Madolche Hootcake is very solid support for an
Archtype still trying to take off. The Madoloche
theme strikes me sort of similar to Elemental
Heroes. An overwhelming amount of support, just very
little of it being worthwhile. We have a Level 3,
Earth attributed, Beast Monster, with 1500 attack
and 1100 defense.
When this card is destroyed by your opponent, by
Battle or by card effect, (although note that it has
to be in your possession) and sent to the Graveyard,
you can shuffle this owl back into your Deck. Then,
you can target a Monster in your Graveyard and
remove it from play.
Note too, and this is key, for this effect, it
doesn't have to be a Madolche Monster. Any Monster
can be used for this part of the effect. If you do,
you can Special Summon any Madolche Monster from
your Deck, present company excluded of course. You
can only use the effect once per turn.
Madolche needs more support like this,
desperately. Keep it coming

Madolche decks get a power-up with today’s card.
Madolche Hootcake does some pretty nice things for
Madolche decks. First, it functions like a Tour
guide, but for Madolche monsters. It is a level 3
monster so you can special summon a monster like
Baaple, use it’s effect to turn your opponent’s
monster to defense, special summon Leviar, and then
use its effect to special summon the monster you
removed from play for Hootcake’s effect.
The issue with Madolche Hootcake is that it is a
level 3 monster and Madolche decks would rather have
level 4 monsters on the field to special summon
their boss monster, Madolche Queen Tiaramisu.
However, Madolches also like to get effects when
they are special summoned so monsters like Madolche
Messengelato will get their effects. Oh yes,
Hootcake is also a Beast by the way. Another nice
monster to get with Hootcake is Madolche Puddingcess
so you can take care of those pesky cards that are
being a hindrance to you.
Madolche decks have yet to crack to top tier.
Even with Madolche Hootcake, they will need a lot
more help to compete with the likes of Marlantean,
Spellbook, and E-Dragons. Madolche decks take too
long to set up while the above decks can beet you
down in the matter of two turns. At least this food
group has not been forgotten.

Number 8 is indeed a wise old owl. Madolche
Hootcake does more than try to tell you how many
licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie
pop, as his effect can cause a lot of headaches. A
level 3, EARTH/Beast-type (Y U NO WINGED BEAST?)
with 1500/1100 for ATK/DEF, and it gets all the
goodies that comes with being a Beast-type, but all
the Madolche stuff as well. Hootcake is really good
at being able to replace itself from almost
everywhere, as if it is destroyed while he's in your
hand or if you control him on the field, when he
hits the grave after that, You can shuffle him back
into the deck, then target 1 monster in your grave
and banish it. If you do that, you can special
summon 1 Madolche monster from your deck except
Hootcake. This card is really good and gives the
Madolche deck a lot more speed to its summoning, and
its banishing of a monster doesn't restrict it to
just Madolches. You can get out Leviair and get back
that banished monster, or special summon Puddingcess
to get that ATK boost. Or there's Messegelato and
its ability to get Maldoche cards....Spell/Trap or
Monster, otherwise. A great card for a good deck
type.

Welcome to our #8 card of the Lord of Tachyon
Galaxy Countdown! Today we are looking at one of the
over-powered support cards we have seen in a long
time for an newer archetype. In fact, because of
this one card, it makes the deck incredibly
powerful! Lets take a look at Madolche Hootcake!
Madolche Hootcake
Level 3/ EARTH/ Beast
When this card in your possession is destroyed by
your opponent's card (either by battle or by card
effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this
card into the Deck. You can target 1 monster in your
Graveyard; banish it, and if you do, Special Summon
1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck, except "Madolche
Hootcake". You can only use this effect of "Madolche
Hootcake" once per turn.
1500/1100
Madolche... its a very interesting archetype.
However, the entire deck received a major power
boost thanks to this one card, though it is to be
expected from this set. Lord of Tachyon Galaxy
brought support to constant deck themes through many
of the cards in this set; but Hootcake is definitely
one of the most powerful. The effect is quite
simple; banish a monster from your grave and summon
a Madolche from your deck. In many ways, its a
themed Tour Guide for the Madolches; except that it
can bring some incredibly powerful plays for the
deck.
For example, summon Messengelato with this card
for a free madolche spell or trap search search (coughCastlecough)
and thus getting a plus 2 off the effect. You could
also summon this with Mewfeuille, banish a monster
to summon Messengelato, searching Ticket, xyz summon
your two level 3's into M-X-Saber Invoker, detatch
one to summon another Messengelato from deck, then
go into The Queen. Play your Ticket, detatch one
from Queen to target your detatched and the material
from Invoker to return 2 of your opponent's cards to
the deck and then search a Madolche off of Ticket.
That's a two card combo by the way that leads to
a +3! (took two cards from your hand [-2], you get
two from the summoned Gelato from deck and the
ticket and you return two cards your opponent
controls back to the deck and searched off of
Queen's effect toward Ticket [+5])
Its great support for the Madolche deck for sure.
It also leads toward Synchro based builds in order
to fill the grave with Hootcake with Targets, as you
never have Madolches in grave, and allows access
into the powerful Naturia synchros with engines like
the Teleport engine.
Advanced: 4.0
Its powerful archetype support. Sadly, Madolches
are simply out paced right now. Hopefully they,
along with the many other decks supported from this
set, get their chance to shine in the future
Traditional: 3.0
Its a Plus machine. I am sure there are
possibilities here.

