roposphere
Simple effect. It's unaffected by traps but
you need to tribute a Winged-Beast for it.
Basically, it's only remotely useful in a
Winged-Beast deck but with the nature of that deck
type, there are probably other spell/trap
negation/removal cards that will be better. As
it stands, Jinzo is a better monster that eclipses
this card because it negates ALL of your opponent's
traps. Or, in the order direction, Elemental
Hero Wildheart is a little weaker but way more
versatile.
It's a vanilla (no effect) on Special Summon in an
era where Tribute Monsters no matter how good they
are are less valuable overall. Not a terribly
bad card but I don't see much room for it anywhere.
Traditional - 1.0
Advanced - 2.0 (context: Winged-Beast deck)

Troposphere
WIND/Winged Beast/Effect/Level 6/2400/2000
If you Tribute Summon this card, the Tribute must be
Winged Beast-Type. This card is unaffected by the
effects of Trap Cards.
Next up this week we have a card used by Atticus
Rhodes from the Brilliant GX manga; Troposphere in
the Manga Atticus is actually portrayed as a
powerful duellist, so his cards should be a lot
better.
Statwise Troposphere is a WIND/Winged-Beast, the
best kind of Winged-Beast with 2400 ATK always good
to see on a level 6 and 2000 DEF which is very good
for a monster with such good ATK.
Effectwise first off is the condition that if it’s
Tribute Summoned it must be done so by Tributing a
Winged-Beast. Well; chances are you will be using
this guy in a Winged-Beast deck and of course he can
still be special summoned, so the condition is
largely pointless. Its main effect is the same as
what it has in the manga, it is unaffected by the
effects of Trap Cards. So you have an E-Hero
Wildheart with more ATK and DEF which is good.
Overall a solid level 6 monster, there is never
anything wrong with some protection, not the
greatest level 6 monster but for Winged-Beast
players it might be something to look at.

Troposphere is almost like a worse version of Jinzo,
which isn't good for its playability, as Jinzo isn't
a very good card anymore. Comparing the two, they
have the same attack and are both 1 tribute
monsters. Jinzo doesn't allow your opponent to use
traps at all, while Troposphere is simply unaffected
by traps himself. Troposphere allows you to play
traps, but it doesn't provide protection to the rest
of your plays like Jinzo does. Which is better for
you is largely a case by case basis.
The main thing that kills Troposphere's playability
when compared to Jinzo is that you can only tribute
Winged-Beast monsters to summon Troposphere. This
means that tribute engines like Frogs that can
actually make its summon manageable won't work for
summoning Troposphere. You'd have to use a
Winged-Beast tribute engine, and to my knowledge
there aren't any good ones. This forces you to take
a minus to summon Troposphere or find a way to
special summon him, like Call of the Haunted,
Ninjitsu Art of Transformation, or Soul Charge.
