Message in a Bottle is certainly one of the more
interesting Magic cards out there. You target and
Special Summon three Monsters from your Graveyard
with different Levels. Their attack becomes 0 and
they have their effects negated. Right away both of
those seem like immediate downsides. Furthermore,
you're not allowed to Special Summon for the rest of
turn, unless you XYZ Summon. If you don't XYZ Summon
in the turn you use this card, you take 4000
Lifepoints of Damage. Now for a plus, you don't have
to use the Monsters you Special Summon with this
card to XYZ Summon, although I'm not sure why you
wouldn't. Also, since the Monsters chosen receive 0
attack, it's good you don't have to Special Summon
them in attack position. I suppose this could be
useful in a pinch, but I don't think you have room
in your Deck for this, nor is it that necessary.

Today we read the Message in a Bottle. This is
one of those cards that you use after you normal
something. You can special summon 3 monsters from
your grave and they all have to be different levels
from each other. Their ATK become 0 and all of their
effects are negated. If you don't Xyz summon this
turn after activating Message in a Bottle, you take
a hit of 4000 LP during the endphase. You can't
special summon other monsters after you after you
use this card, except for Xyz summoning. This card
is really used to normal summon Right away, cards
like Des Wombat and Prime Material Dragon will not
stop the loss of 4000 LP as it is not damage, you
are just flat out losing them. You can use Message
in tandem with cards such as a Photon Satellite
normal summon or Galaxy Queen's Light, so you can
mess around with the monsters' level and get out an
Xyz monster (or two) and avoid taking that possible
game ending 4000 loss. Even Gagaga Magician can work
with these cards. A good card that can help Xyz
summoning real fast if used properly. But the risk
of losing 4000 should something happen to those
three monsters (Torrential Tribute) is something you
should think about before hand.

Today we are looking at: Message in a Bottle
“Target 3 monsters with different Levels in your

become 0, also their effects are negated. If you do
not Xyz Summon this turn after summoning those 3

this card.”
So first my first impression is WOW! If I read that
right (Hey anyone could be wrong) you get 3
different monsters with 3 different levels
with no effect and 0 attack and you just have to xyz
summon ONE XYZ monster to avoid the 4000 life points
of damage? Count me in. So basically you could use
this, and then normal summon any monster of a
matching level to XYZ into something great and have
a couple of meaty defenders on the field for next
turn?
I probably haven’t even scratched the surface yet,
but needless to say this is a card I expect to see
implemented in something new and exciting! (Or a
karakuri syncrho/XYZ build?!)

Message in a Bottle
Normal Spell
Target 3 monsters with different Levels in your
Graveyard; Special Summon all 3 of them. Their ATK's
become 0, also their effects are negated. If you do
not Xyz Summon this turn after summoning those 3
monsters, you lose 4000 Life Points during the End
Phase. You cannot Special Summon any other monsters,
except by Xyz Summon, during the turn you activate
this card.
Next up is Message in a Bottle another normal
spell from the 2013 ZeXal Collection Tin. First of
summon 3 monsters from your graveyard with no cost
is almost too good to be true. Granted they have to
be of different levels and they have no ATK or
effects but still 3 monsters is amazing. Hang on I
can’t special summon any other monsters apart from
Xyz monsters and if I don’t, I lose 4000 LIFE
POINTS!
Okay, that is quite a big price to pay for not
Xyz summoning, of course you do have the rest of
your turn to Xyz summon which isn’t too bad and if
you have played this card you are planning to Xyz
summon meaning you either have another monster which
can Xyz with 1 of your special summoned monsters or
you have something like Galaxy Queen’s Light ready.
Overall granted the risk of losing 4000 life
points is quite a risk, but a risk that can be worth
it if played smart and chances are you are not going
to use this card unless you can Xyz summon.
