Tuesday
Continuing the Gravekeeper portion of the week is
Gravekeeper's Nobleman. This Gravekeeper is a
Spellcaster, Dark attributed, and Level 3, with 1000
attack and defense. So she's not the strongest but
she does provide a very necessary effect to your
Deck. When destroyed in face-down defense position,
(easy enough), you can Special Summon a Gravekeeper
from your Deck in face-down defense position. There
is the condition this card has to be sent to the
Graveyard, you get nothing if it's removed from
play. But since it has to be destroyed face-down,
odds are, that won't be a problem most of the time.
Taking a look at the Gravekeeper's you can choose
(obviously any) this is a great asset to your Deck.
You should be using two of these I say

We continue with the Gravekeeper theme with a
review on Gravekeeper’s Nobleman. Nobleman adds
another recruiter to the Gravekeeper theme. It can
be searched from your deck with cards like Mystic
Tomato and Gravekeeper’s Recruiter, and then it can
search out cards like Gravekeeper’s Spy and Guard.
It can also search out Gravekeeper’s Visionary to
make use of all of those Gravekeeper monsters that
have been recruited, destroyed, and are now in the
graveyard.
The drawback to Gravekeeper’s Nobleman, besides the
fact that it is slow, is that it must be on your
side of the field and attacked by your opponent’s
monster to get its effect. This means that Creature
Swap will not be of much use to you and attacking
into your opponent’s monster will do you no good. By
having to wait for your opponent to attack you, you
give the initiative to your opponent. Decks like
Fire Fist and Fire Kings will eat your Gravekeeper
deck alive.
Even with all of the new support cards and monsters
in the game, Gravekeeper’s still have not proven
that they can keep pace with the current Meta.
Gravekeeper’s Nobleman is just too slow and clumsy.
It is not a bad card in a Gravekeeper deck as it
gives you more Gravekeeper monsters.

Hey everyone. We continue to
look at the new Gravekeeper cards with today's
selection, Gravekeeper's Nobleman.
When this dude is destroyed by battle in which the
opponent's monster has declared the attack, you can
summon a Gravekeeper monster from the deck
face-down. The first thing that would come to mind
of course is Gravekeeper's Spy, who could
immediately have her effect activate if your
opponent keeps attacking, or Guard to bounce another
monster your opponent controls.
The biggest problem I'm seeing
here though is that your opponent has to attack it.
This means you can't pop it with Descendant, or
even put it in attack mode to ram it. You're stuck
with putting it face-down and hoping your opponent
doesn't pop it, which given the notorious history of
Spy is probably the first thing they're going to try
to do.
It's not terrible, you'll still get the effect
sometimes and being able to summon ANY Gravekeeper
is pretty useful, but it having to be when your
opponent declares the attack hurts it. I might play
one or two, but I wouldn't put it on the pedestal
that Spy and Recruiter already share.

Hello Pojo Fans,
It's a Gravekeeper heavy week, and today we're
reviewing Gravekeeper's Nobleman. A Dark Spellcaster
like all “Gravekeeper” monsters, Nobleman is a level
3 with 1000ATK/1000DEF. When it is destroyed by an
opponents monster and sent to the Graveyard: You can
Special Summon 1 "Gravekeeper's" monster from your
Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Gravekeeper's
Nobleman".
Nobleman adds a whole new way of fueling
Gravekeeper's Descendant. Nobleman is destroyed,
Special Summon Descendant if you have Spy or
Recruiter already on the field in some form, or
Special Summon Spy and set up next turn. Snatching
and setting Gravekeeper's Guard can help eliminate a
troublesome monster from your opponent's side of the
field. In the late game (with several Gravekeeper's
in your grave) Nobleman can bring out Gravekeeper's
Visionary. Visionary at the least will be 2200ATK
with only Nobleman in the grave, but likely will be
past 3000ATK most of the time. Much like Recruiter
and Descendant before him, Nobleman is the card
Gravekeepers needed to thrust them back into the
talks of being a Tier 1 deck.
His stats aren't great, 1000ATK, even with the boost
from Necrovalley, making him 1500ATK won't be
winning too many battles. Being a level 3 in a deck,
you're only running another level 3 in Recruiter,
and you won't be Xyz Summoning a Rank 3 because
you'll be using Recruiter to fuel Descendant.
Nobleman isn't made for Xyz Summoning though, it's
meant to search out something and set it on the
field, setting up your next move.

Gravekeeper's Nobleman
Basically like GK recruiter, except it adds to the
field rather than the hand. Let's be perfectly
honest in saying that the only GK monster you would
really want to summon facedown is Gravekeeper's Spy
(and that, to be fair, is the best one). If your
opponent has no more monsters left to attack, you
can set any GK monster you want. Since you can't ram
into opponent's monsters or use Creature Swap with
it, it's usage is restricted. And 1500 ATK with
Necrovalley isn't totally horrible but it's still a
bit lacking.
In Traditional, it's too slow in a format full of
cards like Raigeki, but in Advanced...
Oh.... wait a minute!
There's no level or ATK restriction! You can summon
any Gravekeeper you want. Even LV5 or higher ones.
Definitely worth considering for sure. Don't use 3
copies because “destroy-by-battle” monsters are
still slow, but certainly use at least 1.

It must be weird living in a world where
hieroglyphs are painted on the sky. No wonder the
Gravekeeper's seem so upset, eh mate? Hello my
dearies, and welcome to this review of another some
Gravekeeper's monster.
The high level Gravekeeper's (apart from
yesterday's card) are usually not good largely
because you have to tribute summon them. This
lad/lass, by getting destroyed (just set it since it
has like 1000 DEF) can summon out one of the
fatties: Gravekeeper's Visionary, Gravekeeper's
Chief, or Gravekeeper's Oracle. With that said,
they're all still awful. This card's true shine is
getting out any one of the good Gravekeeper's
monsters you're running. You could get it destroyed,
set a spy from your deck, then on your turn flip Spy
and bring out Descendant and pop a card or two. It's
got many uses, my dearies, so now leave and find
them. Go with my blessings, you crazy kids.
Ways to counter Nobleman (oh hey, I guess now we
know his gender): Do you also worry about attacking
into Geargiarmor? Just attack and deal with whatever
it gets out.
