Iron Call is another card that works well with a specific type of Monster to allow an easy XYZ Summon.  In this case, it works with Machines, and all you have to do is control one, you can target and Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Machine Monster from your Graveyard.  Any effects are negated, and it's destroyed during the End Phase, but that's irrelevant as it'll be gone by the End Phase anyway.  You XYZ a Rank 1-4, ideally anyway, as the card is specific, but good where it belongs, and decent for what it does.

As if Machines didn't have enough, now they have today's card, Iron Call. A normal spell card that allows you to target 1 level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster in your graveyard and special summon it if you control a face up Machine-Type monster. Its effects are negated and it is destroyed during the end phase. Any Machine deck from Karakuris, Gadgets, Morphtronics and even Ancient Gear benefit from Iron Call. Use this card for an extra attacker, Synchro or Xyz summon. Iron Call is a great card, and in certain situations, can win the game.

Today we are looking at: Iron Call

"If you control a Machine-Type monster: Target 1 Level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. Its effects are negated. Destroy it during the End Phase.
"

This is a neat card. In a machine deck it is basically a button to make an XYZ, and isn't even limited by the monster not being able to attack. This is yet another piece that helps boost gadget control back into the spotlight; and even karukuri to a certain extent. The caveat to this awesome card is that you have to already have a machine type monster on the field. While a two card combo will normally work, it will still never be as great as a one card power play (tour guide for example.)

Overall this is yet another excellent pice of support for anything running machines, and will hopefully help some gadget control decks start topping; provided that they can get past E-dragons and spellbooks.

Welcome to another Card of the Day review! Today we are reviewing a new machine support card and it’s actually pretty interesting.

Iron Call
Normal Spell
If you control a Machine-Type monster: Target 1 Level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. Its effects are negated. Destroy it during the End Phase.

This spell card is actually pretty good. It can help make some nice plays with Gadgets, Karakuris, Geargias and other machine decks for Xyz and Synchro summons. The monster does get destroyed in the end phase but normally you will probably be using it as material to summon something else from the extra deck anyways. It is a shame that the monster you summon with this card has its effect negated, but then again it would be way too good if it didn’t negate it. Overall it’s a pretty good card that will probably see some competitive play eventually.

Advanced: 3/5
-It’s a good card. I haven’t seen this card being played much yet but it definitely has a lot of potential.

Traditional: 3/5
-This card may actually be pretty good here. It isn’t a slow card so it could actually be useful in the right deck.

Today's Card of the Day Review is Iron Call, a Secret Rare from Hidden Arsenal 7. It is a Normal Spell card with a simple but useful effect.

"If you control a Machine-Type monster: Target 1 Level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. Its effects are negated. Destroy it during the End Phase."

Pretty neat, huh? This card can help you make Rank 4 or lower Xyz Summons whenever needed as long as you have a little graveyard presence.

Gadgets is the main deck that can take advantage of this since they can search their deck out with ease, generating card advantage at almost every turn. Iron Call takes it one step further by making their Graveyard even more useful than merely bringing back Machina Fortress constantly by targeting a used Gadget and bring it back to the field to Xyz Summon a Rank 4 like Gear Gigant X or Gagaga Cowboy. Unfortunately, since its effect is negated, you can't search off of that Gadget but I'm sure you don't need to at that point.

Also, despite the fact that the selected monster's effect is negated, it can attack which means that if you need a little more pressure to finish a game via direct attacks, Iron Call can help you out in that department. After all, Machina Gearframe does have a solid 1800 ATK.

Geargia can use this and bring back Geargiaccelators and Geargiarmors to help make immediate Rank 4 Xyz Summons as well.

But the one deck that I feel that needs this card the most is Mecha Phantom Beasts. Let's not forget that this archetype is all Machine-Type monsters. Hamstrat and Stealthray is Level 3. Megaraptor and Tetherwolf is Level 4. It makes bringing out Rank 3 and Rank 4 Xyz monsters so much easier for this deck and since they have built-in destruction protection as long as they have a Token on the field, which is pretty easy to bring out in this deck, you can almost always meet the requirements of activating Iron Call as long as one Mecha Phantom Beast hits the Graveyard. This will give the deck the ability to Xyz Summon game-changers like Lightning Chidori or, if a Mecha Phantom Beast gets banished, Leviair the Sea Dragon. It can also help bring out more difficult-to-summon Rank 4 monsters like Number 16: Shock Master and Evilswarm Ouroboros. It opens up a brand new way to speed up and to outmaneuver an opponent at any given time, which is something this deck solely needs at this very moment.

In conclusion, this card is a very useful weapon for basically any Machine decks, esp. those who can replenish their resources and thin their decks with speed these days, which is almost all of them. If you have any interest in playing any Machine-type decks now or in the near future, pick up your playset. I can assure you that you won't regret it.

Traditional Format: 2/5 (I'm sure it has some merit there but I'm also confident Machine decks there don't need this too much. Maybe as a tech option.)
Advanced Format: 4/5 (In my opinion, I find this card to be just as important as Tin Goldfish is for Gadget decks and very underrated. It is definitely worthy of being a Secret Rare in Hidden Arsenal 7.)
