, unless you summon this using Number 53: Heart-eartH’s effect you are going to need a way to get 3 level 9 monsters on the field, which is quite a lot of resources to use for a fancier version of Yubel. Similarly anyone who has ever encountered a Yubel deck will probably know of a couple of ways to stop this.  Like most Boss monsters Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon really needs a deck built around it, but it probably isn’t really worth it.

The end of the week brings us to Brotherhood of....wait...it's not a Fire Fist? Heart-eartH Dragon is that Xyz monster you want to get out so badly because it can really wreck your opponent. A DARK/Dragon type with 0/0 for ATK and DEF, and needs 3 level 9 monsters to Xyz summon. If you've enver heard of this card, stay with me....stats alone don't win games. HED cannot be destroyed by battle and any battle damage you would have taken is inflicted to your opponent. That right there alone, I like. That alone will force your opponent to try to find a way around Heart-eartH almost immediately. Because all you will be doing is ramming this guy into your opponent's monsters, both attack and defense postions, over and over. And if that isin't bad enough, during your opponent's end phase, you can (Key word right there) detach 1 Xyz material from this card to banish all of your opponents cards that they control that were normal/special summoned or set that turn. That puts a very serious damper on any strategy your opponent might have if they can't get rid of Heart-eartH that turn. Allowing it to ram into more monsters yet again. And if HED is destroyed while it has Xyz materials, you can special summon it from the graveyard, and it gains 1000 ATK for each card banished at the time is hits the field. Overlay Regen anyone? You can make a strong Yubel deck with cards like Galaxy Queen's Light in it to get out 3 level 9 monsters, as well as Heratics and Gagagas. I think this card is worth buidling a deck around, even if it's for fun.
