With Eyes of Blue

During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that targets this face-up card (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Kisara, err Maiden with Eyes of Blue, who really
resembles Kisara from the Dawn of the Duel arc,
fairly appropriate I guess given what she does. We
have a Level 1, Spellcaster, Light attributed,
Tuner, with 0 attack and defense. But you don't need
to attack and I hope you don't have to defend with
her. Kisara can do a couple of neat tricks, and
obviously focuses on getting Blue Eyes White Dragon
to your Field, from anywhere, even if only one of
her effects can activate once a turn. If attacked,
you can negate the attack, change this cards battle
position, and Special Summon BEWD from your Hand,
Deck, or Graveyard. Furthermore, when a card or
effect is targeting this card, during either
players' turn, you can Special Summon BEWD from any
of the aforementioned places. Now, if she weren't a
Tuner, she'd be all but useless, as you can't use
her to Synchro a card you might see us look at
tomorrow.

Maiden with Eyes of Blue
LIGHT/Spellcaster/Tuner/Level 1/0/0
When this card is targeted for an attack: You can
negate the attack, and if you do, change the battle
position of this card, then you can Special Summon 1
"Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand, Deck, or
Graveyard. During either player's turn, when a card
or effect is activated that targets this face-up
card (except during the Damage Step): You can
Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your
hand, Deck, or Graveyard. You can only use 1 "Maiden
with Eyes of Blue" effect per turn, and only once
that turn.
Next up we have Maiden with Eyes of Blue, a new
tuner monster from the Saga of Blue-Eyes White
Dragon Structure Deck. First off the name is stupid
and just done so that this card cannot be counted as
a “Blue-Eyes” card. Statwise, which is almost
irrelevant on a Tuner, is well bad with 0 ATK or
DEF, but it is Tuner so this isn’t designed to stay
on the field for long.
Maiden with Eyes of Blue has two effects but you can
only use one of them per turn. They are both very
similar; the end result is you can Special Summon a
Blue-Eyes from your hand/deck/graveyard and both
effects require this card to be targeted. The main
difference is one is for being target for an attack
and the other is for when it is being targeted by a
card effect.
As mentioned they are very similar but the first
effect is better since it can negate the attack and
you get a Blue-Eyes so you can get out a level 9
Synchro Monster like Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon (which
will be reviewed tomorrow),
Overall if you play Blue-Eyes this is a no-brainer
and gives Blue-Eyes deck another useful tuner. If
you are not playing Blue-Eyes don’t bother with
this, there are plenty of other level 1 Tuners you
could use.

Continuing Blue-Eyes week, we have today’s
featured card, Maiden with Eyes of Blue:
Level 1
LIGHT
Spellcaster / Tuner
0 ATK / 0 DEF
When this card is targeted for an attack: You can
negate the attack, and if you do, change the battle
position of this card, then you can Special Summon 1
"Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand, Deck, or
Graveyard. During either player's turn, when a card
or effect is activated that targets this face-up
card (except during the Damage Step): You can
Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your
hand, Deck, or Graveyard. You can only use 1 "Maiden
with Eyes of Blue" effect per turn, and only once
that turn.
This is one tough chick. You can simply summon
her, and your opponent will have to just let her
stand there, lest they dare face the awesome might
of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. But of course, when
your opponent finds the right opportunity, they’ll
bait her out and get rid of her and Blue-Eyes. So
how do you avoid this?
By not waiting at all. She has the additional
effect of summoning Blue-Eyes if she’s targeted for
a card effect. This includes your own. If you target
her with a Forbidden Lance, or even a Fiendish
Chain, you can chain her effect and summon
Blue-Eyes. What’s better is that she’s a Spellcaster,
meaning she can also be targeted by the likes of
Spellbook of Power/Wisdom and Wonder Wand, the
latter of which will let you draw 2 cards on top of
summoning Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
This girl forces your opponent to think if you
sit on her, and can quickly become a force to be
reckoned with if you decide to target her yourself.
Don’t underestimate this one.
Traditional: 3/5
Advanced: 4/5
Art: 4/5 (She’s based off of Kisara from the
Millennium World arc, who’s Ka was the Blue-Eyes
White Dragon)
Tomorrow: Not your average blue eyes.
