Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos
- #LTGY-EN040 If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 FIRE and/or Dragon-Type monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard, except this card; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 FIRE monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. If this card is banished: You can add 1 FIRE Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Wednesday
Now, the Dragon we covered Tuesday was good.
Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos is great. We have
a Level 7, Fire attributed Dragon, with 2800 attack
(excellent) and 1800 defense (decent). This Monster
has the same return to the Hand when Special
Summoned effect, regardless of by its own effect.
Also, it has the same Special Summon requirement,
as opposed to tributing, by sending two Fire and/or
Dragon type Monsters from your Hand and/or
Graveyard. Now, by discarding this card and one
other Fire Monster from your Hand to the Graveyard
you can destroy one card on the Field. Note you do
target said card before destroying it.
You also note, that like yesterday, when this
card is removed from play, you can add a Dragon,
Fire type Monster from your Deck to your Hand. The
trick here, like before, Fire actually makes this
Dragon fairly difficult to play in Dragons. I'd play
this guy in Fire Fist, and maybe even Laval, but
aside from that, he might be difficult to play.

Today we are looking at: Blaster, Dragon Ruler of
Infernos
like all the other Elemental dragons he has a
good search effect, and searches another card when
banished. The only thing that is much different
about him is that you can discard him and another
fire monster to destroy 1 card on the field. That's
good, but Draco is better and you won't always have
extra fire monsters in hand while playing Edragons;
but the option is nice.
Advanced: 4/5 (it's an Edragon)

Blaster Dragon Ruler of Infernos
Fire/Dragon/Effect/Level7/2800/1800
If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can
banish a total of 2 FIRE and/or Dragon-Type monsters
from your hand and/or Graveyard, except this card;
Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End
Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it
to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 FIRE
monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the

and only once that turn.
At number 3 of Pojo's Top ten from Lord of the
Tachyon Dragon is Blaster Dragon Ruler of Infernos.
If you remember I slated Tidal Dragon ruler of
waterfalls will this be any better. Ah, the more
things change the more they stay the same. First
off, Blaster Dragon Ruler of Infernos has something
that is very important for high level monsters, at
alternate summoning method. In this case by
banishing 2 FIRE Monsters or 2 Dragons or a combo of
both from your hand or graveyard or again a combo of
both, you can special summon this card from your
hand or graveyard. A bit costly as it still requires
you to give up two monsters but since it is so
versatile it more than makes you for it. This also
makes this card splashable in both FIRE and Dragon
decks. Also if this card is banished you can add a
FIRE Dragon-type to your hand, the only problem with
this effect is that it is very limiting, granted
there are monst ro choose from that the 9 Tidal
Dragon ruler of waterfalls had.
Now we get to the problems with this card. The
first is the great condition that if this card has
been special summoned (by any means) it returns to
your hand at the end of your opponent's turn. This
is really bad, given the cost of special summoning
this guy, it almost seems like a waste to have
special summoned him in the first place. His other
effect, it's clear what they are trying to do here,
basically allowing you to get
monsters so you can special summon him but you have
to remind yourself this is will only destroy 1 card,
whcih is really bad.
Overall Decent stats for a level 7, splashable
which is good, but none of his actual effects are
really worth the price.