Alright!! Today we are talking about another
fantastic card from Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy. It
is so good it is in the number 8 spot on the Top Ten
List. This card gives Madolche decks a huge boost
and makes them pretty competitive. It also has
“cake” in its name so you know it’s got to be good!
So let’s see if there are any other reasons to play
this card.
Madolche Hootcake
Attribute: Earth
Types: Beast/Effect
Level 3
When this card in your possession is destroyed by
your opponent's card (either by battle or by card
effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this
card into the Deck. You can target 1 monster in your
Graveyard; banish it, and if you do, Special Summon
1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck, except "Madolche
Hootcake". You can only use this effect of "Madolche
Hootcake" once per turn.
ATK/1500 DEF/1100
This card has really decent stats but it becomes
a 2000 attack beater when Madolche Chateau is on the
field. Now what really makes this card so good is
its effect. It can special summon monsters from your
deck by just removing a Madolche monster from your
grave. This means you can make powerful plays by
special summoning cards like the Madolche
Puddingcess, Messengalato, or another level 3
Madolche monster. Also if you special summon another
level 3 monster with this card’s effect you can
overlay into X- Saber Invoker and continue your
combos. I really don’t see many downsides to using
this card in Madolches. The only time it is bad is
when you don’t have a Madolche monster in the grave
but that isn’t too bad.
Advanced: 4.25/5
-This card is really good and the only things that
would make it better is if it could special summon
more Hootcakes and/or use its effect more than once
per turn.
Traditional: 3/5
-I probably wouldn’t run Madolche in this format but
if you do this card is probably a must.
Art: 5/5
This card’s art is pretty great but it is a bit
weird that this monster is not a winged-beast
monster.

Today's Card of the Day is Number #8 of the Top
10 Cards of Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy.
And we are going to visit a card that will no
doubt boost an underrated archetype: Madolches! That
card happens to be the Level 3 Beast-type monster,
Madolche Hootcake.
This card is actually pretty big for the deck for
a lot of reasons. It helps out with the deck's lack
of speed, makes Madolche Puddingcess more playable,
all while adding extra dimensions for the deck.
Before we go any further, let's cover the card's
stats:
Level 3/Beast/EARTH/Effect/1500 ATK/1100 DEF
When this card in your possession is destroyed by
your opponent's card (either by battle or by card
effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this
card into the Deck. You can target 1 monster in your
Graveyard; banish it, and if you do, Special Summon
1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck, except "Madolche
Hootcake". You can only use this effect of "Madolche
Hootcake" once per turn.
This is a Beast with 1500 ATK so Giant Rat can
actually tutor this card from your deck, even though
I'm sure you don't have to do that if you don't want
to. However, if you do, you do get a Giant Rat in
your Graveyard, which is great. Why is that
important? I will explain in a little bit.
First of all, Hotocake gets the generic Madolche
ability that if it gets destroyed by any means, it
goes back into your deck, keeping your Graveyard
nice and clean. As for its ability, it's sounds a
bit counterproductive since you have to banish a
monster in your Graveyard to use its ability but you
also have to keep in mind that it says ANY monster,
not just Madolche monsters. With that said, you can
banish a used-up Effect Veiler, Maxx "C", the
previously-mentioned Giant Rat, or our new Dragon
Ruler, Redox. What makes Redox special in this case
is that it does trigger its effect allowing you to
search for another Redox from your deck.
Anyway, once you banish a monster, you get to
Special Summon a Madolche monster from your deck.
That's quite the deal. You can Special Summon
Madolche Mewfeuille, a Level 3 monster, and make a
Rank 3 Xyz Summon. Special Summon Madolche
Messengelato and, since Madolche Hootcake is a
Beast-Type monster, search your deck for a Madolche
Spell or Trap. Lastly, you can Special Summon
Madolche Puddingcess, the initial boss monster of
the archetype, making the card a lot easier to use.
Overall, this card is really the backbone of the
deck making the cards actually work in a solid deck.
If you do play Madolches, definitely get your
Hootcakes.
Traditional Format: 1/5 (I'm sure Madolche is
simply way too slow to compete there.)
Advanced Format: 3/5 (With Hootcake around, Madolche
has the consistency to be a solid sleeper pick at
any time. It is something to keep watch as time goes
on.)

Madolche Hootcake
EARTH/Beast/Effect/Level3/1500/1100
When this card in your possession is destroyed by
your opponent's card (either by battle or by card
effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this
card into the Deck. You can target 1 monster in your
Graveyard; banish it, and if you do, Special Summon
1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck, except "Madolche
Hootcake". You can only use this effect of "Madolche
Hootcake" once per turn.
At number 8 of our top 10 cards from Lord of the
Tachyon Dragon is Madolche Hootcake, another monster
is the cake-based archetype. Madolche Hootcake has
two effects, the first is the standard Madolche back
to deck effect. The second effect is the powerful
and worryingly getting more common special summon a
monster from your deck effect. This time however,
you have to banish a monster from your graveyard, in
order to do so. The problem I see is that because of
the standard Madolche back to deck effect it’s not
going to be easy to get a monster in the grave,
without so creative means.
Overall, a powerful effect but even in its own
archetype it can be limiting.
