Shifting gears ever so slightly is Bujingi Pavo. This is another Level 4, Light attributed, Winged-Beast Monster. 1700 attack isn't bad, 800 defense isn't good, I like balance. Anyway, this guy actually has a good effect, and is a decent enough attacker. When a Beast-Warrior Bujin you control is destroyed by Battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can discard this card from your Hand to Special Summon another Bujin from your Deck. Said effect can only be used once per turn. Now, this isn't bad, I mean, Monster replenishment is good. The down is, it's not enough, and/or you're giving up too much. I mean, you lose a Monster from the Field and your Hand, for one from your Deck. That's a -1 folks...still better than yesterday.

Halfway through the week and another “Bujin” monster we have up for review. Bujin Pavo is a Light, Winged Beast-type monster, level 4 with 1700ATK/800DEF. “When a Beast Warrior-Type "Bujin" monster you control is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Bujin" monster from your Deck. You can only use the effect of "Bujingi Pavo" once per turn.”
 
Pavo can hold it's own with 1700ATK, but not so much with 800DEF. There are six Bujin Beast-Warrior monsters that can help to activate Pavo's effect: Arasuda, Mikazuchi, Yamato, Kagutsuchi, Susanowo, and Tsukuyomi. When either are destroyed, Pavo can be sent from your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon a Bujin from your Deck. Special Summoning any Bujin monster during your opponents turn is great. Any of the above six get destroyed and hit the grave, discard Pavo and bring out any Bujin you want, or another copy of the monster that was just destroyed (excluding  Kagutsuchi, Susanowo, and Tsukuyomi).
 
A lot of times you will be protecting your Bujin monsters (especially Yamato), so Pavo may not be instant gratification. Pavo may be left out in place of Swallow and Crane, as they protect and can gain advantage rather than break even like Pavo will, and those “Bujin”  monsters don't require a Beast-Warrior “Bujin” monster. Pavo is still a good card for a Bujin deck, and should be played. It's not the best, but it is the decks Mystic Tomato-like monster.

Bujingi Pavo

On the up side: It's decent support for Bujins. It can protect your life points, replace dead monsters, and help you maintain field presence. It's also a strong searcher.

On the down side: Bujin monsters destroyed by card effects are not protected. And unfortunately, no matter how much skill you put into it, this can can never become more than a 1-for-1.

All in all, not essential, but definitely worth using.

It is now day three of Shinto mythology. Look, my precious guppies, look and notice how the TCG-Exclusive Bujingis are all black? This seems to be pointing to Bujin Zane Truesdale/Ryo Marufuji.

Anyway, welcome to my review of Bujingi Pavo. This one will be simple. Anything that let's you summon whatever you want from the deck generally is a good card, but let's look a bit closely with this one. Bujin is an archetype that tries to keep the Beast-Warrior on the field at all costs, so this one being used in case a Bujin dies seems a bit odd. However, it never hurts to be prepared just in case you can't protect that Bujin. Running one of this guy won't kill you and it may pay to be prepared for the worst, but again, you don't exactly NEED it.
