Paladin
Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms (Gwen-eh-far I believe is how that's pronounced) is an interesting card, in the ever growing (unnecessarily?) support of Noble Arms, Knights, etc.  Like most of the other helpers to this Deck/Archtype, the stats are all but irrelevant.  Level 2 isn't really important, but Light and Spellcaster are great, and 300 attack and defense don't do squat really either.  SO what can this card do?  She's essentially a Union who is dependent on the attribute (Light/Dark) of who she's equipped too.  It's good she can be from the Hand and/or Graveyard, that makes her more useful, in theory, at least.  If Light, the equipped Monster wouldn't be destroyed (if so by a card effect) but she would.  If Dark, at the start of the Damage step the equipped Monster Battles, destroy that card, and then this card.  The second effect I view as better, but even with both I don't see this as all that useful.  There are better and quicker ways to achieve both those effects...and better ones too

Next up we have a new Noble Knight support monster Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms. Statwise there isn’t anything to talk about since this card would never be in a Monster Card Zone.

Effectwise, this card once per turn can be equipped from the hand or Graveyard to a Noble Knight monster. That monster gains 300 ATK, which isn’t a great boost. Its other effect depends on the Attribute of the equipped monster. LIGHT gives it a one shot destruction protection by card effect, while DARK gives it an optional one-shot Ally of Justice Catastor effect, the fact that it is optional is good but still the one-shot factor doesn’t help. Of course if it is in the Graveyard you can equip again, if you haven’t done it already this turn.

Despite this, the fact it is searchable since it has Noble Arms in its name and it can keep coming back means that  Gwenhwyfar will see a lot of play in Noble Knight Decks

Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms

Howdy there today's card is Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms, one of the new Noble cards from Legacy and one heck of a card, protects and has utility, great tech card, unfortunately she is a spellcaster and has limited use as far as synchro/xyz, but she sure as hell can protect the big boys ;D

Traditional: 1/5 (New cards can't do much)
Advanced: 4/5 (Great tech, useless as far as xyz help)

Art: 11/5 She is gorgeous and I love the shadows art.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Today we're looking at another “Noble Knights” card, but this one is different from the rest. Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms is a level 2, Light Spellcaster, 300ATK/300DEF monster. Her effect is  that you can target 1 "Noble Knight" monster you control and equip Gwenhwyfar to that Noble Knight from your hand or grave. You can only use this effect of "Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms" once per turn. The equipped monster gains 300 ATK. Then, depending on the Noble Knight's attribute, you apply the following effect. If it is a light, then if the equipped monster would be destroyed by a card effect, you can destroy this card instead. If the Noble Knight is dark, then if the equipped monster battles an opponent's monster, at the start of the Damage Step: You can destroy that monster, then destroy this card.

There hasn't been a Noble Knight monster or support monster that can equip themselves to another Noble Knight. Being able to equip herself from the hand or the Graveyard maximizes Gwenhwyfar's effect possibilities. Treated as a “Noble Arms” Equip Spell, that means any Noble Knight needing a “Noble Arms” card attached to it to gain its effect will gain its effect with Gwenhwyfar attached. Most Knoble Knights are light monsters, but change to dark when equipped with a “Noble Arms” card, so you likely will be using the dark effect. Having an Ally of Justice Catastor effect possibly every turn for your Noble Knight isn't a bad thing. If it remains a light, then your Noble Knight will be protected from the first card effect that destroys a monster(s) your opponent may play. The attack gain is nice, but it isn't the reason why you'd play Gwenhwyfar. Reveal her with Noble Knight Borz effect and you are guaranteed to use her that turn (though you'd prefer the random card your opponent sends to your hand wouldn't be Gwenhwyfar, as you would essentially plus off her being in the grave and you breaking even with the “Noble Arms” card you'd get from Borz).

She won't be doing any attacking of her own. Even as a level two, her attack and defense are terrible. She has some support, being a light monster, but as a spellcaster in a heavy warrior deck is a disadvantage. Ignoble Knight of Black Laundsallyn and Noble Knight Borz are the only likely searchable ways to get Gwenhwyfar to your hand (unless in your Noble Knights you are running Photon Veil). If you get into a topdeck war, she isn't going to do you any good, though she can defend you, then once you draw a Noble Knight monster you are in business. I think with her low stats and level, and type differing from the warrior-theme of the deck, Gwenhwyfar could've been made the Tuner of the deck.

She is meant to only be used in Noble Knights. If you play the deck, you'll be running at least two of her.

Traditional- 1/5 (4/5 in Noble Knights)
Advanced- 1/5 (4/5 in Noble Knights)
Art- 4.5/5- A monster capable of becoming an equip spell reaching for an equip spell, very appropriate.

Gwenhwyfar,_Queen_of_Noble_Arms

I don't like the Noble Knight archetype because it's not set up to generate card advantage. The fact this can equip from the graveyard is cool but when I think of two star monsters that equip from the graveyard I start thinking about my Dragunity deck & how mad Dragon Ravine being banned made me. Now if this was a tuner that had a ladder building synchro deal going on I'd be all over it but sadly it's not such a monster. This monster has to get to the graveyard to really use its effect in a means that generates card advantage; if I was going to equip from the hand I'd just use an equip spell card. For its archetype it's an interesting support card but nothing that is really game changing.

Gwenhywyfar, Queen of Noble Arms

Pretty much a Butterfly Dagger Elma for Noble Arms, a constant 300 ATK buff. Though aware of loops with Elma like Gearfried the Iron Knight, Konami has placed fair, but not too burdening restrictions on this card to keep it relatively balanced (yet not cripple it). With weak stats, would want to find a way to dump this card to the graveyard other than summoning it though.  With it's effects, the DARK effect can come in handy on some occasions, in a battle that the monster itself cannot win. The LIGHT effect is more reliable, especially considering you can do this every turn.

Let's emphasize the fact that you can re-use this card every turn with no cost. You can re-use this card every turn with no cost. You can re-use this card every turn with no cost. You can re-use this card every turn with no cost. Okay... you get my point.

Every Noble Arms deck should use at least one of these. The only thing not to like about this card (stats aside) is playing against it.

Terrorking

Ah, here we are. The archetype has finally gained Arthur's wife, Guinevere. But in keeping with the Welsh, this card's name is some unpronounceable garble of random letters and such.

Today's card is Gwenhwyfar, Queen of Noble Arms (no, not Knights, but their arms). She is the answer to their troubles since she can Inzektor them. That is, equip to them from the hand or Graveyard. Her other effects are wholly irrelevant. Most of the Noble Knights require a "Noble Arms" to be equipped to them from them to do anything worthwhile, and that's what this card does. In a pinch you can set it, have your opponent destroy it and then for the rest of the game you'll have Noble Knights that can get their effects off of her.

Now I know I said her effects are pointless, but that was only to drive home the fact that her main selling point is equipping from the Graveyard. She gives your monsters a 300 boost, which makes every Noble Knight of note have 2000 or more ATK, nothing to sneeze at. She also gives out an extra effect depending on the attribute of the monster she equips herself to. The effect she gives while equipped to a Light is one-time protection because if the equipped monster is gonna be destroyed she destroys herself instead. The one given to Darks is monster destruction right before actual battle, so that turns your monsters into removal.

Ways to Counter Gwenhwyfar: remove it from the graveyard, chain to her equip effect and destroy her target, destroy the knights on-summon etc.
