Bujingi Peacock is a good enough piece of support for it's theme.  Level 4, Light, Beast-Warrior, these are good things to work with, as is the 1800 attack, even if the 700 defense kinda sucks.  He kinda works in reverse, as you can activate the effect of this card during Main Phase 2, to send it form the Hand to the Graveyard, to add a Bujin Monster from your Deck to your Hand.  A simple and likely useful 1-for-1, kinda makes the 1800 attack (and everything else) worthless though.  You can only use the effect once per turn, and only activated Bujin cards/effects the turn you plan to use this effect, but obviously in the Deck, that's not a big deal.  This Archtype is better than it lets on, but it's not great or enough to take over.

Bujingi Peacock
LIGHT/Winged Beast/Effect/Level 4/1800/700

Next up we have new Bujin support, Bujingi Peacock. Statwise it is a level 4 Light/Winged Beast so it has lots of support from those things alone and it is bad of an archetype so even more support. 1800 ATK is quite good for a level 4 is quite good, shame about the poor 700 DEF.

Effectwise it has a very strange searcher, you send this card from your hand to the grave and you get 1 “Bujin” monster from your deck. Nothing strange there, except for the conditions. First off you can only activate this card during your Main Phase 2, so you have had to already enter your Battle Phase and it probably means the monster you add isn’t going to be much help to you since your turn is nearly over. The second condition is even worse, you can’t use this effect if you played any non Bujin effects this turn, so that hurts it even more. Of course the is the usual once per turn condition but that’s now expected.

Overall, a searcher that is ruined by too many ridiculous conditions, it works better as an attacker than a searcher.

Bujingi Peacock

Howdy there today's card is Bujingi Peacock, one of the new tech cards for Bujin and really one that allows for more consistency and strategy in the deck, once you set up you can use it to further increase your advantage and what is really nice it couples well with Mikazuchi which will allow for a double search.

Traditional: 2/5 (kind of slow here)
Advanced: 4/5 (much needed search engine via hand)

Art: 5/5 I marvel at the art of the Bujin some people may call them mainstream or "the deck", to me they are just a unique way to play the game a lot more strategic and the art is gorgeous.

Bujini Peacock

This is a would-have-been-great card that is hampered by too many restrictions. Main Phase 2 only, being the biggest. The fact that you can only activate Bujin cards is another. The stats are okay, but it has no on-field or in-graveyard effect. It's just a really dumbed down version of ROTA, but it still is a 1-for-1 searcher so it's still well capable of benefitting you. Best to be activated during a turn where you just never happened to use a non-Bujin card. One or two (at the most) could be used in Bujin's though it's not really essential either.

1/5 – Traditional (so , I cant activate pot of greed? No way.)
3/5 - Advanced (in context of the deck type)

Terrorking The brightly-colored bird you think of when you see or hear the word "peacock" is actually the males of the species. They have those bright feathers to attract mates (and predators), you see. Female peacocks are rather innocuous brown things. Yes, I have branched out to teaching you about non-yugioh things. But worry not, my dear guppies, I shall not deviate too much. Hello, young ones, and enjoy.

Bujingi Peacock makes searching out your Bujin Beast-Warriors even easier, you know, if Duality and Tenki weren't enough for you. Moreover, this triggers the effects of Bujin Arasuda and Bujin Mikazuchi by itself. This card, however, prevents you from activating non-Bujin effects for the turn and can only be used in Main Phase 2, i.e. after the Battle Phase has ended. Does getting Yamato ASAP warrant the consequences of using this card? You decide. I, personally, recommend using 1 or 2 of them. And as we all know by now, you all value my opinion more than even your own. Good guppies.

Countering Peacock: Don't worry about the gis.

Lullaby

Hello Pojo Fans,

Today we strut our stuff with a Bujingi monster: Bujingi Peacock. A level 4 Winged Beast, LIGHT with 1800ATK/700DEF, Peacock is a watered-down version of Yamato. “During your Main Phase 2: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; add 1 "Bujin" monster from your Deck to your hand. You cannot activate cards or effects the turn you activate this effect, except "Bujin" cards. You can only use the effect of "Bujingi Peacock" once per turn.”

Peacock has standard stats for a level 4 monster, it's defense not really an issue here. You can search out Peacock with Photon Veil, Bujingi Peacock, Yamato, Pavo, or Susanowo. If not using Bujingi Peacock for attacking, you will be dropping it from your hand in Main Phase 2 for another Bujin monster, as long as you didn't activate any card effects this turn other than Bujin cards. Peacock searches out any Bujin monster from your deck, setting up plays before ending your turn, or setting up for next turn. Ditch Peacock for Yamato, summon Yamato, and trigger Yamato's effect.

Having to discard this card to the grave to gain its effect (though like many of the Bujin monsters) can be a negative. If you could tribute it in Main Phase 2, or if it could search any Bujin card then it would be a better monster. Not being able to activate Peacock's effect if you activated any other cards that weren't Bujin cards can also handicap your playing. No Forbidden Lance, no Honest, no Dark Hole. Sometimes you need to activate cards to survive, but then you can't use Peacock and have to either use it to attack and lose out on its effect, or wait a turn to activate it in your next Main Phase 2.
