Shifting yet again, we go to the new Elemental Lord on the block, being Windrose, who is the Elemental Lord of Wind (as if his name didn't give that away). This might be the coolest looking of the Elemental Lords so far. So we have all the text you've seen before...Level 8, 2800 attack, 2200 defense, can only be Special Summoned by having exactly five Wind Monsters in your Graveyard. If this card leaves the Field, you lose your next Battle Phase. Now, when this card is Special Summoned, it has a built in Harpie's Feather Duster. I'm not a big fan of these guys overall, but I do actually like this one in a Wind Deck.

Welcome to another Card of the Day review!!  Today we are reviewing the newest Elemental Lord from Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy.  It hasn’t really seen much play yet but that doesn’t mean it’s bad.  Now let’s see what this card can do.

Windrose the Elemental Lord
Attribute: Wind
Types: Winged Beast/Effect
Level 8

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having exactly 5 WIND monsters in your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned: Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls. You can only use this effect of "Windrose the Elemental Lord" once per turn. If this card leaves the field, skip the Battle Phase of your next turn.
ATK/2800                                           DEF/2200

So this monster is very similar to the other Elemental Lords.  It needs exactly 5 Wind monsters in the grave in order to summon it.  Now that can be a problem because that means only a few decks can use this card effectively.  Windrose’s effect isn’t very good right now.  When its special summoned it can destroy all the spells and trap cards on your opponent’s side of the field.  That effect isn’t too bad but it also isn’t very useful in the game right now.  The strongest decks in the meta right now are Prophecies and Dragon Rulers, and both of those decks aren’t affected too badly from backrow removal cards.  That’s the main reason this card hasn’t seen much play and it probably won’t see any play at all this format.  The other problem with this card is that it can’t be played in many decks.  The only decks that can use this card effectively are Harpies, Gustos, and Dragunities.

The good news is that this card might get better in the future.  There will probably be more Wind-attributed archetypes released in the future and backrow removal will probably become more useful in future formats.

Advanced: 2/5
-This is the rating I give it right now because it just isn’t very useful in the current meta. In the future it might actually see some play but right now it’s not very good.  I would definitely suggest holding on to this card if you get one because it has a lot of potential.

Traditional: 1/5
-This card is terrible here because there aren’t many good traditional decks that can use it well.

Oh great another Elemental Lord, if anyone remembers my previous reviews will know I don’t like these cards. So with the Wind version change my mind. NO. In this case, yes you get a Harpie’s Feather Duster, with 2800 ATK but that is it. It still has the awful skip your next turn’s Battle Phase condition and nothing to protect its summoning.

Overall in my opinion, Elemental Lords are still bad and this is no different.
