Welcome to the last card of this week of Hidden
Arsenal Cards! Today we will be looking at one of
the best enablers that has been given for a deck.
With it and a Rekindling, it causes one turn kills.
Lets take a look at Molten Conduction Field!
Molten Conduction Field
Normal Spell
Send 2 "Laval" monsters from your Deck to the
Graveyard.
Such a simple effect, but allow me to explain why
this card is so influential for the laval deck.
About a year ago or so I was experimenting with
Lavals as I saw potential. The deck had access to a
large amount of monsters with that magical 200
defense, allowing for Rekindling plays. Not just
normal rekindling plays, but Shooting Quasar Dragon
plays. The problem? It so hard to set up the grave
for these plays. Yes you had the monster that milled
2, Lightsworns, Magical Merchant, and more; but they
weren't as consistent and reliable.
Then they revealed this.
I specifically remember that night that the cards
were leaked on the forums here and the huge uproar
that happened. Molten Conduction Field milling a
Hand Maiden and a Cannonner will lead to 2 level 4's
and 3 level 1's, each with 200 defense for a perfect
Quasar Set-up. All you needed was to draw into Boost
Warrior and you had the perfect set-up, from 3
cards! (Rekindling, This, Boost Warrior). So as you
can see, this brings a huge amount of consistency
toward the laval deck. I mean.... we have the
generic Foolish Burial at one per deck; so having a
archetype get a themed double mill that's at 3 per
deck? Very impressive indeed
Advanced: 4.00
The perfect card to enable Laval plays. Being able
to drop the biggest synchro monsters off of two
cards should let you know how scary this can be.
Traditional: 3.00
I can see lavals being useful here. Just turbo play
into Quasar and sit on it for game.
Art: 3.00
A very lush burning landscape. I like it!
