Galaxy Knight is our card today, one that works
rather well with yesterdays card, especially if
you're looking to XYZ Summon a Rank 8 XYZ Monster,
and in a Galaxy Deck you might be trying to
accomplish such a task. We have a Level 8, Light
attributed, Warrior, with 2800 attack and 2600
defense, both of which I consider great for a Level
8 Monster. Now, Level 8 is two tributes, however,
Galaxy Knight can be Normal Summoned from your Hand
without Tribute, if you control a Galaxy or Photon
Monster. When you do, you target a Galaxy Eyes
Photon Dragon from your Graveyard, and Special
Summon it, if possible. If not, then oh well, but
regardless (as stated on the card) this card loses
1000 attack, down to 1600. That's awful, BUT I'm
thinking you'd only use this in a situation where
you could at least get the Galaxy Eyes, and then the
attack drop might not be so much. Plus, he's still
Level 8, so you can XYZ or whatever else you see
necessary. But, remember too, the 1000 attack
decrease only lasts until the End Phase, so he
returns to his 2800. He's a very solid card for a
Galaxy/Photon Deck.
Ratings:
Traditional: 3.25/5 Light, Warrior, and a Normal
Summon 2800 attacker? Even if its Deck specific,
that's still good.
Advanced: 4.25/5
Art: 5/5

Galaxy Knight is the perfect fit in a
Galaxy/Photon deck. All you need is a Photon or
Galaxy monster on the field to normal summon it.
With all of the special summoning abilities that
this deck type possesses, getting a Galaxy or Photon
monster on the field is not too difficult. Photon
Thrasher and Slasher can both be special summoned.
We also have a ton of reborn cards like Call of the
Haunted, Monster Reborn. Limit Reverse, and Galaxy
Zero.
Once you normal summon Galaxy Knight with it’s
effect, you have a mandatory effect that special
summons a Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon from your
graveyard and low and behold, we have a rank 8
monster. Even if you do not have Galaxy-Eyes in your
graveyard, you still have other monsters that can
make level 8 and you still have a 2800 attack
monster on the field after your turn ends. If you
have our card from yesterday on the field, Galaxy
Wizard, you can make it a level 8 and Xyz for a rank
8.
Once you get Galaxy Knight in the graveyard, you
have 7 cards listed above that can special summon it
back to the field. Once on the field, you can use
Galaxy Expedition to summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon
Dragon from the deck and Xyz for a rank 8. If you
have not figured it out by now, the Galaxy/Photon
theme can summon level 8 monsters like crazy, so
making rank 8 monsters out of 2 or 3 monsters is a
piece of cake and Galaxy Knight is a key piece to
the puzzle.

Welcome to Zexal Tin week part 2! This week we
are covering Kaito cards (as I am sure many of you
already know from yesturday). Today we are looking
at a card that really brings the theme together and
allows for some amazing rank 8 plays. Let's take a
look at Galaxy Knight!
Galaxy Knight
Level 8/ Light/ Warrior
If you control a "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster,
you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing.
When you do: Target 1 "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" in
your Graveyard (if possible); regardless, this card
loses 1000 ATK, and if it does, Special Summon that
target (if any) in face-up Defense Position. This
ATK decrease lasts until the End Phase.
2800/2600
Normally main deck tribute monsters are not that
great, however Galaxy Knight changes that for sure!
Being level 8 allows you to utilize Trade-In in the
Galaxy deck now, as you have 6 potential discards (3
Galaxy Eyes and 3 Knight), thus giving some great
draw power. You can also easily summon it off of
Photon Sanctuary (another easy throw-in into the
deck). Plus, thanks to the easily summonable
Thrasher, you can special Thasher and then normal
summon this for no tribute! That's 4900 points of
damage off of 2 summons, though Thasher can't
attack.
So we can see it is easy to summon, but it only
gets better. So, when it's summon by not being
tribute summoned you can special summon a
galaxy-eyes photon dragon instant from your
graveyard. This helps to set-up some fast rank 8
plays to summon the deck's ace monster: Neo-Galaxy
Eyes. Even if you don't have another level 8, it is
an instant 2 material rank 8; which is really good.
Advanced: 3.5
Amazing support for the Galaxy deck! It allows
for some easy rank 8's and provides amazing synergy
with the deck! However, it can be a dead draw
without the proper field set-up, which is why the
rating is a bit lower than normal
Traditional: 2.0
It could work? Being a light isn't too bad.
Art Work: 3.0
Not too bad. Though the giant warrior look is
very common now.

Welcome to next card from the Zexal Tin. This
card is an interesting card that might see some play
in Photon/Galaxy decks.
Galaxy Knight
Attribute-Light
Types-Warrior/Effect
Level 8
If you control a "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster, you
can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. When
you do: Target 1 "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" in your
Graveyard (if possible); regardless, this card loses
1000 ATK, and if it does, Special Summon that target
(if any) in face-up Defense Position. This ATK
decrease lasts until the End Phase.
ATK/2800 DEF/2600
This monster is pretty decent in a Galaxy/Photon
deck. It has 2800 Attack points even though it would
lose 1000 points for the turn it’s summoned. It is
nice that it can get you a plus if you have
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon in the grave. This monster
is nice because it can be used effectively in a
Photon Skill Beat deck or a Galaxy Deck. The only
issue with this monster is that a Photon or Galaxy
monster has to be on the field to summon this with
no tributes. That isn’t a big problem but can cause
this monster to be a dead draw at times.
Advanced:3/5
-In a Photon/Galaxy deck, this card can be useful.
It isn’t amazing but it’s pretty decent.
Traditional: 1/5
-This monster is just too slow for this format.
Art: 4/5
-It looks cool. It isn’t the best card art I’ve
seen, but it’s still decent.

Galaxy Knight
Light/Warrior/Effect/Level8/2800/2600
If you control a "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster, you
can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. When
you do: Target 1 "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" in your
Graveyard (if possible); regardless, this card loses
1000 ATK, and if it does, Special Summon that target
(if any) in face-up Defense Position. This ATK
decrease lasts until the End Phase.
The Next card from Kaito’s cards from the 2013
ZeXal Collection Tin is Galaxy Knight. Konami
clearly designed this guy so you would get out Neo
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, but this guy screams I
can summon any generic Rank 8 Xyz monster that
requires 2 materials. This main effect is that of
you have another Photon or Galaxy monster you can
normal summon him with tribute, then you can special
summon 1 Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon from your
graveyard but Galaxy Knight loses 1000 ATK.
On the plus side he only loses his ATK until the
End Phase so you will have a monster with 2800 ATK
which didn’t need any tributes, and he does allow
you to special summon a Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon
without any condition to it barring it’s in DEF
mode. However the main problem with Galaxy Knight is
that both effects require you to have other monsters
available which can be a problem.
Overall, if you play Galaxy/Photon decks, then
this card is a must, other than that, if you want a
level 8 that you can summon with a tribute use Beast
King Barbaros instead.
