Monday
Continuing from last week for a couple days, we're
going to look at a couple cards from the Blue Eyes
Structure Deck. Castle of Dragon Souls is a
Continuous Trap that is very good. Hell, it's game
breaking good, and has one tremendous thing going
for it. Some of this support in the Structure Deck
specifically caters to Blue Eyes White Dragon being
worded with phrases like "Normal Monsters." This
card doesn't have that restriction. First things
first, you can only control one of these at a time.
No big deal. Once a turn you can Banish a Dragon
from your Graveyard, to select a Monster you
control. Said Monster than gains 700 attack until
the End Phase. Even after this card leaves the
Field or said Monster becomes unaffected by card
effects. When this face-up card is destroyed, you
can Special Summon a Dragon you have that's removed
from play. Obviously Blue Eyes would be a great
choice, if it were removed, but as stated, its
versatile, not being limited by "Normal Monster."

Castle of Dragon Souls
Continuous Trap
Once per turn: You can banish 1 Dragon-Type monster
from your Graveyard, then target 1 monster you
control; it gains 700 ATK, until the End Phase (even
after this card leaves the field or the monster
becomes unaffected by card effects). When this
face-up card on the field is sent to the Graveyard:
You can target 1 of your banished Dragon-Type
monsters; Special Summon that target. You can only
control 1 "Castle of Dragon Souls".
Starting off this week we are looking at Castle of
Dragon Souls another new card from the Saga of
Blue-Eyes White Dragon structure deck. It’s a
continuous trap with two effects.
The first effect requires you to banish a Dragon in
order to give 1 monster you control 700 ATK until
the End Phase. Even though that monster keeps the
ATK boost even if this card goes or the monster
suddenly becomes unaffected by card effects,
banishing a monster is quite a high cost for a one
turn boost.
Of course that is where the second effect comes in,
if this face-up card goes to the graveyard, you can
special summon 1 of your banished dragons. Being
able to special summon a banished monster is very
good and the fact that this card just needs to go
from the field to the graveyard without worrying how
it got there is a plus.
Overall the first effect a bit costly for the small
boost, but the second effect is quite useful
especially if your deck banishes a lot of Dragons.
