We look at a big Monster today in World of
Prophecy. She is a Level 9, Light attributed,
Spellcaster Monster, with 2900 attack and 2400
defense. With the arsenal of Prophecy Monsters
available, you probably wonder if you need to
include World in your Deck. When she is Special
Summoned by a Spellcaster Monster or a Spellbook
Magic card, you can target and add two Spellbook
Magic cards from your Graveyard and add them to your
Hand. You can't, however, Special Summon other
Monsters the turn you activate this effect. On one
hand, that's not great, but you did add a 2900
attack Monster to your side of the Field, and you
may be winning that turn anyway. Now the being
unable to Special Summon other Monsters does add
balance to this card, perhaps unnecessarily, for the
next effect. You can reveal four Spellbook Magic
cards in your Hand to destroy all other cards on the
Field. That's massive power right there, and it's
god it doesn't say they all have to have different
names or anything, and it's actually possible to do
this in a Spellbook Deck. Easier than you might
immediately think, believe it or not. Plus, if you
don't want the second effect, and Special Summon in
a different way, you can still Special Summon other
Monsters. You might have to try it and see if it
works in your Prophecy Deck. It doesn't exactly make
the Deck, but you're Deck isn't broken without it.

Spellbook/Prophecy decks got a new addition to
their arsenal after loosing their key card –
Spellbook of Judgment. While Judgment made the deck
sick, World of Prophecy makes for an interesting
twist to the deck. It gives you a very strong 2900
attack monster that you can use Honest with, two
Spellbook cards from the graveyard, and the ability
to blow up the field. That is amazing.
Playing World of Prophecy in you deck is not as
consistent as it is with High Priestess. With High
Priestess, we can at least special summon it from
the hand. If we happen to draw World of Prophecy, we
are stuck with it. For that reason, it would be wise
to run cards that can make good use of dead cards in
your hand, like Phoenix Wing Wind Blast or Raigeki
Break. Then you can use Spellbook of Life to
resurrect you World and still get its amazing
effects.
The best way to summon World of Prophecy is with
Temperance of Prophecy. With Temperance, Spellbook
of Secrets, and one other Spellbook card, you can
summon World of Prophecy and use its effect to get
the Secrets and a Master that you got with Secrets
back to your hand. With the Spellbook you got from
Master coping Secrets and the other Spellbook you
had in hand, you will have the four different
Spellbooks that you need to blow up the field,
leaving you to attack directly for 2900 damage.
You could also use Justice of Prophecy to get World
and Secrets to your hand and then pitch World with
one of the above cards and use Secrets to get Life
to resurrect World of Prophecy. A deck of this type
is fairly methodical getting you a big beater to the
field on each turn. What it does not do is spam
monsters to the field for a quick an overwhelming
kill like the top tier decks can do. World of
Prophecy allows you the ability to plus your
opponent in a big way while High Priestess can only
get you a plus one.
