This card is a "Madolche Anjelly" and "El Shaddoll Fusion" in one.  It's ****ing nuts!

Noble Knights always had those thunderous complex combos and each set they got good support like Brothers. But what was always missing was the most crucial aspect - consistency.

You can go into Borz or you can go into Medraut to get out Borz to use Borz's effect.  When it comes to XYZing, I can go into Artorigus during my opponent's turn and stack it with three arms of my choice.  This practically ensures my setup is near impossible to get over.

It's victim to Breakthrough Skill which is less commom due to Qliphorts but be prepared for Skill Drain.  Noble Knights can finally be competitive, maybe tier 1, with Merlin out.  The deck also has ROTA, Upstart, and Borz/Medraut themselves but Merlin is the tipping point.

Today's card is indeed quite magical. Merlin is true Noble Knight support at its core and nothing more. With 1400/500 for ATK/DEF, and being a DARK/Spellcaster, not much can be done on its own. But with its multiple effects, it can start up the Noble Knight engine real quick and without warning. You can tribute Merlin to special summon any Noble Knight monster from your deck, but you cannot special summon other monsters except Noble Knight monsters. During either player's turn, you can banish this card from your grave to either Synchro or Xyz summon a Noble Knight monster using monsters you control. Merlin can be the beginning of the end for your opponent if used at the right time.
